My dad introduced Stevie Ray, Jeff Healey, Santana, Eric Clapton, & also KennyWS. He's my favorite. I remember the 1st time I heard his music. My dad was watching a performance of his @ The House of Blues on TV. My dad told me that I really needed to c this kid play. I believe it was in 1997 or 1998. I was mesmerized by this young long haired white kid on stage playin the hell out of his guitar. He wasn't even the lead singer of his band, which was fine w/me. I'm a fan of him & Noah.

@FreaquedeMusique Tons of people didn't get a few personal lessons from SRV or tour with Double Trouble in his place like KWS either... He's a great bluesman regardless, that's what blues is, it's handed down from player to player and you add your own take on it. Music isn't a competition... This isn't the Mtv Awards...

Dude, this guy doesn't deserve his signature strat.I'm sure anyone can play like this if he or she just work 24/7 for like 5 years and just listen blues.Watch Mayer, Hendrix, SRV you will see a difference in their playing.I mean SOMETHING IS REALLY MISSING in KWS's playing.I can't do John Mayer's fingerpicking or SRV's and Hendrix's guitar playing with their soul.You can really feel it.Watch their videos on youtube.But i'm %100 sure that i can play like this.You can also play like this.Trust me.

Met the guy after an EMP interview w/ Hubert Sumlin in Seattle. He's a mellow, self effacing, modest kinda guy. He deferred to Mr. Sumlin (Chigago blues meister). It's gotta be weird to be interviewed about a namesake guitar when you're not a complete egomaniac. Nice demo, btw.

if youve listened to his new album, i think everyone would shut up. all you try and play like he does. good luck. if you can show him up, then good for you, your quite the talented person. but most likely you'll suck. one video of him playing isn't how he always plays. watch and listen to other videos, give him a chance.

The subject of the vid is Fender's KWS sig model. I scored one used that is probably the best Strat I'll ever have. Like Jimmie Vaughan, Shepherd chose MIM production to keep the price-point within reach for the average player. The features make it what it is. The big neck, jumbo frets, graph-tec saddles and the kick-ass pups. The graphics are just frosting. One other detail is the satin finish on the back of the neck instead of the gloss on the peghead. Much smoother and silkier for your hand.

He amazed me at the Exp. Hendrix show in Durham, NC. He played Jimi's white woodstock strat !!!!! He is the closest to what Hendrix made me feel. Check "Like" if you FELT this in his playing.
