Thanks for getting back to me. Bridge is on it's way from Musician's Friend along with a new nut. When they arrive, I'll level the frets and I am sure this will be one bad machine. Thanks for validating my concerns. Again, great demo videos of a great guitar.

Great review on the guitar. Very well done. I just picked up one from Musician's friend and I am experiencing a slight amount of string buzz on 2 strings on open notes. Overall it's not in bad condition for a guitar at this price point but I was wondering if you think that replacing the bridge would clear up the problem. The frets need to be leveled but do not appear to be in any worse condition than any of my american strats. The guitar has been properly set up so it's not a setup issue.

@munderamplification As I said above the bridge was a P.O.S. and replaced it with a good tone pros bridge. I also leveled and polished the frets which made it much better. Overall a good guitar for the money.

And by the way you have done the only decent review of these on YouTube. The only vid with a sound that's just as gainy as Bonamassa's to give a true comparison to his sound!

that guitar is better than the gibson version,i have one and i am playing fenders yamahas gibsons all my life,its a one off and thats the end of story even if gibson men do not agree!!

Do you personally have any complaints about this guitar? Did you have to get the action set up when you got it or was it already set up good from the factory? Also was it made in Korea or China? By the way, very nice playing!!!

@NEWYORKGATOR08 It was set up fair from the factory. The bridge was junk so I replaced that with a good tone pros bridge. I set it up myself as I do all my guitars. It could use a fret level too. This was made in China and I don't know if I'd buy another.

If it makes a better tone which is what I assume it does by the the name of the bridge, how does it work and enhance the tone?

@NEWYORKGATOR08 Tone Pros is just a brand name. I replaced the poor quality ABR-1 style bridge with a Gibson Nashville style bridge. The saddle adjustment screws were loose and sloppy on the stock bridge and it would not stay intonated properly.

@lebema1 I meant a friend bought the JB Gibson LP studio and said it was a dog. A cheaply made and terrible playing guitar and sent it back the same day.

If your playing through the pod, but what amp was the pod plugged into?

@aaronguns Right from the POD to a mixer to the camera aux mic input. Used the cabinet sim on the POD with the British high gain patch. No amp at all.

I've been waiting 8 years for a Bonamassa signature model. In the beginning, I thought tah Fender would build one. However, the true became better than the dream. It's a gold top, made by Gibson and there is an Epiphone too!!! I must to get one of those!

Seriously now, I love the guitar. Now that you had some time to play it what is your opinion about the guitar as a professional guitar player? The reason I ask is I wanna buy a Gibby studio, but I don't think it will beat the Epi JBLP.

@tuti1976 I love it so far. The only issue I had is the cheap ABR-1 bridge that they put on these guitars as does Gibson on a lot of models. The saddles aren't real secure and tend to move easily when palming the bridge thus screwing up your tuning and intonation. I ordered a Gotoh Nashville style bridge for mine as I have on all guitars that I have with this crap bridge that should be discontinued. I found most Epis better than a lot of Gibsons these days.
