Linux is awesome, it's free. Windows 7? There's a 90 day trial, and then there's Mint KDE.

I've been using Ubuntu for a VERY long time, and I'm considering the switch to Mint KDE instead.

So far, I've been trying to install Ubuntu 10.04 32 bit, AND get Flash player to successfully install and work. I'm on my second try right now, and if it fails I'll go with Mint which has it pre-installed.

What are you talking about? the hackintosh? I've tried it before and as far as I know, none of the flavors support my graphics card.... and im not going to bother to waste the money to get an nvidia for this puter, maybe my other one but not this one.

I thought it was pretty unique but after coming from Arch Linux to give this a try only to find out that they didn't fix ALSA to use multiple sounds at once which ALSA is now capable of. I am sure this will be in Ubuntu 9.10 since the update happened after 9.04 was released. Another thing is that if you need a gpg key and you are looking for the Sources manager under preferences...it's not there. Linux mint is actually slightly different than Ubuntu in the way it's designed.

You can install it inside Windows...it comes with Wubi. Thats what I did.

Just section off anything from 6 to 20 Gb of harddrive space and install right off the CD with one click. Simple.

You get this option if you decide to click 'Install'.
