Ugh I don't even watch NFL anymore because of those fucking cheaters. Its not a sport when they are involved since the refs are wearing the same color. Anytime there's a bad call it's in their favor say what you want but it's true. Coincident? Nah
Sentence fragments to save space: Bad camera angle. Slanted hash mark is proof. Ball is farther than it appears. I'm sure everyone can agree on that.
But what people might not know is that the ball does not have to reach the lowest, tiniest part of the measurement stick. It only has to reach the thickest black part of the stick, right below the orange part. So while it looks an inch short, that space could be made up for with a perfect side view, which the referee has and we don't.
Its always the steelers with the cheating refs.....this is a big SHAME on football. I've seen this way to many times, and it always involves the refs screwing someone to favor the steelers. WTF.
the way i see it, any reasonable angle that the camera could have been at would make the ball appear closer to being a first down, so can you explain how you can say it was the camera angle that made it look like a bad call steelers fans?
The only one bitching here is you, you say "quit whining" when you got evidence right infront of you. Don't you get tired of being such an ignorant douche bag?
What angle was the camera at. When it comes to inches, if the camera is off by inches, it make it look like an obvious first down or like it is short. Anything but a camera looking straight down the line is not giving a true picture.
@lem4037 Your "angle of the camera" is more a conspiracy theory than anything. You can clearly see that there is a gap between the tip of the ball and the marker. Camera angle is irrelevant.

you're not that bright. It's the line of sight and camera angle....the camera is behind where the ball is....it is not a direct line straight from the sideline.
Im a Browns fan, and whie at first look i was pissed off at this call, after watching replays, the camera angle is off and it appears that the ball did break the line.
I'm not a fan of the Steelers, but the camera angle is clearly not down the line. Walt Anderson had the best view of the play and he squatted over the football and he was absolutely certain that is crossed the plain.
i think this is a thing that has got to be adressed. there need to be cameras DIRECTLEY on the first down line at all times. so this mix up doesnt happen again. because clearly this ball is a first down. but you cannot see it based on this SHIT angle. i mean really. since when are field lines slanted?!? look at the field line and you can see that this is a bad angle. only the players on the field and the refs can really tell.
i was at that game jackass, the steelers offense was walking off the field since they knew they didnt get the yardage. The other refs had no idea what that line judge was talking about either. IT was NOT* a First down.
At least the Browns got payback last night when not only did they DEFEAT the Steelers(I repeat for disbelievers, DEFEATED the Steelers), but also destroyed their playoff hopes in the process. Christmas came early for Cleveland.
at least one Ohio team can hand he Steelers their on asses HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH I THOUGHT THE STEELERS WERE GOLDEN GODS? As much as i hate those pieces of shit, i'll grive credit to Polamalu, he's a beast. GO BROWNS WE SHALL RETURN.
look at the angled hash mark beneath the refs foot. when viewed at an angle, there is a void between the ball and post. measurements must be taken PERPENDICULAR to the to ball.
to tell you the truth i really didnt know what to say about that but it does actually look like the camera angle could have been slightly to the right . look at the black post and imagine a vertical plane parallel to the yard line, it seems the nose of the ball is past it. it's very rare but it could be an issue of reference angle.
thank you! You are the 1st person I've seen that has said something about this crap. I don't think they even mentioned it on espn. This was just blatant cheating. Someone should've gotten fired.
lmfao @ somebody actually making a video and putting it on youtube, just to prove somebody wrong. A little too much time on your hands, huh? Stop caring what people think so much. People are going to have their own opinions either way you look at it. This was the retarded ass camera angles, and networks, fault. Which is very strange because usually every time you see them do a measurment the camera is always ALWAYS lined up to make it a perfect shot.
Looks like almost everybody in these comments has been wrong. Not only is it pole to pole, but it was an optical illusion and a first down. Lousy camera angle for a measurement, all anybody has to do is see the angle of that hashmark and then look at jennadd36's video showing the same illusion. First down, the right call.
i didnt see the game, but would this have made a difference at all? browns are suckin hard right now, doubt they would have won if they got this call for them.
Actually, I just finished reading the patent for the NFL's measuring chain. Patent US367859, patented July 25, 1972. (Invented by a guy named Paul C. Williamson, if you're really interested.) It indeed appears that YOU are the "idiot." Pole to pole.
What counts is the RED as marked on the chain. Think about it: The pole is merely a 'carrier' of the chain and a flagged beacon which can better be seen by fans in the stands. After all, the width of the pole, angle in which the pole is set, clasps and other hardware would throw off the mathematical "logic" of the chain linkage. It is safe to say, therefore, that the extent of RED CHAIN marks the ruling.
If you've got the balls to reply... at least have the balls to back up your disagreement with some counter-argument. Okay... you think I'm wrong. Why? You see, otherwise your reply comes across as "emotional" and "petulant" (I'll wait while you look those up).
Think you know the game of football? Then act like a BIG BOY and throw me a sound argument. If you can't hack it.... then just sit your pansy ass on the bench... keep to the sidelines... and stay out'a the goddamn game.
Very nice. And I stand neutralized. Thank you for pointing out all your other posts. My eyes fell only upon your specific response to me. So... while I still think I'm right.... you present a great argument and provide enough reference to validate your viewpoint. Nicely done. And I retract my spirited accusations. Translation: You kicked my ass on this one. HAHAHA. Peace.. LOL
I don't get what you are saying. You put a card inside and attached to the pole, as the beginning of THE POLE is the 10' foot marker. Optical illusion, it just may indeed have been a first down.
You Tube won't allow the posting of links, find the You Tube user jennad36, she posted a fantastic example of the optical illusion.
As a browns fan for life who is sick of excuses all i can say is does it really make a difference? When the whole team shows up to play they might win till then they mail it in and there loyal fans get to watch an inferior product act like they are pros while getting paid ungodly money that there fans can only dream about. But shell out 8 dollars a beer and ridiculous ticket prices to watch them play like bitches. I'm DONE . Get some pride CLEVELAND, YOU SUCK!!!! Work harder, play tougher, WIN
This shot is at an angle. Much like how I like taking Mrs. CMT from behind. If this was straight on you would see the first down. KraziJew browns FAIL!
On the news and radio today, I heard an interview with the man who was physically holding the first down marker side of the chain - a member of the actual chain gang. Anyway, he said that the ball was cleeeeearly behind the marker, AKA - SHORT OF A FIRST DOWN.
Also, according to NFL officials, it only "looked" like it was short because of, and I quote, "AN OPTICAL ILLUSION".
The call was blown and there is no doubt about it. We all know the Browns suck, but the call was definitely blown.
So, was Hartwig standing 2 feet from the stick and ball looking directly down the plane of the stick during the measurement? No. But there was someone in that position... referee Walt Anderson. And he says the ball broke the plane. Sure, it was close. But the guy who was closest said it was a first down. And his is the only opinion that matters. So clean the sand out of your vadge already. Pittsburgh dominated Cleveland in every stat except run backs that should have had a holding call.
First down. If you don't believe it, recreate the situation on your desk with a pen and something short and stubby, like your penis. Put the pen slightly to the side of the ball, but make it a close first down. Then lean back away from it, and it will look like inches-to-go. So stfu already and stop whining, it's pathetic. The refs are the least of Cleveland's woes. News flash - the Browns suck.
Typical Steeler fan, resorting to name calling/vulgarity to get a flawed point across. It's actually very similar to how neanderthals communicated.(For you Pittsburgh fans,"neanderthals" were early humans; you know, like the Geico cavemen on TV). Even Pittsburgh players said in post-game interviews that it was bogus. Don't tell me it didn't change the game. It would've been 14-14 after the Browns' 1st drive in 3rd quarter and Steeler/fans' pants around the country would have been turning brown!
Typical Browns fan, in complete denial. The ref was right on top of it. Out of everyone on planet Earth, he had the best look at it. So get over it already, it was a first down. Anyhow, look at the TD reception at 14:54 second period of the Bears-Falcons game, then look at the Hines Ward catch in the endzone. That TD catch should not have been overturned. Then look at the no call for holding during Cribbs' return. The refs gifted the Browns 14 points and we still kicked your asses. Eat it.
Base your perspective off of the yardmarker at the top of the screen. Our view is clearly from the side. When I first saw it I thought there had to be an explaination. But then again I am a Steelers fan lol
But come on Browns fans there is no way the official would make a call like that lol our view is just far to the right of the measurement.
you can't be a steeler fan you didn't call me ignorant names, but if you look at it from behind or in front of it looks closer not farther away so it had to be really bad at a 90 degree angle. cmon just admit it , i'm a raiders fan i know about getting the shaft from the refs
I'm sorry shooter I cant admit it because I dont believe it. I dont think me being a Steelers fan has anything to do with how I view the situation because any call such as this I would give the ref the benefit of the doubt and look to see why there was so much confusion over the call.
Are there other views of this measurement? I've only seen this one.
Ok if that was put up they you would see the ball completely hit the ground meaning it was incomplete. The rule is easy to understand even for Pittsburgh fans...the receiver must control the ball at all times during the catch. He hit the ground and so did the ball. Simple as that...and on Wards other touchdown how come no one wants to say anything about the WR pick allowing his to get the extra 30 yards and a TD? It all about Cribbs got a no call on a hold, the refs sucked all the way around.
Not like it was a game breaking call. They got a field goal out of it. The missed hold call on Cribb's TD run for their first score was much more important. The Browns would've lost either way.
The browns got screwed on that call, dont give me that bs about bad camera angles. Steelers always get things called their way, remember the phantom td by big ben in super bowl against Seattle.
Yo people. Its simple geometry. If the camera would have been perfectly perpendicular to the ball you would see that its a first down. But the camera angle was slightly to the right. Try it yourself at home. hold a pencil upright on a table to simulate the stick and place something behind it to siimulate the ball right to the point where they meet. Then slowly move your head to the right. You don't have to move far until you see space between the two.
how about the Def Coor standing right on the line...he saw it was short. Started commending his DEF...only to have the refs say '1st Down!'. Blame the camera all you want...but that wasnt a 1st down.
I don't disagree but there would not be that much space in between the pole and tip of the ball. A little yes but not an inch and a half. I mean what about the angle of the camera in Delhi Plaza when Kennedy was shot? That must be why his head went back and to the left from getting shot from behind the angle made his brains fly the wrong way. I mean even the offense thought is wasn't they were walking away. It was a shitty spot anyway I saw Ben stuffed in real time before any first down.
how the hell is that a bad angle? it's pretty much the same angle I've seen a measurement from a million times before. It's not like the Camera was in the 500 level.
so sick of you bitching ass steeler haters, you talked shit after they lost two games and your mad because your getting hit in the mouth, shut the fuck up!!!!!
WTF was that. So how much do we have to pay the refs to get home field advantage like that. And dylonus I will admit they are really good when they beat a good team they have 6W and those were against Detroit, Cleveland, San Diego, Panthers, and Bills wow what a tough schedule but o they got beat by the Redskins even Detroit beat them, and beat by the Bears and Bengals they cant handle a semi-good team they could never handle someone like New Orleans
It would surprise me if the refs aren't on a payroll, I really believe PATS refs are on the PATS payroll things like this happens in NE lots probably why NE & Tom Brady hasn't lost a home game sense 2006....
Nah, they wanted to either score or put it on their defense to stop the Browns from scoring. And if they got it they keep the ball in their hands and don't have to worry about Cribbs.
LOL Are you kidding? A connector and the stick short and the Ref calls first down? Now that's a home field advantage. Good luck Steelers, you need all of the help you can get! You beat the poor Browns, now step up and play a professional team like the COLTS! Oh, how I wish we played all of the teams in the AFC central! Wadda powerpuff division.
Ok, so they made a bad call on this and we got three points.
Where's the video of cribbs kickoff return for a TD? I want to point out the spot where you guys shouldve had a holding penalty to remove your one TD
regardless, the steelers walked all over the browns in this game. It was a bad call, and sorry it happened, but it had NO OUTCOME on the final score, i dont want to hear more shit about how the steelers "have the refs in there back pockets" man up and admit they are just that good
Ok then...lets go back to 2007 when Ben had those 3 3rd down conversion runs resulting in a touchdown late in the 4th to give them the victory. That ultimately knocked us out of the playoffs...each of those scrambles there were blatant holds in front of the refs...no one called shit. I mean the 3 points may not have mattered...but you still need to get the call right. Why are there refs, or replays, or rules if no one is going to follow them ESPECIALLY the refs.
I mean the Browns have been getting fucked since we left and came back, but Jesus Christ they are getting blatant. I mean the announcers are laughing about it and then on our one good play by Cribbs they point out all the missed calls what about all the holding on Ward's touchdown and the pick before he caught it which allowed him to score? Of course not it is much easier to kick a franchise when it is down. Read Terry Pluto's book for the truth. Pitts is not the best they are the luckiest.
Haha...Terry Pluto is another miserable Browns fan. He is just jealous that his crappy team cant compete. And get real Browns fans...this may not have been a first down, but please stop acting like this had a major effect on the game. You go home losers either way. Deal with it.
Regardless if you do not like the guy his book is full of facts that indicate the Browns getting a really shitty deal upon reentry to the league. I don't really like his column in the paper, but the book talked about things I never knew and opened my eyes to the bias in the NFL.
Anyone who truly thinks for themselves can see we got fucked in this deal see your just going on emotions and being a Steelers fan not on facts, history, and a thought process...I'll bet you probably voted for Obama huh?
(After Roethisberger is sacked twice by Browns) Announcer: "Wow! Ben Roethisberger is always willing to get dirty for his team. He is about as hard of a competitor as there has ever been on the field... etc" What the fuck?! He isn't... getting sacked and dirty for the sake of his team?? It's one thing to say that shit when he takes a hit diving for a 1st, but jesus christ, get off his fucking dick occasionally.
all you sissy browns fans should just accept the fact that it was a bad camera angle and take the lose like men, like that call was going to spark the browns offense, lets not forget that the steelers had a total yardage of 543 to the browns 197. HERE WE GO STEELERS!!
How could that be a bad camera angle? Was the so-called "field goal" vs Cinn. a bad angle too, because that never went in. If that was a good kick the ball would have caused part of the goal post to slightly disappear from sight. i watch it in slow motion 25 times every time it looks the same from the same angle. The ball must be as far as the pole on the chains. There was at least an inch of grass between the two. Bad angles dont add yellow poles and grass with a chain link. WE GOT FUCKED!!
Ugh I don't even watch NFL anymore because of those fucking cheaters. Its not a sport when they are involved since the refs are wearing the same color. Anytime there's a bad call it's in their favor say what you want but it's true. Coincident? Nah

i think this is a thing that has got to be adressed. there need to be cameras DIRECTLEY on the first down line at all times. so this mix up doesnt happen again. because clearly this ball is a first down. but you cannot see it based on this SHIT angle. i mean really. since when are field lines slanted?!? look at the field line and you can see that this is a bad angle. only the players on the field and the refs can really tell.
psheezybaby 2 years ago
i was at that game jackass, the steelers offense was walking off the field since they knew they didnt get the yardage. The other refs had no idea what that line judge was talking about either. IT was NOT* a First down.

look at the angled hash mark beneath the refs foot. when viewed at an angle, there is a void between the ball and post. measurements must be taken PERPENDICULAR to the to ball.
steelerfnjim 2 years ago
to tell you the truth i really didnt know what to say about that but it does actually look like the camera angle could have been slightly to the right . look at the black post and imagine a vertical plane parallel to the yard line, it seems the nose of the ball is past it. it's very rare but it could be an issue of reference angle.
steelerfnjim 2 years ago

Which is very strange because usually every time you see them do a measurment the camera is always ALWAYS lined up to make it a perfect shot.
josh03ohio 2 years ago
Yeah, looks like a bad call but drewgooden20 and jennadd36 are right. Hash mark is the giveaway.
Artemetra 2 years ago
Looks like almost everybody in these comments has been wrong. Not only is it pole to pole, but it was an optical illusion and a first down. Lousy camera angle for a measurement, all anybody has to do is see the angle of that hashmark and then look at jennadd36's video showing the same illusion. First down, the right call.
drewgooden20 2 years ago

u measure from the orange chain.
cameron9286 2 years ago
Actually, I just finished reading the patent for the NFL's measuring chain. Patent US367859, patented July 25, 1972. (Invented by a guy named Paul C. Williamson, if you're really interested.) It indeed appears that YOU are the "idiot." Pole to pole.
drewgooden20 2 years ago
Clevland is the asshole of america. Why wont it go away allready?
WrxSti04 2 years ago

If you can't hack it.... then just sit your pansy ass on the bench... keep to the sidelines... and stay out'a the goddamn game.

obviously, its by the length of chain. get over your self. browns are terrible
wesleyvb99 2 years ago
obviously your wrong it is not the length of chain it is the pole. At least you got one thing right the Browns are terrible
jyfh0852 2 years ago
the length of the CHAIN is 10 yards. not the pole included. the pole is just there to carry the chain. so YOU'RE** wrong.
wesleyvb99 2 years ago
and if you don't touch the pole you're obviously not at the end of the chain. You have never seen the refs use a card.
jyfh0852 2 years ago
first off, the ball will never come in contact with the pole. second, in the video the ball does appear to be past the length of the chain.
and no, ive never seen the refs use a card.
wesleyvb99 2 years ago
I don't get what you are saying. You put a card inside and attached to the pole, as the beginning of THE POLE is the 10' foot marker. Optical illusion, it just may indeed have been a first down.
You Tube won't allow the posting of links, find the You Tube user jennad36, she posted a fantastic example of the optical illusion.
drewgooden20 2 years ago
As a browns fan for life who is sick of excuses all i can say is does it really make a difference? I hate the steelers with every nerve in my body but this was just shot at an angle. Probably was the tiniest bit past the marker.
dr0be 2 years ago
lol a blown measurement is the least of your problems, browns fans.
jaysend13 2 years ago
This shot is at an angle. Much like how I like taking Mrs. CMT from behind. If this was straight on you would see the first down. KraziJew browns FAIL!
gutterlooj 2 years ago
On the news and radio today, I heard an interview with the man who was physically holding the first down marker side of the chain - a member of the actual chain gang. Anyway, he said that the ball was cleeeeearly behind the marker, AKA - SHORT OF A FIRST DOWN.
Also, according to NFL officials, it only "looked" like it was short because of, and I quote, "AN OPTICAL ILLUSION".
The call was blown and there is no doubt about it. We all know the Browns suck, but the call was definitely blown.
cecrok 2 years ago
SHORT
feetg10 2 years ago
Hey Squeeler fans your center Hartwig said today it wasn't a 1st down and he has no idea why the refs gave them a 1st down, but he will take it.
dagrabill68 2 years ago
So, was Hartwig standing 2 feet from the stick and ball looking directly down the plane of the stick during the measurement? No. But there was someone in that position... referee Walt Anderson. And he says the ball broke the plane. Sure, it was close. But the guy who was closest said it was a first down. And his is the only opinion that matters. So clean the sand out of your vadge already. Pittsburgh dominated Cleveland in every stat except run backs that should have had a holding call.
drunkdude69 2 years ago
News flash - the Browns suck.
drunkdude69 2 years ago
Typical Steeler fan, resorting to name calling/vulgarity to get a flawed point across. It's actually very similar to how neanderthals communicated.(For you Pittsburgh fans,"neanderthals" were early humans; you know, like the Geico cavemen on TV). Even Pittsburgh players said in post-game interviews that it was bogus. Don't tell me it didn't change the game. It would've been 14-14 after the Browns' 1st drive in 3rd quarter and Steeler/fans' pants around the country would have been turning brown!
KKoz91 2 years ago
Typical Browns fan, in complete denial. The ref was right on top of it. Out of everyone on planet Earth, he had the best look at it. So get over it already, it was a first down. Anyhow, look at the TD reception at 14:54 second period of the Bears-Falcons game, then look at the Hines Ward catch in the endzone. That TD catch should not have been overturned. Then look at the no call for holding during Cribbs' return. The refs gifted the Browns 14 points and we still kicked your asses. Eat it.
drunkdude69 2 years ago
you must be drunk. The Steelers players are saying it wasn't a 1st down. I guess you know more than they do, right?

shooter541x 2 years ago 2
Base your perspective off of the yardmarker at the top of the screen. Our view is clearly from the side. When I first saw it I thought there had to be an explaination. But then again I am a Steelers fan lol
But come on Browns fans there is no way the official would make a call like that lol our view is just far to the right of the measurement.
RobbyRichards 2 years ago
you can't be a steeler fan you didn't call me ignorant names, but if you look at it from behind or in front of it looks closer not farther away so it had to be really bad at a 90 degree angle. cmon just admit it , i'm a raiders fan i know about getting the shaft from the refs
shooter541x 2 years ago
I'm sorry shooter I cant admit it because I dont believe it. I dont think me being a Steelers fan has anything to do with how I view the situation because any call such as this I would give the ref the benefit of the doubt and look to see why there was so much confusion over the call.
Are there other views of this measurement? I've only seen this one.
RobbyRichards 2 years ago
the browns have to beat the refs and the other team
Nas49Razing 2 years ago
i was listening to the game when this took place. Actually that was a bad ball placement by the refs. So it was in fact a firstdown.
Why dont u post the video of hines wards TD that got overturned?
btpeachey 2 years ago
Ok if that was put up they you would see the ball completely hit the ground meaning it was incomplete. The rule is easy to understand even for Pittsburgh fans...the receiver must control the ball at all times during the catch. He hit the ground and so did the ball. Simple as that...and on Wards other touchdown how come no one wants to say anything about the WR pick allowing his to get the extra 30 yards and a TD? It all about Cribbs got a no call on a hold, the refs sucked all the way around.
doubleglock187 2 years ago
Not like it was a game breaking call. They got a field goal out of it. The missed hold call on Cribb's TD run for their first score was much more important. The Browns would've lost either way.
Paul2337 2 years ago
Browns got screwed, like the steelers need help from the refs beating us
DomenicSinatra 2 years ago
The browns got screwed on that call, dont give me that bs about bad camera angles. Steelers always get things called their way, remember the phantom td by big ben in super bowl against Seattle.
mmikovich 2 years ago
Well, Fuck the steelers. They suck off the refs before each game to guarantee a win.
Facless55 2 years ago
You don't have to move far until you see space between the two.
used4utube 2 years ago
hahahah camera angle... hilarious... wasnt even close... even the steelers are saying it was a bad call.. idiots.....
kevrock029 2 years ago
how about the Def Coor standing right on the line...he saw it was short. Started commending his DEF...only to have the refs say '1st Down!'. Blame the camera all you want...but that wasnt a 1st down.
Bigmofo300lbs 2 years ago
I don't disagree but there would not be that much space in between the pole and tip of the ball. A little yes but not an inch and a half. I mean what about the angle of the camera in Delhi Plaza when Kennedy was shot? That must be why his head went back and to the left from getting shot from behind the angle made his brains fly the wrong way. I mean even the offense thought is wasn't they were walking away. It was a shitty spot anyway I saw Ben stuffed in real time before any first down.
doubleglock187 2 years ago
how the hell is that a bad angle? it's pretty much the same angle I've seen a measurement from a million times before. It's not like the Camera was in the 500 level.

davidfair2009 2 years ago
I don't see how it could have been a bad angle, considering how the Browns' sideline reacted..
The refs made up for it with the horrible call on he Ward 5th down TD. But that also could have been due to one of the NFL's ridiculous rules.
Something wasn't right here, but it didn't impact the Browns continued poor tackling and questionable offensive calls.
But at least we scored an offensive TD!
I just hope we win a few more before Cribbs gets a staph infection or gets traded,
StaringAt 2 years ago
Obviously just a bad angle, LOL
ConservativeTimes 2 years ago
Since the NFL has turned into Big Time Wrestling at its best we can only hope that the Browns will eventually get to be "scripted" to win some games.
slittle1959 2 years ago
I even included preseason to help them out on some wins. Because in regular they only have 4.
glendenning06 2 years ago
WTF was that. So how much do we have to pay the refs to get home field advantage like that. And dylonus I will admit they are really good when they beat a good team they have 6W and those were against Detroit, Cleveland, San Diego, Panthers, and Bills wow what a tough schedule but o they got beat by the Redskins even Detroit beat them, and beat by the Bears and Bengals they cant handle a semi-good team they could never handle someone like New Orleans

ya and what makes that even more strange is that they went for it on forth down with only 30 seconds left and already in great field goal range.....
GarageDoor18 2 years ago

zkusa 2 years ago
Ok, so they made a bad call on this and we got three points.
Where's the video of cribbs kickoff return for a TD? I want to point out the spot where you guys shouldve had a holding penalty to remove your one TD
regardless, the steelers walked all over the browns in this game. It was a bad call, and sorry it happened, but it had NO OUTCOME on the final score, i dont want to hear more shit about how the steelers "have the refs in there back pockets" man up and admit they are just that good
Dylonus 2 years ago
Ok then...lets go back to 2007 when Ben had those 3 3rd down conversion runs resulting in a touchdown late in the 4th to give them the victory. That ultimately knocked us out of the playoffs...each of those scrambles there were blatant holds in front of the refs...no one called shit. I mean the 3 points may not have mattered...but you still need to get the call right. Why are there refs, or replays, or rules if no one is going to follow them ESPECIALLY the refs.
doubleglock187 2 years ago
UNBELIEVABLE, smacks of the florida gayors game last night
pureairusa 2 years ago
I mean the Browns have been getting fucked since we left and came back, but Jesus Christ they are getting blatant. I mean the announcers are laughing about it and then on our one good play by Cribbs they point out all the missed calls what about all the holding on Ward's touchdown and the pick before he caught it which allowed him to score? Of course not it is much easier to kick a franchise when it is down. Read Terry Pluto's book for the truth. Pitts is not the best they are the luckiest.
doubleglock187 2 years ago
Haha...Terry Pluto is another miserable Browns fan. He is just jealous that his crappy team cant compete. And get real Browns fans...this may not have been a first down, but please stop acting like this had a major effect on the game. You go home losers either way. Deal with it.
MiztaBlu 2 years ago
Regardless if you do not like the guy his book is full of facts that indicate the Browns getting a really shitty deal upon reentry to the league. I don't really like his column in the paper, but the book talked about things I never knew and opened my eyes to the bias in the NFL.
Anyone who truly thinks for themselves can see we got fucked in this deal see your just going on emotions and being a Steelers fan not on facts, history, and a thought process...I'll bet you probably voted for Obama huh?

It's one thing to say that shit when he takes a hit diving for a 1st, but jesus christ, get off his fucking dick occasionally.

all you sissy browns fans should just accept the fact that it was a bad camera angle and take the lose like men, like that call was going to spark the browns offense, lets not forget that the steelers had a total yardage of 543 to the browns 197. HERE WE GO STEELERS!!
benjoegreen 2 years ago
How could that be a bad camera angle? Was the so-called "field goal" vs Cinn. a bad angle too, because that never went in. If that was a good kick the ball would have caused part of the goal post to slightly disappear from sight. i watch it in slow motion 25 times every time it looks the same from the same angle. The ball must be as far as the pole on the chains. There was at least an inch of grass between the two. Bad angles dont add yellow poles and grass with a chain link. WE GOT FUCKED!!
