I have run both iPhone and currently own an Android 2.1 device. I support Google in creating a great OS and creating healthy competition for Apple as I am a fan of both products....

I just REALLY wish that the slides and graphics they made for this Keynote didn't look like a 5 year old made them, in addition to me disliking how they're continuously bashing Apple, while using Apple products (like the MacBook running Chrome to demo). Seems a bit hypocritical...

I'm afraid to say that most people that post on these videos are biased. Sadly, some companies ^ seek to encourage this type of behaviour as it breeds the ignorant and ardent fanboys. Claims that one device is 'better' that the other is purely subjective. Working for a communications company I have had the opportunity to experience the four major mobile platforms. And for me, user experience is fundamental. In that respect I feel that iOS4 currently has the edge..

I wonder if they will allow others to send Android Intents to your phone. I often get calls from friends who are out and about and want directions or some other information. It would be handy if I could send it to their phone. Obviously if the intent is sent from another user it would need to be accepted because they may not want an interesting article popping up when they are using navigation.

What you are trying to say is it's not real innovation unless it is completely new (but I think if you examine the "new" ideas you will find they are all built on old ones).

Cloud computing is not 1984, because it is based on the web, and by its nature, the web is open (one of the main reasons for its success). I get you are trying to allude to the privacy issue, but I think the overall access to information provided by the web greatly outweighs that regard.

So hold on a second, what if i have to send multiple things from my computer to a device via "cloud". As far as i understand, it can only handle 1 thing. So 2 locations, or 2 web pages wont work. That's lame.. i'd rather have that info as an event, or some sort of a note, and have track of all the ones i've sent to my phone before.

@bathellfire each time you send a location/webpage/etc you'll trigger an intent. an intent for a webpage will open a new tab on the browser (up to 16 tabs, I think) and the google maps navigation feature will probably load each intent with driving directions as a layer in the maps application... so, just fire all of them to the device and with a few touches you would be able to jump from one to the other
