@GRIZZ258: It's pretty obvious actually, it's because a fighting game has a much smaller environment. They don't have to render thousands of square miles, so they can use almost every single ounce of calculating power to render just two character models and the textures can be much more detailed. It's the same reason why GTA can't be as detailed as God of War, for example. The smaller and less free is the evironment, the better is the graphics.
