  • "shrinking community"

bullshit...every time I go outside I see Christians everywhere

  • What language is in praying is that aramaic?

  • @cvhgx I am not familiar with both Aramaic and Assyrian language, but the hymn book there is written in Assyrian. They sang in Assyrian. For that reason, I guess, the language of praying should be Assyrian, too.

  • @cvhgx yes it's neo Aramaic

  • Christanity is dying is west coz they people never really followed it and now leaving it

but christanity is asia is growing :)

  • @cvhgx I cannot predict the destiny of the Western Christianity, but no doubt the center of Christianity is quickly shifting from the West to the non-Wester world like Asia, Africa and Latin America.

  • @kkohara Yeah :)

  • I love Assyrians :) ♥

  • @PersianQueenz So do I. I believe the presence of Assyrians is getting more precious from the historical view point.

  • @kkohara yes i love all the Iranians Assyrians Azaris Persians etc :)

  • Greetings from China!

  • @YohanCn Thank you! I have uploaded a few movies of Chinese churches, too.

  • @kkohara Unfortunately Nestorianist were suppressed and substituded by Roman Catholism and nowadays there's no longer any Nestorianism Tradition in China anymore. I regret for that. Seeing this, I'm very happy that Nestorianism is well-preserved in Iran.

  • @YohanCn Thank you for informing me of the history of the Nestorian in China. I have been interested in the religious history in China because it has tremendously influenced the Japanese society. The Nestorian had flourished in China at some times, but they could not survive due to the political pressure and persecution. The Nestorian in Iran might seem to be well-preserved, in actuality they are always suffering from various kinds of discriminations according to its members I had interviewed.

  • Wooow nice church!! I hope the Assyrians of Iran spreads Christianity there not only for Assyrians but also the other people. Great job! God Bless!

  • JESUS KING OF PEACE GOD BLESS IRAN,,,

  • Definitely: this is the Cathedral of the Chaldean Catholic Church diocese of Tehran. The Chaldean Catholic Church belongs to the Catholic Church, under the guidance of Pope Benedict XVI. (Infos from GigaCatholic Information). His Excellency Archbishop Ramzi Garmou is the President of the Iranian conference of Catholic bishops.

  • @donhenri01 Listen carefully, in Iran Assyrians will never call them self's Chaldean. they are Assyrian Catholics! Chaldean's are Assyrian that have been brainwashed by the catholic church since 1515. Priests lie, but history does not.

  • @Assyrianland2 Stop being offensive against Catholicism and Priest.

  • @donhenri01, When it comes to my people i will be, no one has the right to change the name of my people to something else! And no i don't have a problem with Catholics, but like i said people lie, and i don't care if they are priests, they are human like the rest of us, and people sin and lie. All people that speak Syriac are Assyrian!

P.s i lived in Rome, and i attended catholic church all the time, and i even seen the late great pope john Paul II, but i am Orthodox till death!!!

  • May God bless your church .I am a member of catholic church ( oriental rite of Syro Malabar) in S India (Kerala state )we are following the Chaldean Liturgy. (Assyrian Eastern Syriac) I wish all goodness an prosperity to Iranian Church in future

  • same to you brother! in adam we are dead but in christ we live for ever. we suffer here and you suffer in india but one day our suffering shall bear its fruits!

  • Yes, you are right. This is an Assyrian Catholic Church, but it did not belong to the Catholic in the past.

  • This is the Church of Mar Yosip Assyrian - Chaldean Catholic Church built in Teheran Iran in 1948.

  • This is not the Church of the East this is Assyrian Catholic Church. They are not under Mar Din Kha we have saints but we dont have them displayed in church.

  • This church is located very close to the Iranshahr Hotel Tehran Iran (No.75 , south Iranshahr Ave.,Tehran 15816 Iran) where I stayed.

  • Are you certain that this is an Assyrian Church of the East church. There are pictures of saints in this church, the Assyrian Church of the East prohibits such displays.

  • I am not familiar with Assyrian Church in general, but according to the priests there, this church is an Assyrian and now belongs to the Catholic church. It seems that they have a bit complicated history.

  • Not true, church of east believes in saints such as saint George

  • It's beautiful

    Thank you :)

  • very beautiful chanting

  • are they singing in persian ?

  • They are singing in Assyrian. They have a hymn book written in Assyrian.

  • finajet, These are Assyrian minorities who live in Iran. Assyrians are among the oldest christian communities in the world and are descendents of the Ancient Assyrian empire. They are dispersed throughout various parts of the world and no longer have a their own country. they are however some of the most bad ass people you will ever meet...how do I know you ask?...I'm one of them.
