  • that sounded uniquely superb, though it reminds me beginnings of many U2 songs

  • @wisesatyr72 i was thinkin the same thing... this is a time honored effect nonetheless

  • Sweet, my pop's has an ancient one of these that he's been working on for years...this is the first time I've seen/heard one in action

  • it whined at you like a little fuzzy haired dog when you turned it off...how cute :P

  • Don't ever sell that pedal man, they are hard to get your hands on, and be leave me all these new pedals just don't cut it compared to the EP, don't let that pup out your sight man

  • Hey, can a foot switch be installed on to this thing? I know some of them come with one. Can you tell?

  • bloody marvelous

  • Seriously, I'm not being facetious, tape Echoplex is one of my favourite sounds in the world bar-none.

  • i want to hear searing leads with that thing on with some fuzz.

    can you upload a video?

  • The digital tape simulation pedals sound good until you hear the real thing and then they sound crap. Very strange that...

  • @alanpitfall I just realized this by finding all these great videos. Now I want one :(

  • What chords do you play 2:30 to 2:40 - and the rest, is it U2?

  • You sound like Eli from stargate universe Lovely choice in gear btw

  • You sound like Eli from stargate universe

  • LOVELEY!

  • Y U M !!!

  • sounds nice, would you tape echo units are the best echos available?

  • Can someone please tell me what chord progression is played at 2:30 to 2:40?

  • @MyGuitarJams sounds like Tom Petty's "Free Falling"

  • DO these have tubes in them too?

  • @theShowStopper321 i believe they do

  • I'm drooling.

  • i can understand the vintage feel and people wanting to use echoplex's cause their famous idols used it, but i'm looked at prices and their effects, they are too expensive and don't do enough. i'm seen more for less, so whats the attraction to one of these?

  • @Anvilpants It is more of a tonal thing. Digital and Analog delays without tapes do not sound as warm or full as these. The tonal quality is what makes most people want them. I have to say some of the newer technology can have many more options for a fraction of the price, but they are missing the tone. I myself prefer things such as tape delay, but I can see how a 100 dollar pedal with more features can seem appealing.

  • @BleedBlsSdmf

    ahh i see. thanks!

thats what i thought, that its just like a more preferred thing to use.

  • @BleedBlsSdmf I just got an analog delay without tapes and it sounds pretty damn warm and organic for not being authentic tape delay. I know what u mean though

  • Sounds like U2. Nice and warm.

  • lol it sounds like a washing machine when you turn it on

  • soooo good. me want

  • beautiful tones.... simply awesome

  • To all the digital delay users, This is the real deal!

  • god damn... that shit is so good.

Nothing digital come anywhere near this sort of quality and deliciousness

  • how does it compare to a Roland Space Echo?

  • the way an echoplex SHOULD sound.

    nice work sir.

  • That's pretty gawdly tone you have thar.

  • i Really Liked That Very Last Effect

  • WOW! this is like the most ultimate delay/echo fx unit.

  • I have the exact same EP2

I use Input 2 mostly, use it just as a Pre amp. LesPaul, EP2, 59 Tweed Deluxe.

Also have a MXR 118 Delay..

The EP2 is the Daddy though.

  • Thats cool! I got one just like it, but I need to get it fixed.

  • wooooooooooooooooooooow...!!!!!

but still I'm going to get a vintage mxr analog delay...

  • Yeah he has one. Then a few other different brands of delays. These are awesome, but unrealistic for live use.

  • havent you ever heard of david gilmour? he would only use these live yeah its unrealistic if go up on stage and thrash around like some dumb fad band of today but if you set it at a safe spot like on top your amp your good to go, great sounds btw

  • now thats true delay people!

doesnt eric johnson have a few of these in his rig?

  • I love the way the attack smooths out after the third repeat or so turning everything dreamy.

  • man, this is beautiful. great playing as well.

  • awesome :O

  • wish these things weren't so expensive

  • I always keep coming back here ..

  • It has so lovely tone. If echoplex would be a multihead echo, it would be a real killer!

  • those are the shit my man!My old buddy has a few of those old echoplex's.man if it's adjusted close to slap back, with stereo oranges with 4 cabs.Oh what Heaven may sound like.thanks man.

  • This sounds fantastic. I love how when you switched the unit on it repeated notes from previous use, almost like phantom music, there's something quite spooky about that, but in a completely humbling manner.

  • I love the imperfection of these tape delays. Gotta love that tone. Gorgeous!

  • Very pleasant playing too, by the way!

  • fancy meeting you here.

    This thing rocks

  • haha, you're my stalker!

This is actually one of my all-time favorite video's on YouTube.

  • Wonderful sound. I have a Boss de 200 which is good, but the EP2 is so much smoother and bigger sounding. Great.

  • TUBES RULE! :D

  • wowo such a nice killler 60's sound

    like 13th floor elevator

  • Bad to the Bone!!! awesome!!!

  • beautiful sounds man

  • vintage

  • sounds great

  • Superb.....
