To be honestest..I liked t(he difference in the price and awareness that you trying to come up with) but...man taking an interview with a driver while driving in roads like Kathmandu sounds little uncomfortable.

Good attempt...bt u could have added few more info. to make it more objective n balanced. u showed the fluctuations in meter readings travelling from same start n end point back n forth bt u have not disclosed whether u were caught in traffic jam or nt? if yes, the durations of traffic jam vary or nt? becoz this too has its implication on fluctuations of taxi fare.

i wanted to take a taxi frm hanuman dhoka to sathdobato and i said to driver i will go only if u turn the meter on and he strictly told me ' i will take the long route if u want the meter on but if we fix a price than ill take u the short cut'. no arguments i had to take the short cut. Good one Lex i always wanted to know...

Last time I was riding a taxi in Ktm..which was like 5 years back..the driver showed me and my friend a small button under the gear which when he clicked on sort of doubled the speed of the taxi meter..the guy was really friendly to us..and we were travelling on a fixed rate..still dont understand why he showed his trick to us..but..thats how it worked for him:)

the first taxi driver really touched me when he said that he need the money for his children's school fees, unlike the second one, he looked like he a abit high
