  • its great

  • wtf this is so fucking good!

  • This is when you know a band is fucking brilliant. They can perform the same song in two different ways and yet it's still fucking amazing.

  • Does anyone have chords for this?

  • Great interpretation of the song. Gotta say the original is still my fav but this one is definitely growing on me

  • This is what a cover should be like. Not an exact copy of a song, but an artists representaion.

  • You suck! Please stop trying to promote the genocide of awesome music & go back to listening to RnB

  • It would have been so cool if they'd put this on Daisy as a hidden track or something.

  • cred to Kevin for making the tune, but i gotta say, Brand New does it better.

  • this is good. (=

  • wow. definitely wasn't expecting that. XD cool diff. interpretation tho. =DD

  • wonderful.

  • Most interesting thing i heard all day

  • It's acoustic. Percussion isn't an emphasis.

And Brian Lane's a very good drummer. Try playing "Not the Sun" or "Archers".

  • those are pretty much my favorites from D&G

  • i had to pre order their new album AGAIN to get this..... so worth it (i bought it 3 times, once to get the itunes exclusives, a second to get the physical cd that came with free passes to their accoustic show wich was awesome, and a third to get the at the bottom single with this on it, still worth it)

  • How is calling a song 'superb' spam, just b/c people cant read leave me alone...

  • Ok why is Kevin Devine holding a cup that says 'Oslo' on 3:00? If they've been in Norway without me knowing I think I'll kill myself.

  • they filmed all of these in a studio in Brooklyn so i don't think they were in Norway recently, so don't kill yourself.

  • jesus christ with a blue grass twang.

    love it.

    love daisy as well.

    :}

  • this is nice, but i prefer the rawer live acoustic versions

  • Hard not to hear modest mouse here. Which is a compliment.

  • Not a big fan of Kevin Devine's vocals. I do like this version though.

  • superb!

  • great song, like this version just as much. keep on playing!

  • i love the way they incorporated some of the "play crack the sky" lyrics

  • what were the crack the sky lyrics?

  • i screwed up i thought th lyrics "This ship went down in sight of land" because it has the same kind of feel in both songs and crack the sky is ship themed. my bad

  • haha. all good. i got excited for a second cause thats my favorite song of theirs.

  • this is really cool. VV yeah it does kinda sound MBD. I love MBD too so its awesone to me. I love brand new

  • SOOOO modest mouse meets murder by death perhaps. i dont mind this version at all.. its very catchy and fun. like a happy version of the emo one.

  • agreed.. i'd thumbs up you back to viewing status if they hadn't gone down so far already hah

  • This is really exciting! I hope there is enough material for a dvd release or something. Also, the lighting is beautiful, the editing is great, and I'd like to hear the rest of the interviews and songs (if any). Great job guys!

  • I love this version, and Kevin Devine.

Also, i have more important things to do than to sniff catnip...hm.

  • stunning, Kevin devine is a genius

  • I saw Jesse and Kevin play this two years ago in Jackson, MS, and it was amazing. These Daisy studio sessions are awesome, it would great if they would release an EP. They would have made good iTunes bonus tracks. I'm just hoping they'll release them eventually.

  • This is so good.

Also, I love how Brian seems to enjoy this so much at 0:23!

  • thats amazing
