I made my own for less than 50 bucks and its very, very pretty. Of course, although the skirt and bra are Egyptian by design, they are more the Gothic style and use dark colours and different kinds of fabric. still, it's just as lovely as this one and as fancy. the bonus here is that with the money I save making it myself, i can afford to make several outfits .

While I think the price is ridiculous(I got my costume at Party City for $45 and added on with simple by-the yard-cut material from a Hobby Lobby craft store for just a few dollars more) you get pretty much what you pay for.Hers may last a lifetime and be passed down the generations, but it is possible to go cheap for a temporary thing.

As I know, that good belly dance costume can be cost not less then 800 dollars, and it`s normal, because there is a handmade work there... and it takes a lot of time.

Watch some videos of actual professional dancers and you will see why so many dancers are upset that this woman calls herself a "professional" dancer, and outraged to see her trying to teach. There is much more to belly dance than costuming.

egyptian style costumes do not show bare stomach, there is always something covering the stomach, so if this were a real egyptian costume there would be a thin skin-toned material covering the stomach!

Um...no...that's beledi , or baladi style. Modern Egyptian style is almost like cabaret. Baladi style covers the stomach in a full dress. And most American dancers in the Egyptian style leave out the body stocking unless they are dancing for an arabic audience.
