Scientists today are quick to dismiss a lot from the past as feelings and actions based on religion and emotion. What they do not realise, is that the people of the old were as much as scientists as the ones today. They were much more proficient at astronomy without satellites and telescopes in space than the inbred thoughts of astronomers today. While I am not sure if the doomsday will occur, I certainly believe that our ancestors were not fools to write stories without basis or relevance.

Most of these comments don't amaze me at all, you got to understand that as you perceive reality you then interpret and react to your own personal perception of it. Scientists today are quick to dismiss a lot from the past as feelings and actions based on religion and emotion. What they do not realise, is that the people of the old were as much as scientists as the ones today. They were much more proficient at astronomy without satellites and telescopes in space than the inbred thoughts of astronomers today. While I am not sure if the doomsday will occur, I certainly believe that our ancestors were not fools to write stories without basis or relevance.

The probability of 'Nebiru to arrive' with or without the Prophesy (which BTW never claimed that) on Dec. 21st or 23rd, 2012 is 1/10^32 and is one and the same every day, incl. today and tomorrow. The Prophesy of the Mayas concerns the state of mind of the people and it does not work on naturmorts like Earth, Sun, Galaxy, Sagittarius A* etc.
The probability of 'Nebiru to arrive' in the next 4 billion years is 1/10^18. This is considered virtually as zero chance of happening.

Nothing special in the physical world is expected to happen in 2012. Neither astronomical events, nor 'alignments' of any kind, nor 'collision of the Earth with a black hole', The Sun travels around that black hole for 4 billion years. The 'falling' to the black hole is actually a Galaxy stationary orbit at 27 000 light-years.
'Nebiru' is out of range of the far IR telescopes (> 2500 AU) & do you know how much an Astronomical Unit is, 1AU=149 598 000 km

The Solar System NEVER goes over the center of the Galaxy. It is 30 000 light years away from it ALL THE TIME (the SS travels in an orbit around the Center of the Galaxy). It traveled that way almost without problems ... in the last 500 million years for sure and nothing special is to be expected in 2012 and in the next 32 million years after 2012.

All these 'Return of the Ancestors', 'Return of the Supreme Diety', 'End of the Word of God' most probably have figurative meaning.
'Return of the Ancestors' may mean return to the old values, incl. to the gold or silver standard of money; 'End of the Word of God' may mean end of the prophesy (of the Mayas), the end of believing in prophesies, etc.

Unfortunately it is not only the Mayas & the Egyptians that have built pyramids. Nowadays the 'pyramids' are in the heads of the people, and the scenography is going digital. Take a look for example at the World Debt Clock of Economist - isn't this a contemporary pyramid outperforming the scenography of both the Mayas and Egypteans under the common denominator?

There is a consistency between the Mayans and the Egyptian pyramids and why is that? Did the Mayans and the Egyptians knew about Planet X, Nibiru or the destroyers as many calls it. Did the most powerful men of old times tried to save themselves from catastrophic events consequences of Nibiru by building gigantic pyramids? If you see closely to the peak of the Egypt pyramids you can see like if there is water damage.

BTW the prophesy does NOT predict End of the World.
The words of Challahn Ballahn there say: 'A time of the end of the Word of God'. The word is WORD not WORLD. Everything depends on the interpretation of the 'Word of God', which could mean in conventional sense 'Prophesy'; 'Scriptures'; 'Religious Traditions'.
IMHO this should be read: 'A time of the end of the PROPHESY' (of the Mayas)

has anyone heard of self-fullfilling prophecy? when 21 Dec of next year comes around I'm just gonna get me a beer and watch people freakout and enjoy a nice day. If your gonna go, why worry about and just enjoy you life. This is interresting, but your not gonna know for sure until the day comes and most likely we've completely misread something and will be disappointed as the day comes to pass.

Most of these comments don't amaze me at all, you got to understand that as you perceive reality you then interpret and react to your own personal perception of it. Most of these ancient beliefs were always taught in a legendary way so that the initiators could figure out who of the new generation were to be trusted, useful or needed, any others were used as examples of how to treat the unneeded, as in human terms to create new initiates is easy and you may as well create wanted ones.
