  • Anonymous Brasil.

  • She said i always wanted to learn tango but michael didn't want. But she is dancing very good, i tried to learn tango once but it's not easy as it looks like.

  • Me encanta!!!

  • Wunder-bar

  • Maravilloso :D

  • best acter of all time.

  • I don't understand how this video has 14 Million views. It's a great video, but still...

  • @jomai2040 i watch it 4 times a day

  • I love how people are criticizing how well he does the tango. Come on! He's playing a blind man for Christ's sake.

  • @realtor, you miss the thing man. Al Pacino plays a blind man in this film. Don't compare this with real Argentinian dancing. Watch the film, enjoy and don't come up with things that have nothing to do with the film!

  • One of my favorites :)

  • LIKE!!!<3

  • brilliant actor

  • he is the best

  • Not bad for someone playing a blindman...I never found one with vision that could carry me on a dance floor like this guy...The best however is Banderas!

  • So good

  • Thats how real men dance.... Respect!

  • Gabrielle Anwar is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen...and she looks particularly sensual yet adorable in this film!

  • Tango down.

  • wuuuundervoll, DÄ Film muässi ha ! :-)

  • Very nice description! You answered everything i wanted to ask! Grats

  • I dont know so much about tango but, music is great. By the way, do not forget that , Al Pacino trying to refelct the motion, emotion of a BLIND man. Thats why he won the OSCAR .

  • What can I say, best of the best

  • genial actor !!

  • lindo!! lindo!!! perfeito!!!!

  • badly written & badly filmed flat remake ripping off from original ITALIAN masterpiece

starring as main actor Vittorio Gassman whose memorable interpretation overwhelms the just good one by Al Pacino .....

And that's the holy truth , just watch the original and if you have enough culture and good taste you will agree with no doubt !!

Once more the americans copying from Italian cinema butchering Italian masterpieces with their mediocrity .....

US trash , waste of time

  • @Trulyloyale That seems harsh. I found the scene, and the film, to be quite moving. Still, you do make a good point about Hollywood stealing ideas and watering them down. I didn't know this was a remake. What's the name of the original so I can watch it? Thanks.. . . and ciao baby.

  • @labowu The title of the original is " Profumo di donna " of which " Scent of a woman "

is the translation in English , if you can find a subtitled version in English .

    See you

  • Bucketlist... It's on the bucketlist...

  • Awesome movie indeed, but I don't know why but North Americans (at least what they show in all their Hollywood movies like this one, "Shall We Dance?", "Take the Lead", etc.) doesn't know how to dance Tango. I mean, THAT'S NOT AT ALL HOW YOU DANCE IT. Argentine tango steps are much more loose, improvised and therefore, exciting.

I live in Buenos Aires and I go almost every weekend to San Telmo and see genuine Tango dancers, and their way to dance it is completely different than this.

  • @realnoir13 What do you expect, the colonel is suppose to be blind. Its the beauty of his perseverance in the movie.

  • @hokilicetom11 If you read carefully what I have wrote, the caracters of the other movies I've named dance just like this, and they are not suppoused to be blind...

  • @realnoir13

Ok, they are not professionals, but he is doing it fairly good! And she has never danced before. Hopefully you can lead better a beginner! And last, but not least: he is BLIND!

  • @FeugatiPrigipessa As I told to other person who replied me with the exact same argument: The other movies that I have named have characters that personalize professional dancers that are not blind at all, and still, they dance tango pretty wrong.

  • @realnoir13 You've answered your own question; Americans are not Argentinians. Of course the interpretation of the dance steps is going to be different. Actors are often not professional dancers but learn enough for the scene they are performing. The scene fit the mood of the movie.. that's all.

  • @realnoir13 Settle down... he's an old man that probably learned how to tango from some gringo while doing his tours in Panama.

  • @realnoir13 We know we dance different. Al Pacino is Italian not Spanish. We don't mimic dances verbatim. Or anything else for that matter. We "Americanize" everything. Some for the good, and some not so good. All a matter of opinion really. Take Santa Claus for example. Jolly fat guy in a red suit. Wasn't copied anywhere near the original story of Old Saint Nick. It was "Americanized" like so many other things. It's up to the original creators to pass their tradition's down to their people.

  • @UniqueOne36 That's the problem, mate. You tend to overwhelmingly Amreicanize other's people culture, making something completely different and labeling it with the same name of the original. It's somehow a hurtful behavior to other people's identity, you know...

  • @realnoir13 Yea, but Argentine tango is much harder to do - as it is improvised and pretty showy. Probably why the director decided to go with this version. (They look pretty mechanical.)

  • Well, you should learn your history. Don't get me wrong, I find argentinian tango uncomparably better, but tango was not invented in argentinia, nor was it anylike like it is being danced there. The way it was danced originally was by the upper class and was rather stiff and formal and leans closer to this way of dancing than to the argentinian way. It is only there that this dance came to the street where it was influenced and gained the loose ways of your country's beautiful ways :-)

  • @Fanggoestube You have no idea how horribly wrong you are. Tango was born among the poorest spheres of the Buenos Aires society (specially in the conventillos and fondas) in wich it was mostly danced between men it (there weren't too many women). Tango was always despiced by the upper classes. It was not until late 1920's, beginning of 1930 that the French people adopted it that the high classes of the society started to dance it.

I'm sorry, but you are way too wrong.

  • @realnoir13 You are right. The milonga is more improviment than choreography of the tango. My father used to play and dance it, here in your neiborhood, São Paulo.

  • @realnoir13 OK MAN BUT THE GUY DOES GOOD, PERO EL TIPO LA HIZO BIEN, NO LE PODES PEDIR MUCHO MAS, QUE CADA UNO LO BAILE COMO QUIERA, NO NOS CERREMOS, ABRAMOSLE EL TANGO AL MUNDO, Y QUE LO DISFRUTEN COMO QUIERAN.

  • @realnoir13 My dream is to come in Buenos Aires an to go to San Telmo. BUt any way, it's a movie just movie =) thats all...

  • @realnoir13 I'm sure you're right, but I don't think they are doing the Argentine tango. In the context of the film - he's blind and has never met the girl before, both good reasons that the dance would be restrained. Anyway the film is one of my all time top 10 and it's great to find this clip.

  • Al Pacino is pure genius. This scene rules.

  • The tango is so classic I love it.

  • Speechless. LOVE Al Pacino!

  • When asked how O'Donnell interpreted his character, Pacino answered: "I don't know, I was blind."

  • @AlexandruAsk: hehe you're right ! This actor is a fucking genius... We all love him !

  • This is why I don't understand dancing. There's a small string section comprised of very talented musicians performing a fucking awesome song written by a superb composer, and the crowd is watching and waiting to applaud two douche bags prancing around clumsily.

  • @Shoesarequiteuseful

hope you lad prance around a lot more skilfully

  • @DanyOneOfEleven 340 now

  • I think Pacino is naturally gifted he danced in all the Godfather films as well

you know its a shame that pacino didn't get an oscar for godfather or scarface you know but when you give him one oscar you have to give him an oscar for every single movie he made and than what?? no the gave him only one for scent of a woman to say hes movies are the best of acting but this here is the very best . that how i understand the thing with the oscars.

for him you need an special oscar and i mean SPECIAL oscar

  • Al pacino , god pless you !

  • one hell of a great actor

  • Adorable.

  • ohhhh Al pacino.

  • Al Pacino is breathtaking.

  • meh who cares what sorta tango it is, it makes you smile!

  • The greatest actor of all times!!!But...sorry guys, the thing that are dancing is not argentinian tango...

  • @MrKayaman68 Absolutely not !...and it's a pity because they could have hired a popular Tango dance instructor & the result would be quite different... If you have a first Actor like Al Pacino, you have the duty to offer a branded good to his public.

  • @lalia2358 Yeah...They are dancing something, some steps, but...this doesn't qualifies as Argentinian tango salon or anything else. But let's not be very strict about it, the man is blind after all :-)

  • @MrKayaman68 Ok, let's be more tolerant... but remember that it is said that blind people develop the other four senses & the balance, I guess... After all, dancing is a natural skill, I could never learn how to dance it.

  • @lalia2358 Some people are natural dancers, yes. You're selling yourself short. With enough work, almost anyone can reach an acceptable level. I have to work hard on my dancing. Is it great? No, I won't be giving up my day job.

  • @wehope20169 Thank you so much for encouraging me ! Are you an american who likes Tango Dance or an argentinian living in US ?

Wish you a Happy New Year...Greetings from Neuquén- Argentina,

  • @lalia2358 I'm an American living near Washington D.C. I started dancing ballroom about 5 years ago. Two years ago I tried Argentine Tango and absolutely loved it. It was hard at first because some experienced dancers wouldn't dance with me. After two years of classes, I'm happy with my progress and so are my partners. Still, much to learn and improve on. It's a never-ending journey. Planing a 2013 trip to Argentina. I always save a dance for the new dancers. Might find a good partner

  • Al Pacino....perfect:-)

  • I could die happy having a guy who loes me dancing this dance with me :) i can dream!

  • Al Pacino THE BEST ACTOR EVER!!!

  • What is this song name?

  • @DarkWarriorKing123 por una cabeza - carlos gardel, but this is Itzhak Perlman's version

  • @DarkWarriorKing123 “Por una cabeza”, from Carlos Gardel and Alfredo Le Pera
