Great stuff and great channel for aspiring jazzers. Been looking for material of use on functional analysis stuff for some time now! Besides this I've found the approach built into the latest version of the free Impro-Visor software of jazz educator Bob Kelly (analyses changes identifying Key Centers + "Lego Brick" sequences).

Please could you say some words about the IV | bVIII7 | I - movement in the B-section. I did not understand the logic there.

@maganz Thank you. I think you mean IV | bVII7 | I . That's DbMaj7 Gb7 and AbMaj7. The Gb7 is not diatonic to the key of Ab. bVII appears in a lot of jazz tunes.
