I'm glad I found this entry of Michael Parks. I have a picture of him sitting by my son in my daughter-in-law's photography class at a Ventura, CA, community college in about 1970-71. We always watched his Bronson series. OneKewpie.
Very memorable performances in those shows, Michael......sad the show didn't survive too long but for those of us who loved it's adventures and your great acting, singing, and motorcycle handling - it was a real treat. To me - the show had everything a good show could have.
The interviewer really blew it when Michael Parks says that he worked with Elvis and starts to say what he worked with him on and then is interrupted and now we are left to wonder what Parks worked with Elvis on.
The lead character & "plot" in this show was partly based on real life ex-Hell's Angel Birney Jarvis AKA "Preetam Bobo", as Hunter Thompson named him in his book on the Hells Angels. Birney was a Frisco Hells Angel from 1954-58. He was also a pro boxer, newspaperman & sailor. This show's script was written by Birney's newspaper friend-turned screenwriter, Denne Bart Petitclerc. Birney was technical advisor and assistant to the producer of the NBC and MGM production. Birney now lives in Alabama.
Michael, I wanted to marry you when I was 14, but you were 31 and would have looked silly at my 8th grade dance. But you're still my dream guy! Good to hear your voice after all these years.
