my daughter is 25 she has angelsman, she was obssessed with plastic, she used to take a piece of plastic bag to bed for years, it was the only way she settled. We had to take it away cause she was eating it likewise plastic nappies.Wakening up to bed of snow and plastic not good.We had to use towelling at night. She still mourns her tesco bags xxxx
My daughter also has angelmann, she is chewing on her bottle since she was young.. Its something she NEEDS.. not to explain.. without botlle goes nothing, she learns and develops throuhg the bottle.. So I really recognize the pacifier story! keep up the good work Proud @ you people! and ofcourse most proud @ your beautifull girl! (and my own angel ofcourse) These children are soooo special! I cherish mine! And I can see you are really cherrising your girl too! Big Hug from the Netherlands!
I'm doing a a science report on angelman syndrome and realized that this disease truly changes lives. Your daughter is beautiful, good luck and God bless!
She's really cute! And don't think I'm some pollyanna happy-all-the-time person. I'm not. But just looking at her - syndrome or not - you can tell she has a LOT of positivity and love in her. That's really great. : )
This really seems characteristic of Bethany my daughter. She likes textures, her tongue often protrudes, she smiles and laughs a lot. Very similiar although according to genetic testing it has been rules out as of now. Looks very similiar to my Beth though. Beautiful girl!
one of the children i take care of at work has angelman syndrome....she likes to chew on her shirts..so we give her baby blankets instead so she doesnt ruin her clothes:)
You can ask these kids have like oral stimulation so they love to chew on stuff or have stuff in thier mouths. Meggers doesn't really use a pacifer any longer but still loves to chew so we've tried to find other appropriate stuff. Thanks for the comments....we feel very blessed to have this child. She is the lite in our lives!!
Your daughter is beautiful!! We too have an angel that we love very much. She is 4 and will be attending the walk in Columbia SC on May 16th. Please check out our slide show at Brooklynn's Buddies Angelman Syndrome Walkathon 2009. Good Luck with your donations and GOD BLESS!!
