  • I've been looking at the Dude Harps lately along with the Bottle 'O Blues mic and some more custom harps and your review just adds to the claims on the Dude Harp site. Thanks a bunch.

  • Ever try a Seydel?

  • Your harmonica play is very cool. I want to play harmnica like you .Your play so emotional and wild. Just play of man.You are god of harmonica to me . I study hard this movie I watch .

  • I've visited the Dude's site and noticed that this harp looks exactly like Marine Band Deluxe from the back. The same trick with cowers. I ould like to try this custom, but it's a bit too expensive for me. I'll stick with my Special 20 and MBDx.

  • how hard is it to learn the harmonica to that standard, im interested in playing

    drop me a line:)

  • Thanks for your modest videos with sound advice. One question on the Tombo Lee Oskar harps especially the low G and F on their lower ranges I get a clacking/ rattling when bending down there. Is this common to all low harps or just some makes ? Are these harps 'mid-range' or cheap and nasty ? I want to make sure my mistakes are me not the harp I'm using. Thanks for your time.

  • very good, dude. the dude abides.

  • what key is that?

  • It's a A harmonica played in E

  • yeah if I have a harmonica in A that means i should play blues in E with it? or in B ?

    (beginer here)

  • It depends. When you play in E on an A harp you've got the so-called 2nd position in which the blues scale is the easiest to play. When you play in B with an A harp, you play in the 3rd position, which is easier when applied to minor tunes (those that sound sad). If you want to play like Sonny Boy Williamson (or Ronnie in this vid) you should play in E.

  • alright thx

  • good work man :-)

  • Which Dude Harp Model are you playing on the video. Is it one of the wood comb ones or the plastic comb one? Also, did you find it overblowable?

  • wood comb, also the comment i wrote above was regarding Suzuki harps.

  • Hi Ronnie what do you think of the Suzukie Harps? Sandy

  • They play nice but i have noticed that at times the reeds will stick if i put too much air into them.

Also, the 1 draw/band can make an popping noise as the reed is hitting the cover plate..not a good thing.

Otherwise, they do sound nice and play well.

  • You're amazing man... about how much does one cost?

  • I never heard of a dude harp before, it looks like a Hohner marine band from the back and a Hohner blues harp from the front. I think I'll just buy special 20's in the future they are reasonably priced and don't hurt my lips. Out of curiosity just how many harmonicas do you own? I'd imagine like 40, just a guess :)

  • 'bout right.

  • I havent purchased one but Damm does that sound good!!

  • The new harp sounds good, but then again I always think you sound good..Haha! Keep the videos coming I enjoy them.

  • Has anyone else purchased one? If so, please feel free to add a comment on the harmonica.
