Agreed. I had the Pypes single exhaust and at the higher RPM's it sounds ricey. I ditched it and went with the FRPP dual exhaust kit for the V6 w/JBA headers.

I don't know where you're racing and who you're racing, but it's certainly no one worth the cost of their car if they're not walking away from a base Mustang in a GT in a race. Unless you're buying a supercharger for that V6, you are not keeping up with me. Other than that, the V6 does sound surprisingly good for a V6.

Okay, I'll bite. Stock for stock you're running at a 90 flywheel horsepower deficit, and an 80 ft. lbs. of torque deficit. Do you really expect anyone to believe that someone who names themself bmxnerd"69" is making a valid statement that their high performance exhaust will allow them to keep up with a GT? I'll call bullshit on 33mpg too seeing as the EPA got 28 in 2007 and 26 in 2008 with the new testing method. Also, you posted twice, and give off the sense that your age is less than 18.

mpg is determined by the way you drive. basicly 28mpg is an average. i've even heard of guys pulling 28-30 mpg in GT's. and at the wheels a v6 mustang (05+) is around 170hp. and with an axhaust it can keep up or maybe beat an AUTOMATIC GT with a good driver...the 04 and previous ofcourse. thats saying the GT is still stock

Wrong on almost all levels. The EPA gas mileage for a v6 mustang is 15 city, 22 highway, with an average of 18. I personally get 20 average on mine. An exhaust adds maybe 5-10 horsepower. The v6 stock comes with 210hp and the GT stock comes with 300hp, so there is no way adding an exhaust can beef it up to a GT level.

The 04 and previous model gt's have a 0-60 time of 6.1 seconds, the newer v6's have a 0-60 time of 6.9 seconds. Again, even adding an exhaust is not going to make it keep up, even with an older model GT.

i know what im saying because i have DONE it...you have no clue what you're talking about anyway. 05+ mustang v6 is rated at 210hp at the flywheel. at the WHEELS its around 170hp. Now i said exhaust with a good driver could keep up with a stock auto gt 04 and previous. im sorry but its true, also you should know with a pony package the v6 has better tires. not the shitty ones the base model has which they used for those 0-60 times.

You are ALMOST correct. I'm not calling you a lier, I'm sure you've beaten 04 and older GT's with just an exhaust, but it's most likely because the GT couldn't drive. Most 05+ V6's will be quicker than the 04 and older GT's with simply a good tune (SCT XCALII), an air intake, and an exhaust setup. And yes, you are correct, the 05+v6 has around 170-180rwhp. 210hp is DEFINITELY to the flywheel.

Im starting to see a lot of turbo v6 making 400+ at the wheels at AZ dyno chip....and i got destroyed by a girl in her 05 v6 with a turbo..it was embarassing

That's a V6, why go dual? I'm a mustang owner myself, but I'm not going to spend the 800 bucks+ labor to go dual (if you can do it yourself, more power to you) but on a v6, it's just totally not worth it (I drive a V6, with a Ravin muffler to give it more of a rumble, so it's not quiet)

The V6 is a pretty badass engine. Mine will stay right with GTs through 3rd and 4th gear. I've surprised a lot of GT owners with the Pypes setup. They think its a GT. They like pulling hard from a roll at 50. Now a CAI and tune to get rid of some of the throttle lag off the line.

Because its a 60 degree V6 which has an even firing pattern (not talking about firing order) they put in for 2005 instead of the 90 degree V6 of the previous years. Most American V6s are 90 deg which gives it an uneven firing pattern making it sound like shit. (Grand National, GMC Syclone...etc)

these have gotten a lot quieter and the drone has almost completely dissapated with the help of having my shaker volume up. I dont even notice popping...that probably happened because the vid was of a cold start.
