One of the best "Noel" tracks done ,ever,i remember when it came out in 93 it was great then, it is 2010,2011 and it still kick butt production wise now......David Foster is the man,and his crew,producing this track,of course Bebe and CeCe stuff is phenomenal when they had Keith Thomas produced their stuff,Victor and Cedric Caldwell not too shabby.....

I have this cd.And it is one of my favorite Christmas albums of all time.Whenever I hear this version it brings tears to my eyes.Just thinking about the Gift that My Savior Gave to all of us.I love the end of this,the harmony with the choir is gorgeous.

I would rate this version of the First Noel as you did. Actually a relative of mine has a version of this song by the Brooklyn Tabernacle choir. The opening stanza of this song performed by this choir is just stunning and awe inspiring with their interpretation. If you don't know about this choir it is at least 250+ voices. Unfortunately this song was part of a medley of Xmas songs by the choir. After the first two verses,(about 1:45 into the recording) they go directly into another song.

isaiah, It's not on youtube. I searched. My Mom has the CD. It's entitled "Light of the World". The CD came out in 2001, distributed by Word Music Entertainment. The song is #2 on the CD and part of a Christmas Carol Medley. It's the 2nd song after "Tell me the story of Jesus", performed by the choir. Only lasts about 1:45 before it goes into "Angels we have heard". But, the slow cadence of the song and harmonies in this huge choir is breathtaking! Should have been longer, IMO.

For some reason, Natalie did not appear on this special, even though it was her song (Grown Up Christmas List) that was released as the single from this CD in 1993.

She sang the song with David Foster on another special a couple of years later. Other folks have already posted that video here (do a quick search).
