Turkey name comes from Trojans. Many people think that Trojans dont exist now. But actually Turkish(Turcus) and Turkey(Turcia) names are Trojan names. And modern Turkish people have also their heritage genetically and culturally.In many european sources Trojans and even Byzantine empire was names 'Turcus' by Europeans.And also Fatih Sultan Mehmed was named 'Trojan Prince' by Vatikan.But after they converted to islam unfortunately they forgot their roots.
