i understand how you feel all these idiots telling you to stop consuming more calories dont know that by doing so youre starving your body and will not lose any weight what so ever..
U need to feed those long workouts with healthy food plus check your hormones. You might have a thyroid problem that is keeping the weight on. You could starve yourself and not loose weight. Hope it works.
@popcornwbutter The only time that muscles weigh more than fat is if the pounds of muscle is higher than the pounds of fat. That's why people need to keep up with their body fat percentage. If muscle and fat weigh the same, muscle will not weigh more than fat. Example. 5 pounds of muscles and 5 pounds of fat = 5 pounds. Muscle takes up less space than fat.

I just started Slim in 6. I know you mentioned you weren't losing any weight. I wonder if you were low on calories. 1000 cal is not much for an hour of jogging and half an hour of a work out tape. Maybe measuring inches would show your progress better. Your photo's a great. How are you doing now 3 years later?

Oh I forgot to mention....I've been doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred & Shred it with weights. Wrkin with kettlebells is more effective that's how I started to lose weight again. Try it out.
I started my weight loss journey on 2 mos ago and have lost 32 lbs since I started. I think I would've lost more but like you I also hit plateau for 3 wks ugh. So I changed up my wrk outs n eating more calories, cuz I wasn't eating enough. I did eat all my 3 meals plus snacked 2wice..but I guess it wouldn't add up to all the calories I needed for the the day. I also stopped weighin myself n focused more on the inches. Which is more effective. Dnt give up you'll get there.
have you cleaned your diet? if you wanna loose weight, you will have to also eat less, no junk or sweets, count calories 1300-1400 per day, then if you don;t see a change, drop to 1200. U can't expect only 30 min/day to do wonders if you're not cleaning the other 23 hours of the day.
@icegirld although I appreciate your comment in trying to help, if you watch any of my videos or read the description, I was following weight watchers and I was trying difft things weekly like less carbs, more protein, more water, more veggies, less salt, etc. At this point in my weightloss (which was over 3 yrs ago) I hit a plateau and I just needed to ride it out. And it wasn't just 30 min a day, it was an hr plus jogging and all the other daily stuff one does to get as much activity in.

Im English so ive had to convert a bit but ohh well.
Im at 147lb atm. I want to loose 1/2 a stone to a stone so thats 7lb to 14lb (dont know why i had to think so hard with that one). Not much, but I also want to tone so I dont think I will end up loosing that much. tbh, i don't really trust weighing myself cause theres all sorts of things that can alter your weight. anyway...

@xxsandoos if you listened at all to the video, you would realize that I was on minimal pts on the Weight Watchers system, so eating at all wasn't the problem. I was most likely eating 1000 cals a day, so stfu :)
wow there is a huge difference in your photos i think you look great. You cannot always go by the scale you know you should measure yourself also. I think if you would had measured yourslef you would have seen the difference there. GOOD LUCK
OMG!! you are sooo hilarious! I was laughing sooo hard when I saw your "little clip" because I am also doing this workout but you actually showed the all the moves in a Fast Forward mode. I'll tell you that even though you have been at the same weight I am sure you have lost inches because I have! Instead of losing weight on the scale, I actually stayed the same but I could definitely tell that I have lost weight because I can tell by looking at my body and by how my clothes fit. keep it up!

I'm 5'9 and 145 pounds and I struggle with slim and 6, so you shouldn't listen to others. Everyone has a different fitness level and if you arent used to working out its hard I know :(. I also noticed no weight loss with it.
You must not be eating correctly... any exercise and healthy eating will make you lose weight easily. By the way.. your clip of exercise looks like a perfectly easy and not too straining of a workout..
@hlewark wow, you are so helpful, thank you! At this time I actually hit a plateau after losing about 25 lbs. Everyone had different fitness levels and at this time, this was very difficult for me. @hlewark I've been doing Slim and 6 Burn it Up exercises and while it looks like pretty basic moves it's a killer. By the end I'm completely drained. The moves are very repetitive and exhausts the muscle group for sure. Great exercise video. I keep going back to it. Now every ohter day I run and the opposite days I do slim and 6 to keep toned! My body feels awesome and strong when I do Slim and 6, but I haven't lost any real weight either, mostly gained muscle, which is a good thing.

You concentrate too much on losing weight and not on body fat percentage. When you gain muscle, you will gain weight. I was 156 lb at 45 % body fat. I am now 164 lb and LOST 20 % body fat. I gained 15 lb of lean muscle mass and lost 20% fat.
You need to weigh yourself 1st thing upon waking up, before drinking or having any breakfast and standing on the scale nude. Your weight will fluctuate daily due to water weight (not yet urinated), have not had a release of bowel movement, etc.
@desires4u2 well thx for the tips, but trust me, i know ALL the tricks. still do them every week. I was and am concentrating on my weight bc I want to be in a healthy range. plus, I was paying weight watchers at the time. When I'm a smaller weight, then I'll be more concerned with body fat
@DarlingDQ I think you are missing the point. Body fat is more important than one's weight. Healthy range for a woman is (Acceptable 2531%). You could be 125 lb and be at 35% body fat which is considered obese. How can you get to a smaller weight WITHOUT losing some body fat too? Which comes 1st the chicken or the egg? You don't know all the trick.
@desires4u2 how do you even know what I know? I get what you are saying and I know I lost body fat during this time. I was just more concerned with lbs bc I was spending 40 bucks a month with no job at weight watchers so I could weigh in every week. Not so they could test my body fat. Thx for the info.
@LizMar927 this is 2 yrs old. but yes i tracked every little thing that entered my mouth. Drank tons of water. Tried witching it up by eating more protein, and less carbs and more veggies and everything. If you watch the video, I say all that too. But I did lean out. even my measurements didnt get smaller tho. just smoothed out and more toned i guess
i wanted to tell u that i also have the slim in 6 videos and the first week i lost 12 lbs but i think you are losing inches and it will take a little while before you lose pounds cause you really dont have that much weight to lose so i say keep up the good work and stick with it also watching u do the excerise was so funny i could not stop laughing.

Since you haven't been able to lose weight, my suggestion is that you should do a natural detox. It's a great jump start! and I agree that the exercise that you're doing is effective on your radiance. You should also measure your inches around your waist and arms. Ya look good kid!

Losing weight is going to be more diet than anything. The working out is great for many reasons in addition to helping to lose the weight. The slim in 6 series is good for core strength. Keep it up, but also really pay closer attention to your intake. When I had totally " had enough" I went to my dr. and got on a regimented eating plan. I lost 15 lbs w/o the exercise. When I started working out the weigh loss slowed a big because you may eat more due to burning more energy. now down 35 :)
Second off, although you didn't loose any pounds, you may have gained muscle and lost fat at the same time. you looked way thinner in the new video, and I'm proud of you for devoting an hour each friggin' day to loose weight.
I am a big boned Asian person and I can never be like the typical Asian petite even though I am not overweight! So I do think it's genes (bone size). hope you dont mind my advice. good luck! btw, you did lose weight on those pics!
do you know why you don't lose weight?? because you're all muscle girl! the weight you gain is actually muscle. that is not the right exercise for you. try yoga and avoid too much protien (meat, dairy etc.) get into south beach (carbs, fruits, veggies only) you'll relax the muscles w/ that diet then easily lose the weight instead. also, i dont think you're overweight. you're what you call curvy/voluptous. the size of your bones tells your body how to shape itself therefore it's genes.

hey good job so far, i work in a store that sells these dvds and i also do it about 4 times a week with my manager in the morning time. result will deffinatly show through more when you start the cardio disk. also a good way to measure fat loss is just by keeping track of inches.

I'd re-evaluate your eating.. I didn't know that slimin 6 has a weight-watcher attached plan....You can exercise like mad but if your diet isn't paired to facilitate the change your training is aimed for.. Your eating will directly go against your training. Many of the posters have also noted the same thing.
I don't see you utilizing any of the pilate weight balls or dumbbells as well...
Also keep working on your form ~ especially on your lunges.
First Of All... Muscle Weighs more then fat. There is no way..... on this hard program.. you can not.. lose inches. I play my own music with the video since there is none. My suggestion to you.. is.. Cut out the bread and White Starches.. Cereals .. ice cream.. junk food... eat more chicken and fish.. cut the red meats down.. Give up desserts.. and soda... and I garantee you will lose weight.. If you try this and you don't ...mabe you need to see your doctor to get your thyroid tested.

I can see.. my body changing. I am not sure... why your bashing this product.. But.. I suggest .... you take a look at your diet because... there is no way.... at 44 that I can lose 5 pounds and see definition.. and you don't.

I have been doing slim in six for 4 weeks now and i am seeing a difference in my body! You have to be patient, Slim in 6 is not the only thing i have done to lose 31lbs I walk on the treadmill 1 1/2 hour in the morning and 1 1/2 hour at night and i do slim in six 7 days a week you just have to be patient, relax ur a very pretty girl. You also have to be very careful what you eat. Keep up the good work it will pay off.
some peope jst dont loose weight!!! but i know of a diet that might help you choose those pounds that are pissing you off! google or youtube the grapefruit diet! has helped me a lot! an for me it was very difficult to loose weight. i lost 20 pounds in 30 days so its worth a try!
MzSkribble is 100% correct - you're not even SUPPOSED to weigh in when you start a workout regimen...it's always going to make it appear that you're not losing, or even that you're gaining, when you're actually building lean muscle mass. The fat that you lose is replaced with muscle, which weighs the same or more than fat. Throw out your scales and get out a measuring tape!!!
You've totally convinced me. Your before and after photos are AWESOME! That program has totally worked for you! I see why it can be difficult to see that it's working. The program looks like it helps you to lose weight ALL OVER...even though you stayed at the same weight for 2 weeks, it doesn't mean it wasn't working, you were losing inches and it even makes sense that you may have gained a few pounds as you were sculpting muscle. I'm getting the discs. I'm convinced that it works.
I can identify SO MANY reasons why this person did not have dramatic success with slim in six. I will certify that I have done Slim in Six as directed and lost 15 pounds in 6 weeks - 5lbs. in the first week alone! I went from a size 10 to a size 4 in one shot. The mealplan is actually more important than the workouts for weight-loss. Anyway, I'm just frustrated that someone would trash this program because they didn't follow it correctly. Slim in Six works.

Aw, I feel bad. I've had better luck using DVD's from a male instructor. The female instructors are kind of whimpy & because you are already doing the program its not working; it worked for me. Good Luck.

please don't give up, and recall you have to change your eating habits, like not eating in front of the tv or laptop, drink more water etc. Little things make a big difference. YOU are doing great, muscle weights more than fat, and the way you look, it looks like you needed just to tone up, basically tighten up, not lose. When you tune, or tighten up you lose inches, things are not jiggling, flabby, etc. You know what I am saying. I love taebo, and this, i rotate days. dont give up okay!
You got the exercise down pat, you go girl. Dont stop it will work for you. Follow their advice with your eating plan. I ordered the tape, now I know what to do.
Are your clothes bigger. Are your tops feeling bigger. Thats how you can really tell if something is working or not. I have been at the same weight for 4 yrs yet I have gone down sizes and everything keeps getting bigger. I am not doing slim and 6 though so I am not sure maybe its the program?
EAT less calories. Eat vegetables, fruits, and lean meats (white meat; chicken). Don't eat high sugar, high sodium, high fat, high calorie, high carbs foods. No artificial foods. All natural! Minimize your fats and sweets intake to 130 calories a day! Good luck! I know you can make it! Cardio and strength together = great results! Don't give up!
just go running and remember the exercises you are doing now. I ended up youtubing some pilates exercises and lost 15 lbs. Just gotta find what's right for you. There is no secret to these videos, just exercise and eating right-- something you should be able to do for free.
GET TURBO JAMS!!!!! I tried the slim in 6 and let me tell you I was not too happy with it. It's a little boring and repetitive and not energizing, then i tried Chalene, and it's awesome. I love it and now i work out everyday!

Keep trying, eat more veggies, fruits (pears!), and lean meats if you must. Try yoga, too. Restrict all sweets! Also try Hip Hop Abs by Shuan T! Some people lost around 10 inches in a few weeks so try it!
your right. me and my sister always do slim in 6 and all that happens is that everything hurts. We don't loose any weight. My sister just shakes the house.
I lost weight during the first week. Everyone's body is different and will respond differently. Guitarguy24...wow. 6 weeks, Not 6 minutes! Try doing the video and something else u like. Maybe swimming or basketball. Mix it up.
What is your workout history? If you don't have any muscle tone because you've never worked out before...then you're gonna need to do some work to build your muscle.
Also, like others have said, muscle weighs more than fat. Sometimes it takes weeks to actually lose the fat after you've built the muscle.
Actual cardio would help you too. Go walking, running, etc. and you'd see results quicker.
OMG! thats the thing youare eating more protien with a work out that helps getting you toned. dont expect to lose weight right away. you are going to gain because of the muscle you are building up. your pants size are probably smaller because muscle and fat weigh the same but muscle is more slimmer. so dont give up and stop packing the protien if you are looking to losing before toning
First I would measure the inches you lost, you did say you were toner. Also, you may want to visit your doctor and have a test for hypothyroidism. Many many women have it and dont know it. You typical can exercise 4 ever and not lost a pound. The answer may be the medication synthroid. Do yourself a favor and check it out. I did ..........long story.
Don't forget that you'r gaining muscle as well, and it weighs a lot more than fat.

OMG!! you are sooo hilarious! I was laughing sooo hard when I saw your "little clip" because I am also doing this workout but you actually showed the all the moves in a Fast Forward mode. I'll tell you that even though you have been at the same weight I am sure you have lost inches because I have! Instead of losing weight on the scale, I actually stayed the same but I could definitely tell that I have lost weight because I can tell by looking at my body and by how my clothes fit. keep it up!

I'm 5'9 and 145 pounds and I struggle with slim and 6, so you shouldn't listen to others. Everyone has a different fitness level and if you arent used to working out its hard I know :(. I also noticed no weight loss with it.

@hlewark I've been doing Slim and 6 Burn it Up exercises and while it looks like pretty basic moves it's a killer. By the end I'm completely drained. The moves are very repetitive and exhausts the muscle group for sure. Great exercise video. I keep going back to it. Now every ohter day I run and the opposite days I do slim and 6 to keep toned! My body feels awesome and strong when I do Slim and 6, but I haven't lost any real weight either, mostly gained muscle, which is a good thing.

You concentrate too much on losing weight and not on body fat percentage. When you gain muscle, you will gain weight. I was 156 lb at 45 % body fat. I am now 164 lb and LOST 20 % body fat. I gained 15 lb of lean muscle mass and lost 20% fat.
You need to weigh yourself 1st thing upon waking up, before drinking or having any breakfast and standing on the scale nude. Your weight will fluctuate daily due to water weight (not yet urinated), have not had a release of bowel movement, etc.

@DarlingDQ I think you are missing the point. Body fat is more important than one's weight. Healthy range for a woman is (Acceptable 2531%). You could be 125 lb and be at 35% body fat which is considered obese. How can you get to a smaller weight WITHOUT losing some body fat too? Which comes 1st the chicken or the egg? You don't know all the trick.

@LizMar927 this is 2 yrs old. but yes i tracked every little thing that entered my mouth. Drank tons of water. Tried witching it up by eating more protein, and less carbs and more veggies and everything. If you watch the video, I say all that too. But I did lean out. even my measurements didnt get smaller tho. just smoothed out and more toned i guess

well i now thats fast forward but u need to take your time. and also watch what you eat. right now it looks like u r on a crash diet routine. no offence. it still looks like u r going to fast. get the stress off and. u should pick a good time in the day to pick a meal that will hold you over for hours. then maybe do this excerise twice a day

Since you haven't been able to lose weight, my suggestion is that you should do a natural detox. It's a great jump start! and I agree that the exercise that you're doing is effective on your radiance. You should also measure your inches around your waist and arms. Ya look good kid!

Losing weight is going to be more diet than anything. The working out is great for many reasons in addition to helping to lose the weight. The slim in 6 series is good for core strength. Keep it up, but also really pay closer attention to your intake. When I had totally " had enough" I went to my dr. and got on a regimented eating plan. I lost 15 lbs w/o the exercise. When I started working out the weigh loss slowed a big because you may eat more due to burning more energy. now down 35 :)

do you know why you don't lose weight?? because you're all muscle girl! the weight you gain is actually muscle. that is not the right exercise for you. try yoga and avoid too much protien (meat, dairy etc.) get into south beach (carbs, fruits, veggies only) you'll relax the muscles w/ that diet then easily lose the weight instead. also, i dont think you're overweight. you're what you call curvy/voluptous. the size of your bones tells your body how to shape itself therefore it's genes.

hey good job so far, i work in a store that sells these dvds and i also do it about 4 times a week with my manager in the morning time. result will deffinatly show through more when you start the cardio disk. also a good way to measure fat loss is just by keeping track of inches.

I'd re-evaluate your eating.. I didn't know that slimin 6 has a weight-watcher attached plan....You can exercise like mad but if your diet isn't paired to facilitate the change your training is aimed for.. Your eating will directly go against your training. Many of the posters have also noted the same thing.
I don't see you utilizing any of the pilate weight balls or dumbbells as well...
Also keep working on your form ~ especially on your lunges.

First Of All... Muscle Weighs more then fat. There is no way..... on this hard program.. you can not.. lose inches. I play my own music with the video since there is none. My suggestion to you.. is.. Cut out the bread and White Starches.. Cereals .. ice cream.. junk food... eat more chicken and fish.. cut the red meats down.. Give up desserts.. and soda... and I garantee you will lose weight.. If you try this and you don't ...mabe you need to see your doctor to get your thyroid tested.

I have been doing slim in six for 4 weeks now and i am seeing a difference in my body! You have to be patient, Slim in 6 is not the only thing i have done to lose 31lbs I walk on the treadmill 1 1/2 hour in the morning and 1 1/2 hour at night and i do slim in six 7 days a week you just have to be patient, relax ur a very pretty girl. You also have to be very careful what you eat. Keep up the good work it will pay off.

MzSkribble is 100% correct - you're not even SUPPOSED to weigh in when you start a workout regimen...it's always going to make it appear that you're not losing, or even that you're gaining, when you're actually building lean muscle mass. The fat that you lose is replaced with muscle, which weighs the same or more than fat. Throw out your scales and get out a measuring tape!!!

You've totally convinced me. Your before and after photos are AWESOME! That program has totally worked for you! I see why it can be difficult to see that it's working. The program looks like it helps you to lose weight ALL OVER...even though you stayed at the same weight for 2 weeks, it doesn't mean it wasn't working, you were losing inches and it even makes sense that you may have gained a few pounds as you were sculpting muscle. I can identify SO MANY reasons why this person did not have dramatic success with slim in six. I will certify that I have done Slim in Six as directed and lost 15 pounds in 6 weeks - 5lbs. in the first week alone! I went from a size 10 to a size 4 in one shot. The mealplan is actually more important than the workouts for weight-loss. Anyway, I'm just frustrated that someone would trash this program because they didn't follow it correctly. please don't give up, and recall you have to change your eating habits, like not eating in front of the tv or laptop, drink more water etc. Little things make a big difference. YOU are doing great, muscle weights more than fat, and the way you look, it looks like you needed just to tone up, basically tighten up, not lose. When you tune, or tighten up you lose inches, things are not jiggling, flabby, etc. You know what I am saying. I love taebo, and this, i rotate days. dont give up okay!

EAT less calories. Eat vegetables, fruits, and lean meats (white meat; chicken). Don't eat high sugar, high sodium, high fat, high calorie, high carbs foods. No artificial foods. All natural! Slim in 6 is the most boring workout ever. Turbo Jam is more fun and diverse.
Slim in 6 has some challenging moves but you have to restrict calories. Just working out isn't enough.

What is your workout history? If you don't have any muscle tone because you've never worked out before...then you're gonna need to do some work to build your muscle.
Also, like others have said, muscle weighs more than fat. Sometimes it takes weeks to actually lose the fat after you've built the muscle.
Actual cardio would help you too. Go walking, running, etc. and you'd see results quicker.

you should play football\soccer if you wanna lose weight coz you do all that and you lose easier coz your running about and that too

OMG! thats the thing youare eating more protien with a work out that helps getting you toned. dont expect to lose weight right away. you are going to gain because of the muscle you are building up. your pants size are probably smaller because muscle and fat weigh the same but muscle is more slimmer. so dont give up and stop packing the protien if you are looking to losing before toning

First I would measure the inches you lost, you did say you were toner. Also, you may want to visit your doctor and have a test for hypothyroidism. Many many women have it and dont know it. You typical can exercise 4 ever and not lost a pound. The answer may be the medication synthroid. Do yourself a favor and check it out. I did ..........long story.

Catastrophic, a lb of muscle is also a lb of fat. They are the same lb for lb, fat just takes up more room (density) than muscle.

Don't forget that you'r gaining muscle as well, and it weighs a lot more than fat.
