Hey guys, I'm struggling with putting variety into my pvp game. I can always just go for 3 gate robo into immortal into collossus, but are there any other builds I can do? I tried blink stalker, but I keep losing in straight up fights. Any help would be much appreciated.

@JMA698 ive seen phoenix opening with some succes, though they require kinda kickass micro. you can try and put variaty in your play, by for example getting a warp prism, or early expending etc.

if you are really looking for a build i cant really help you since i dont play protoss but what im trying to say that your build order is not your only variable, you can get certain stuff faster, slower or even other stuff from say your robos and warpgates.

@haywire185 that was only true for age 2. for example with age 3 they had the Europeans the native americans and the asians, and there were at least 3 of each. so thatd be like having 3 different of each terran protoss and zerg to play who each had unique units. much more diverse gameplay. i love SC2 but the lack of more than 3 races in the sequel really irritated me.

I would "fix" some PvP cheese issues and also add a new dimension to PvP by adding "Suppression Field" to the game. Every Pylon would have it by default, it would be bigger than normal pylon field (2 times bigger sounds like a nice starting point, could have some balance) and it would say: "Enemy Protoss can't warp in units in the presence of the suppression field."

Players would cover more ground with it give advantage to defending Protoss.

Optionally, Warp prism could be immune to the effect.

@jbone10001 well, if you have 5 enemy pylons in your base, you deserve to lose, you would also lose if you would have Artosis-pylon placement, but in normal close-game, there is no way that a guy could prevent warp ins in your base while you could easily prevent his warp-ins in your base
