Tax cuts aren't ideal. Real governments wouldn't politicize taxes. Local governments don't..can't. How does local government pay its bills? Property tax. They prepare a budget, then apply a tax rate to the base. Income taxes ought to be done this way. So, a budget gets done, total income is reviewed, and in an economic downturn the people making the money pay the tax. Even the indexing could be voted on and adjusted. Pay your taxes and quit your crying.

I have a couple problems with that, number one, the 50's are over. Communism is not inherently evil. In fact, most people ARE communists to some extent. I don't think anybody disagrees with the guiding principles(equality, economic equilibrium). The way it is imposed can be plenty evil, but van Jones showed no sign of doing that, and he was not even in a position to do so. He was an adviser on energy. as for 9/11 truther, read the petition.

You should rename the video "Me talking about random news(and my opinion about it)" because you only talk about "McCain Feingold Voided by Federal Court of Appeals" for about 30 seconds on a 4:31 video. Plus you didn't really read the details about the case or go into detail about the case in the video, so there is no point to call it "McCain Feingold Voided by Federal Court of Appeals."

I'm glad McCain-Feingold got struck down but not because I'm opposed to limiting how much can be contributed to a campaign so much as for the fact that it made it dramatically harder for independent groups to get their voices heard but making the paperwork requirements too complicated. That's where the real freedom of speech issue is with it. To be quite blunt, the fact that a rich person's opinion is weighed more because they can contribute more limits everyone else's freedom in that regard.

Lincoln WAS a racist, and he had no strong desire to end slavery. His purpose was to maintain federal control over the South, not to end slavery. If he could have done that while maintaining slavery in the South, he would have.
He USED the fact that popular sentiment in the North had turned against slavery in order to get popular support for his bloody war and scorched earth tactics.
Racism is wrong and ugly, but Lincoln is no hero to the cause of anti-racism and tolerance.
