@pamaylanana This is the order. Guitar to 1st amplifier, this amp is connected to the small speaker, the small speaker has the spring running to the mic, the mic is connected to the combo amp. The whole system is very incomplete and unrefined. You can't control the reverb to dry signal ratio, and there are no tone controls or anything. Just straight reverb. Hope this helped.
I am trying to make one of these spring reverb units. Do you think this set up will be possible?: Microphone or guitar plugged into an amp input, speaker plugged into the same amp's headphone socket, spring attached to speaker going to a contact mic, contact mic going into a four track(with inbuilt preamp). The thing I'm not sure about is if the speaker will work plugged into the headphone socket or whether it needs a proper output(my amp has no output). What do you think?
@jawdust3 Yah it really depends on how much power is coming out of the headphone jack, which is usually not a lot. It probably won't be enough. but you could always try.
another thing, do you think that instead of having the microphone as the output, have guitar pickups? would it pickup better or worse? i received a loaded crappy silvertone pickguard that im looking to use in a project. what do you think?
@MrCottagecheese69 first question/statement, exactly right. Second group. I think thats a great idea. I have no Idea how it would sound, but id love to try. You'll have to suspend the spring over the pickup. I dont know if it would work, but its worth trying! Thanks for the comment! I think ill try it out myself!
hey! there's something i dont get completely
i've heard that the input side is at the speaker, and out to the piezo
but you connected the amplifier at the speaker.... could you explain me, please?

@namsseff what is combo amp?

@namsseff oh yes, very clear, but what is a combo amp? just another amplifier?
pamaylanana 4 months ago
@pamaylanana A combo amp is just an amp that includes a speaker. The univox that I'm using is a combo amp.

this is a pretty brilliant tone, I might have to make me one of these.

hey nice sound. So does the guitar come out of the speaker that is attached to the spring, then the microphone is sent out into the amp?
