Anthony...I just came upon your salsa instructions. I never did salsa & my body does not move like yours. However, I would like to try some of your instructions to see if I really like & can do the salsa .....I have I tunes & would appreciate if you gave me the name of this song & artist. & possibly 2 other dance songs.. i know you would know what songs would be good to get started dancing . thank you for your anticipated assistance.......A
Thanks for all your videos. Are you no longer dancing with your partner in this one, Melanie? Honestly, when you dance with Julie you guys look like you're dancing east coast swing instead of salsa. Melanie's got the latin groove.
You guys are great .You have made it real easy for me to learn something i have allways wanted to do.But i have a question.I see older folks like my parents or even my grandparents dancing salsa in a diffrent manner.Have you guys ever seen this ? You can see what i am referring to here in this video.Focus in on the older couple in the upper right hand coner of the dance square .He is wearing blue shorts, hers are green.
This couple knows what they're doing. Here's another example of true salsa. Specially Melanie, she has the real salsa moves because she "marks on the steps."
i LOVE every single one of these videos.... i have a request, if possible....could you do a video on how to lead a female because that's my biggest issue. is i'm unsure how to lead
Anthony, I think that you made a little mistake here in this video. I don't know if any or yourself noticed it. On the second routine in the opening video you use your right arm to get out of the hold, but when you explain the routine you used the left one. Personally, I like the one that you use in the opening. And by the way, I grew up in the Island a learn to dance here. But keep up your tremendous job in these videos they are pretty good. Los videos están cabrones...
@RobertoAround - I would agree with this statement, the opening one looks a bit funkier than the one you explain later. But hey, that's ok, still love your work as always :)
i was born in bogota and had to learn in baltimore MD lol. But its good all you latin guys learning..thats why women love the latin men cus we can dance!! Don't disappoint your GFs. Learn some salsa its not too hard.
Very nice. I am one of those unlucky Ricans whos parents didn't dance and now I am taking lessons to learn. You guys make it look easy and you teach it well. Thanxs
Thank lots apersaud your teaching technics are very good and i get alot out of them. By the way are you from el paso? just wondering because on your vids on the bottom, some adds appear promoting directions to clubs in el paso and things of the sort.
I love your lessons apersaud thanks. I find it helps to go thru each step slowly before speeding up the process, the rest is practice, practice, practice. If all else fails then try line dancing!!!
I want to learn. but it' so fucking hard. How it's suposed a random lady I met would know what to do???? Even if I'm a good dancer like you. I don't get it. It's so fucking hard.
A lot of Salsa isn't choreographed. Especially out when you are dancing socially. In basics guys are taught to lead just as ladies are taught to follow.
Really good teaching video. It is the way you have formatted the lessons around giving a lot of different moves coming out of a single position. Most teaching videos just show long choreography sequences. I think you have hit on something.
You do the one with the copa differently in the demo and in the explanation! Both ways look good, but I prefer the one in the demo, though it looks a bit more difficult to lead.
Your videos are nice and all, but I have a hard time learning those moves because you dont put emphasis on the footwork. It's like you're freestyling... which is ok, but not to show a move, in my opinion.
I must have watched this clip 30 times :) but I got it now and it's really cool.

Melanie should do a video on 'Hip Swagger', just on how to get the body moving the way she does.
