im planning to get a i7 core , so ill need a new asus board for that .

the board in this video looks very good to me.

I've had nothing but good results using Asus mobos but unfortunately you've priced your products beyond what I think is reasonable and will have to go with another brand. (times are tough, I have to budget myself) It would be nice to see mobo mfg's focus a little less on how many pci-e slots they can cram on mobo and offer an affortable single slot pci-e for those not interested in Sli-ing.

companies are now making overclocking like a serious need. dont forget it will shorten the life of your componments, why didn't they overclock them themselves in first place? my best advice is buy what you can afford and avoid overlclocking no matter what you do its never fun.

Don't listen to this comment. Overclocking is a great way to get more performace per dollar out of your computer. As long as you're smart and don't push your components too hard, they'll be fine.

lol overclocking is good...but comes w/ risks....well firstly if definatrely shortens your components life but it will give u a hell of a lot more bang for the buck...lets say u buy a i7 920 and overclock it to 3.7? that will perform better than the stock i7 940 so u just haved urself about $250

The better your cooling, the longer the life of your components. It has nothing to do with overclocking, it has to do with heat.

The only way it would shorten the life of your parts is if you ramped up the voltage WAY to high or didn't have good cooling ( which you should always have if your overclocking) but even then your CPU would back itself off or even shut down before any damage was done.

Look overclocking online and fallow people's advice and your parts will last forever.

Dude, ASUS makes great motherboards and I never had problems with them. As technology is geting more advanced and new shit hit's the market I preffer to stay up-to-date and buy new stuff... Don't get me wrong, there are many great manufaturers like GIGABYTE, ASRock, DFI, EVGA, XFX... etc. But my personal choice is ASUS for now. And ability of X58 chipset to support both SLI and CFX
