  • your hair is AmaZING!!! im inspired...

  • @KaylaTree Glad it worked for you too.. I ahve seen more succes in just a month, Ive used it than 2months using other products which claim to do the same thing.. I dont know if its the fact that this is an all natural hair loss treatment or not but all I do now is that it truly works..:)) anyway, you got the name of the site wrong.. It should be HairLoss101. net..:))

  • AT 6:08 i would really like to know what kind of braiding hair you used please and thank you

  • love the video and love the hair!!

  • Legal gostei muito desse depoimento...

  • i love this video.. so detailed and inspiring.. thanks for making it..

  • Ok so u never had a twa

  • hi i have a question, how would i go about growing my hair?

its corse thick hair..and it isnt that long..so how would i go about growing it?

if you can help i appreciate it.

  • i want to go natural but dont want to cut my hair

  • Hello Soror! I really enjoyed this video and you really encouraged me. I am 13 months without a perm 8 months since my big chop and I'm getting bored with the same twa. It has grown substantially but it seems to be at a standstill. I look forward to more videos. Thanks again.

  • This video was very inspiring and informative; I'll definitely be looking to view mire videos with this series.

  • Lots of growth!!! I am natural now but my hair is kind of fine..I was trying to thicken it up by going natural..It helped a little..Do you have any suggestion on how I can thicken it up..not for looks but for real thickness..I have been natural now for almost 2 years but did the BC about a year ago but went to a shop to get my ends trimmed off and she cut my hair shorter than what I initially started off at.. So its still knd of short and the shrinkage dont help:(

  • omg your an "AKA" LOVE IT!!!!

  • Hello I've noticed your two strands twists tutorial (braids) has disappear... It is possible that you put it back?

    Thank you in advance!!

  • need some advice should i texturized my hair it is 2 inch in length and i am going all natural

  • i just cut my hair off and it is about 2 inch long and i was wondering , is it wise to texturizer my hair?

and i am wondering if it will damage my hair

  • @bagokim1 a texturizer has the same ingredients as a relaxer and still breaks the protein bonds in the hair. If you texturize you will not be considered natural because it is a chemical process. It is a possibility that you will experience so damage from a texturizer, just think back to when you were relaxed (if you ever were) and if it caused damage using the same chemical.

  • @gforceroy1 ok i'm going to stick yo natural

  • @gforceroy1 ok i'm going to stick yo natural thanks

  • WOW excellent growth

  • The best 2 strand kinky twist are the best!!! It doesn"t look like you added hair. I saw your tutorial on them a few months back.....I'm considering the BC just to have wear that style. : - )

  • Beautiful Twist. I believe what's key is u doing ur own hair. I've tried protective styles & any shop I go to like for the twist with extensions my hair breaks off I can't figure it out. Look forward to future videos.

  • what do you suggest for dealing with dry scalp? I used to use sulfur 8 but since going natural I do not want to use that anymore. Thanks.

  • beautiful video :)

  • What type/brand of hair did you use after you BC to complete your twist with extensions?

  • Girl, those 2 strand twists were banging from the start! I'm excited about this series because I've always wanted to know how you grew your hair so fast, and it remained so healthy. *You know I'm loving all the AKA shirts in this video. :)

  • do you ever straigten your hair now that it is natural? i mean like with a flat iron or blowdry straight?

  • I LOOOOOVEEEE YO HAIR!! WHAT IS YOUR EXACT REGIMENN!!

  • With your two strand twists, did you add hair or was that all yours? Also, if you used additional hair, what type did you use. I am at the big chop stage. I have cut the permed ends off of the back and will do the top and front when I take out my weave in a month. I have been post perm about a year now. Love your hair and your vids. Keep it up my sister!

  • you're beautiful and you're hair is gorgeous. I hope my natural hair can grow as long as yours has!

  • gooorgeous~!

  • I loooooove your hair! What type of extension hair did you use for the 2 strand twists after your BC? I'm 9 months post and due (baby #4) in December and this style would be perfect for me at this point since I won't be BCing for a loooong time (postpartum shedding is horrible for me so I need a lil bit to do a comb over LOL!)

  • You're so beautiful! I'm interested to know how you trim your hair. I've recently transitioned to natural and I do my own hair too but I'm not sure how to and how often to trim my hair to keep it healthy. Any advice would be great.

  • if there was a love it button, would have clicked it. great vid and beautiful hair.

  • @mpenny226 aww that was a cute comment :)

  • nice video..The type of hair you have you really didnt need a perm anyway.

I am natural also. It is funny how we were condition and told to always get a Perm.

Istead of caring for our natural hair...Take Care & Be Blessed!

  • This is so encouraging and I can't wait for my natural hair to get the length that I want! I look forward to learning so much from you.

  • You're my hair idol!!!! Can't wait until I get more length!

  • Lol @ 'Puffs on swole'!!

  • I LOVE the 2-string twist style

  • yyeesss i just love u when u remind people that "Black hair does grow" because people like to get it all kinds of twisted that in order for ur hair to grows it has to people permed but for me my hair grew less when it was permed i mean it grew dont get me wrong but it was not thick at all. anywhos thanks for sharing cant wait for more vids

  • Thank you for sharing!

  • What is your trimming routine? Sorry if this has been answered previously.

  • nice!

  • I love those two-strand twist. Please do a video on those!

  • your hair looks great, i needed to see this because i have been relaxer free for 1 year and i wonder if my hair will grow longer... seems like its taking so long!

  • Love how you showed the progressions between the stages. Especially how in the beginning you used extensions to do your twists and now you don't even need to use additional hair anymore. Beautiful. . .vid, Nina!!!

  • hi! i cant wait for you to continue this series, im really looking forward to you talking about protective styles (like ur twists) and how to care for it properly while they are in. right now im in yarn braids and im not sure when to spray it or oil it because everyday leads to build up

  • you never changed..what a beautiful child!! and hair

  • I'm very impressed and encouraged. I need to put myself through a boot camp

  • wow your twists are so beautful, Do you have a twisting tut?

  • Awesome. How often to apply heat to your hair of any sort? I've been transitioning for over a year now and heat seems to be my weakness so I've been trying to use it less and less. My goal is to be totally heat-free by next year.

  • Your hair is beautiful! I decided to transition 1 month ago....thanks for the videos and I look forward to seeing more. Be blessed.

  • This video is totally making me want to take my braids out and say hello to my natural hair. Had them in since march.

(Not at one time! Re braided them a section at a time.)

  • Wow. I have dreads but every time I see your videos I get inspired to keep my weight off & keep my locs as healthy as possible.

    Thank you Ms. Ellis-Hervy :]

    --YGB

  • Look forward to the series. Thanks for the vid. Lovin' your hair.

  • Like the video a lot. What products did you use when doing your two strand twist and show towards the end of the video, and did you use extensions? Great information keep the videos coming.

  • You was such a BEAUTIFUL baby!! N grew up to be a beautiful woman. I can wait for my natrual hair to be as long and pretty as yours!!! ^^)

  • I have been natural for 4 months and I love it.

  • yesss natural hair boot camp is what i need lol

  • This video journey is perfect! Your hair is amazing and beautiful. My sister just decided to become natural and she has a thick head of hair. I used to break combs in her head when I did hair as a teen......we didn't know about water moisture back then. This is the perfect video to show her how and why this journey is so important. It will inspire!

  • what kind of hair did you use for "your famous two strand twists"?

  • That's that Diana ROSS hair. I feel anxious to take out my locs for some reason. But I won't but when I do (far into the future) your hair boot camp is what I'm going to be Looking at.

  • Amazing!!!! Yes your hair has come a long way and achieved great lengths, its exciting to see and reflect on my own growth as well because it is steadily growing. Thanks for sharing queen

  • Great video!!

  • ahh, what an adorable baby you were. enjoyed your hair journey!

  • Very inspirational. I'm in the 26th month and I'm beginning to think I'm growing tired of my hair. Seeing your progress and styles helps uplift my spirits a little (:

  • Thank you for sharing your journey. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the videos. Espcially to see how you maintained your 2 strand twists etc.

  • You are so beautiful! Thank you for sharing your stages it is helpful to see how you maintained your hair throughout your hair journey...your hair is gorgeous!!

  • i love ur videos,i live in montreal and i'm transitioning.

i'm up to 3 months, when i feel down i just watch ur blog.

  • Very inspirational!! I'm so excited to see the rest of the series and what the future holds for my own natural hair journey.

  • Lovely hair ma'am

  • wow u r such an inspiration in every way! Thanx 4 sharing and making a difference.

  • Hello Beautiful Curlfriend. I love this video and I am looking forward to the rest of the boot camp. It is inspiring and I asked my daughter to join in as well. Blessings to you.

  • your videos, are what inspired me to go natural . Im 1 year relaxer free and will be 1yr completly natural in dec..i luv my hair so far.. i hope my hair will thrive in leaps and bounds like yours. my sides are still kinda thin from the relaxer abuse, but i figured it would take at least 2 yrs to get back to normal after all the damage i did to them, . thanks for the videos.

  • I appreciate this video, you are so informative and I wish you had your own show. As a black woman I like to get advice from someone I can relate to. You have so much knowlede coming from every aspect, so much that you can relate to many of women of color. From weight loss, natural hair, fashion, education, and just being a black woman in today's society. Thank you...much love and respect, keep up the awesome work!!!

  • Cant wait until my hair gets that long.. ive been taking care of my hair also wearing protective styles i hardly wear my hair its always braided.. so thats how its growing alot.. i only wear it when i work out..

  • I have been natural for over 2 years and still mine havent grown. Maybe ill try to do more styles to improve this

  • you have never staightened ur hair after u were completely natural, like now?? how often do u clip your ends? i currently have been transitioning for aalmost 13 months and i still havent really reached the length ive been hoping for... i was thinking about gettin sengealese twists for the winter as a protective style and to help me transition, especially becuz i start my freshmen year of college in jan. 2010... do you think this will be good? cant wait to see more videos for your hair bootcamp!!!

  • Great video!

  • damn ! i neva actually noticed the amount of shrinkage you have lolz

  • Hi there! You know, I read that your body is a well oiled machine, and if you are not healthy, the hair is the first to suffer, where it would not get the nutrients it needs to grow. You clearly were in your healthiest of stages as your hair is flowing out of your head so wonderfully. I'm working on my health everyday, and I am noticing too that I can get a half-inch a month if I continue with my exercise. You are an inspiration to us. Keep those vids coming, B. Peace...

  • Great video, I can't wait for you to start delving more into your growth techniques, etc.. Stay blessed!

  • I see that your wearing a lot of AKA nalia' in this video. Do you think that you could to a series on greeklife and advice for those wanting to go greek? Also could you do a series on education, seeing as how you've come so far in yours. Thanks.

  • Your hair is beautiful!!! VERY NICE! :0)

  • omg your hair and outfit @14:35 was down right gorgeous! thank you so much for shearing your journey, you really encourage me to start documenting my hair journey more. it does make a difference.

  • love it !!!! hun

    have a wonderful wkend!

  • Love it and thank you for the inspiration

  • your hair is beautiful keep doing you God bless.

  • Hey Lady! I just love your two-strand twist with the hair extensions. You make them so neat - I mean, your finished product looks like you went to a salon and had them done! Thanks for your videos. They are always such an inspiration!!

  • This is a great video! I don't know if you already said that but I just want to know how you keep your hair moisturized because I still got a lot of problem about it! :-(

  • beautiful, love the pics!!

  • You and your hair! Child! I'm speechless!

Looking forward to the other videos!

    Thanks for the pointers!!!

  • Go head girl; 'on swole' LOL. Rock it!

  • Great video!! I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for sharing.

  • What a drop dead gorgeous woman you are! Love the hair stages. Ain't nothin' wrong with saying it's hard to manage or has been. Trust me, mine is EXTRA thick and takes HOURS on end to deal with. Yet, I love it still , it's beautiful but you gotta put in some work when you are natural.

  • I was really REALLY young when my mother decided my hair was getting hard to manage and got my hair relaxed-5 YEARS OLD! I don't blame her for it, but now at 23 and natural for 2 years, I appreciate my hair a lot more. It gave me a sense of self-who I was as a person...these are not just hair journeys, but also SELF journeys...I gained SO MUCH insight into who I was and what I was able to accomplish just by growing my hair out naturally! LOVE the video! Shared it with two of my natural friends

  • AAWWW. loved this video.... Awesome results and every shot was on point.. Great, great job!!!

  • I count my natural anniversary the same way you do as I feel that is actually when you have become completely natural. Most seem to count from the day they stop perming......Love your journey and the fact that you shared it with us.

  • Wonderful video!!!

    Thanks for sharing!!! Very inspirational.

  • Loved this my two lil girls are natural and sometimes i want to relax them just to make it easier on me lol but watching you and others on here have changed my mind i let my daughters watch your channel and they just love you now when i do a bun in their hair they dont care what nobody has to say they are like "ms nina does hers like this and she is pretty and so am i" lol so i thank you oh and i did some twist in my girls hair yesterday and honey their cousins that r relaxed said i want those

  • truthfully, I can understand where you're coming from because I believed that my hair was hard to manage and it was too weak for a perm, so I usually put on weaves. Thanks to youtube, in all honesty my hair natural is so much easier to deal with for me then my perm was! All I do is wash deep condition and use a leave in, next day twist my hair. My hair has been growing and it's so soft and manageable it's ridiculous.

  • TOO much cutness @ 1:35!!! :-)

  • Thank you 4 sharing your journey. I love to watch all your video they are very informative and I am 2 months in with my big chop and looking forward to your boot camp 4 hair.

  • You are so pretty no matter when you were heavy or your size now you stayed pretty. Thank you for the pictures i really enjoyed these.

  • I'm so sorry cause i know 700 people have asked but I have to know (cause i don't know a thing about doin' hair. lol) what kind of hair do you use for you two strand twists, what kind of texture do you use? Gimme the low down. lol

  • @azianoel00 she says it in her video on the tutorial for them.

  • @KCphantasmagoric Thanks a bunch! Will look.

  • This is great and very inspirational. Especially for those who feel like giving up at times. Beautiful.

  • Question when you did your two strand twist when you curled the ends can you tell me how you did that??

  • your hair is beautiful, it grew out real nice and quickly.

  • Ms.beautifulbrwnbabydol, u are very pretty, even when you were relaxed. but I really liked this video and hope to see how you have been able to maintain and grow your hair so long. Also, how your able to still get it into a nice bun. lol

  • thanks for sharing Nina!!

  • Ahh! I love you! People honestly don't believe that black hair doesn't grow. I was about the same hair length as you are currently now but slightly longer. I've been getting a lot of mixed reviews about my hair because they honestly think it took years and years to get my length. So, I'm actually tempted to chop my hair off a few inches (maybe about 10-12) and use myself as an example. I grew my hair out once, I can do it again. ^^

  • LOVE THIS! Great hair story!!! Thx 4 continued inspiration!

  • wow this was a long video but a great video:-) right now i just made it to 1 year being fully natural and i am excited:-) cant wait for to see many more years to come:-) love your hair:-)

  • Amen, of course I thumbs up'd it :o) very inspiring and a definite favourite - thanks for posting. Look forward to the coming videos of "how" ;o)

  • I found this to be very inspirational. Thank you for allowing us to take part in your hair journey.

  • You are on it with the videos. I am so glad to see you back!

  • My hair was so hard to manage when I was younger. I would cry when my mum would was and comb it. I can't stand people who say 'oh, you mustn't say your hair is 'hard to manage' Why not? Damn who feels it knows it. My hair is natural now and I love it more than I did when I was little.

  • You're hair is lovely!

    Keep it up girl!

  • Love ur accent. Right thur :-). Great video & I get what you mean by hard to manage...I am so anti PC..thick hair of any type is definitely more challenging to manage than thinner hair. So I don't think that you meant that your nat. hair was any harder to manage than any hair type..it was and is just thick and definitely requires more patience to handle. We need to lighten up about the hair thing. At the end of the day..it is just hair..nappy & happy. kinky & happy..wavy..whatev. Kudos.

  • this was a great video...VERY inspiring!!!

  • Very nice video !!! incredable hair growth !!

    -SoNaturallyHair

  • wow...this is beautiful, Nina! Your hair is veri preeeeettttyyyy!!! :)

  • nice..thx for sharing..you r very talented you got skillz..r u a 4b hair type...ur texture is very wavy.....beautiful.
