I was lucky enough to see Steve a few times at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco and he was one of a kind. I'd love to see a version of this without the guy talking.
I have never played a lick on a guitar in my life, watching Steve here makes me want to pick up a classic and learn. This is awe inspiring. Thanks to whoever put this out.
Thank you very much for putting this out - he had a great voice and talent, and did it all sick for 15 years - what a tough guy and an inspiration. One of my greatest influences. God Bless Steve.
WOW! This is one I never saw! Got a kick out of the performance, but even more of a kick out of seeing the Shure Vocal Master Speakers used as monitor speakers! Back then, EVERY place had a Vocal Master system---it was the Ford or Chevy of sound for small venues back then. Great memories of the era, and even greater memories of Chicago Shorty, Stevie Goodman!
I will never get over his death. I saw him live so many times. The first time I saw him, I couldn't believe it. He got me with the first song!

What can I say. Steve was a most unique musician and a gentle soul. He's sorely missed. Thanks for posting this.
