I think Empire was a bit rushed... It shows india, it shows America, but it completely ignores most of asia, africa, and the middle east...

imo i think it could have been expanded...

the problem i have with this review is the fact that it shoves the naval battle crash into a little hole... Naval battles will crash your game... be that you spend a 10k gaming computer... it will crash your game... graphics issue/processor

If you want a better experience with new gen total war buy Napoleon:TW

sorry to break it to you but this app doesnt allways work coz it says my comp can run Skyrim Elder Scrolls V and Mass Effect 3 on recommended settings. AS IF??!?!?! PROVE ME WRONG!?! The campaign is much better in Empire than Shogun 2.

The multiplayer has more features in Shogun 2, both I prefer Napoleon. So I Bought the three of them :D

The turns on this game can take very long to complete. You spend like 30 secs actually doing something and about 5 to 10 mins just waiting in between turns. I actually am having a problem where im at 1827 and now france's turn takes almost an hour to complete.

Napoleon's only edge is the unfinished Jakobite mod

Download DMUC mod, best mod, even better than the Morrowind overhaul: Sounds and graphics mod

Empire is by far my favorite of the totalwar games, and don't get me wrong Rome and Medieval 2 are a blast, but its just that my favorite epoch of human history is the Early Modern and Imperial age. Also I've downloaded a mod that allows me to play as any none emergent faction in the campaign, which makes the game as infinantly replayable as Rome and Med2 was.

It's well worth your if you have a p.c that can run the game, and if you get sick of the same old game play there is a large mod community at the Twcent.net. Just click on forums for empier total war. (Sorry youtube wont let me post the link :P)

As for mods I would either go with Darthmod or Imperial Splendour. Both of these mods will let you play the regular game as well.

got it from steam and i'm so glad i did, love this game. although i have to say playing as the brits is very easy, simply roll over other factions, and i played for a bit as the marathas and they were good too even though they lack the amount and quality of units that the brits get. it was all fun and games until britain invaded from nowhere and they ripped me a new whole. bloody brits!!! :P

My only issue with ETW is that it moves too damn slow. I have to click on things 10 times for it to move or do what I want. With that said, I still like it. My fav is Medieval Total War 2. MTW has the best music. But Rome is good too. The only thing about ETW is that you can't enter cheat codes b/c of the way they formatted the game. But that makes it more fun.

this nutcase gave the game 10/10 when empire was first released. its since been changed back to 9.5 by IGN admins i guess. I think this deserved around a 7.5 with AI weighing down the score dramatically!

This game is good but there are so few nations! Why can't you be Georgia, Genoa, Denmark, Norway, Persia, Morocco, Portugal, Mughal. I mean unless you want to be either Turkey or Spain (which are already massive Empires) the ENTIRE Mediterranean can be totally ignored. Just let me be Venice or the Italian States! Christ!

use your skirmishers wisely, concentrate your line infantry fire and you will see the difference
