  • I installed this because vista decided to fuck itself, installed ubuntu and restored my PC, thank you ubuntu.

  • "Tired of confusing & bloated Windows eyecandy?"

"Come on over to Linux and experience more confusing & bloated eyecandy!"

I'm using a simplistic Windows 2000 like interface in Windows 7 for a good reason, it works.

Classic Shell plus a few registry tweaks to fix windows explorer and I'm good to go.

  • Aha my last name is Bacon! Sorry its just such a rare sir name its always exciting when I come across another Bacon.

  • ubuntu 11 is total failure tons of bugs when instaling tons of bugs after instalation put this sheet in ass and dont relese it anymore ubuntu 10 was awesome i will never again update this sheet and instal any other version than 10

11 is totail fail same as sheet nvidia drivers witch is not working in ubuntu 11 since today i got all fuking updates off they just improve your fuking computer and adding new bugs to your system

  • Unity I expect to do the same thing as Pulse Audio did when it was first added to Ubuntu.

    It made Ubuntu unusable.

It's as if Ubuntu is trying it's hardest to make itself suck. I am starting to get tired of being a fucking beta tester for all their shit.

  • Didn't find Unity intuitive. Some nice features like the fast search but the rest was confusing as hell.

  • it's so painfully ironic that i've just installed Ubuntu 11.04 and i'm using it right now, but i don't know how to get Flash 10 so i can watch this damn video :S

firefox says plugins are found, but when i click on the message, it says no suitable plugins available. Wow...

  • @BrEnNo1023 get flash from the ubuntu software centre just search flash

  • @BrEnNo1023 y r u even using it if you can't figure out something that simple.

  • @BigThangsPoppinMayne guess i had that one coming didn't I? instead of giving a helping hand to a windows user who's never used linux before, and wanted to give it a go, you go ahead and insult him instead. way to go. feel good about yourself now? pat yourself on the back for knowing more about linux than a first time user. you earned that one.

  • @BrEnNo1023 lmao i was being rude cuz it was something so simple to figure out, you're not an advanced user at all. i could understand if you were asking on how to install a driver or update something, but installing flash? all u had to do is click on the error that you were getting, it woulda redirected you to the adobe website and you just had to run the install. but anyways sry for being rude i was a noob at some point also. if you have common sense you can be an advanced user

  • @BrEnNo1023 Ubuntu restricted extras package installs flash, java, some audio plugins etc.

  • @BrEnNo1023 just go to the adobe flash webpage and choose the +apk option (not the *.deb or the others) ubuntu software center will open and follow the instructions, it's very easy!

  • noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • wtf i have just downloaded ubuntu 10 5 days and ubuntu 11 is out!! bitches

  • fu*k i hate ubuntu 11.04, just install it

    so pain in the s

  • It is very like mac os x. But I should say I hate the top menu replace the the title bar which make me harder to reach the close window button. Windows ui style is ok. Mac os x is not so perfect that we should copy everything.

  • looks like gnome with a sidebar

  • Ubuntu Ultimate v2.7 FTW

  • Unity so far seems faster than gnome. It's a bit of a learning curve though

  • i will install ubuntu 11 BUT with gnome! if there isnt gnome version i will stay on my 10.10

  • Im a researcher in emerging sciences and from my point of view, i think Maverick is pretty cool and fast. I run it on an HP DV-7 notebook and have no complains. It actually runs faster than Lucid aka 10.04. I prefer the classic look and feel. Again, its my opinion and i do use cool Compiz all the time on dual monitors running 8 desktops. I dont see the point of having Unity as main desktop. I'd stick with good old Maverick Meerkat. By the way, Ubuntu is the OS of choice !

  • I was a bit Ify about the unity being integrated with the desktop versions but this video helped me realize how useful it can be now. Thanks!

  • Cool looks like Unity is getting much better
