never seen or heard of this breed before. i keep bullterriers at the moment and noticed the father is similar in facial features. are these a mix of bull mastiff too?? how long has this breed been around? or is this a new hybrid? nice to see the effort you put in with your pups aswell.

@101BOLTS hi thank you for your post. what are you compareing them to? my breeding is to produce aseel style dogs actually the tail length and style is a positive in the pups. pink on the nose is common in white pups some will turn black as they grow my female from xenas litter has a black nose now part pink nose is common in white aseel pups. it would be nice for you to send a video response with some comparison. i personally think these two breedings are showing strong aseel features true type

@101BOLTS be sure that with every litter produced we are getting very very close to the original profile waite till you see penny that i picked from the last breeding you will be amazed at the tail lenght gait and eye set lose neck skin. to say abu has gull terr blood in him to me is more thank funny remember i owned max so i have first hand exsperiance with the gull terr and i am very sure that is not the case. really would like to see some of the types you have exsperiance with need good dogs

@101BOLTS aaah dont be confused dude young pups can have pink noses they will change as the get older it is very very common in white and pure white pups go back and look at abu and bambis litter you will see that the noses are black or turning black cant say for sure at what age this happens but many pups will get black noses by 12 weeks my penny the female from real deal her nose is black now. upload some examples lets see and compare also have a look at the pups and see first hand

@101BOLTS Bully kuttas arnt suposed to have pink noses. In the last 17 years i havent seen one with a pink nose. A pink nose indicates a mix of a gulltair ( Pakistani bull terrier) in one of the parents or grand parents.
@oblivious10011 white especially pups will show pink noses actually the female picked from abu and xenas breeding her nose has now gone black its like the spots on the skin are not apparent at birt but start to develope around 4 months old.
@101BOLTS Bully Kuttas do have pink spots on their noses but predominently the noses should be black. As the pups grow up the black colour will increase and the pink will go lesser snd lesser.

But if "oblivious" is correct, and even old type bully (during brittish time in PK & right after) contains some bullterrier blood, then red nose can be explained as retroactive gene...but also can be more recent mix. Who can really know??
@ExclusiveCQD to me it can be a recent mix .... y ? reason is recent mixes show up that quick or easy ... like if u mix a gullter in bullys ull see much of his blood in pups then in next few generations the traits will start vanishing .... its just like i cant get alaunts characters in access in my pups now because they are being introduced to my bullys NOW ....

@101BOLTS buddy I respect your observation and opinion, obviously you have observed all these pups closely and you are asking these critical questions with the purpose of educating people abt the aseel type Bully Kutta. It is true that pink noses in a Bully Kutta indicate a mixture of Gultair blood in them. As far as my limited knowledge is concerned the BullyKutta was bred for 2 purposes, hunting and fighting.
@101BOLTS There is not a single fighting breed in the worl which dosnt have Bull Terrier blood in them, that is where the resilience and the fight in the dogs comes from. The Pakistani Gulltair is closely related to the old English Hinks Bull terrier, so obviously at one pint of time these 2 breeds must have crossed paths, that is my explaination of the pink spots on the noses of some of the Bully Kuttas.
@oblivious10011 Interesting discussion and I have few questions. When you mention Purest Bully Kutta - what you mean by that? There are few theories about BK history and one, preferred by brittish, is that BK is a mix between several brittish fighting breeds with domestic dogs/mastiff. If that theory is correct, how can we speak about any purity? If not, then pakistani theory that BK as domestic mastiff, how can we understand pure from unpure blood? There is lots of diversity.
@ExclusiveCQD I personally think that the theory abt the Bully Kutta (the dogs we see today) being a result of mixing of diff dog breeds brought y the British into the local dogs is correct. There is no solid proof of thses dogs being used as fighting dogs in the indopak region before the British took over.
@oblivious10011 You are wrong buddy, I seen the proof that domestic folks had fighting dogs & fighting tradition with all kind of animals vs dogs :-) I had read it in one old brittish book. So, you had 4 sure your own fighting mastiff there. But if you ask me if those BK today are pure, without any % of brittish influence, I have to say I doubt that since pakistanis not value "purebreed" as a term. They breed for performance, they will cross it if need it. Thats a fact.

Other dog breeds are also used for animal baiting.

Anyway, Sir John Hubert Marshall was the Director-General of the Archaeological Survey of India from 1902 to 1928. He was responsible for the excavation that led to the discovery of Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro. He was elected as the Fellow of the British Academy and knighted in 1914. This is what he writes in his Book Mohenjo-Daro and the Indus Civilization:

@ExclusiveCQD Buddy as you said it was written in the book you read that a Boar was bitten to death by 3-4 dogs meaning the breed Sir John Hubert Marshall was refering to in his book was not a pure fighting breed it was a pack hunting dog. Pack hunters are not pure fighting breeds they are not very dog agressive ,meaning they move in a pack. We cant do that with the Bully Kutta, a bully kutta would first finish off the other dog before going after the boar itself.A dogo is a pack hunter.

I think he said NASRRI was domestic name for that big black hound. @ExclusiveCQD All the pure fighting breeds we see today, the English Bull terrier (the gladiator), Tosa ( the power house), persa ( the warrior) and the most well known fighting breed THE AMERICAN PIT BULL all are mixture of different dog breeds brought together from different parts of the world, having influence of British breeds. We see them as pure breeds today because the breed was standardised. That is what Ben is trying to do with the Bully Kutta.
@oblivious10011 Gamebreed Pit Bull is not standardised. They can be 28 lbs to 60 lbs, they are breed to perform, not to look alike. Same with Bullys, only with diference that in PK people still introducing foreign blood into bullys, while pit bull is "pure" for over 150 years. First, I want to learn all about Original/old form bully, I know I will need time to catch all details from old PK folks, but I will do it.And btw, I don't think original bully have gullterr blood in it.

@ExclusiveCQD britishers have gone to great lenghts in documenting the local flora and fauna of the area when it was under the British influence in the books written by various british authors abt the area. In none of the books a breed named Bully Kutta has been mentioned. Punjabi is a very old language in the area if the breed name was derived fom the word BOHLI meaning heavily wrinkled it would have been mentioned if the breed was existing before the British takeover of Indopak.
@oblivious10011 In any case "heavily wrinkled" is not trait of gullterrs, more of some kind of mastiffs of that time there...thats why I think there is no any or no much of gullterr in original form - and I must say under original form I will consider also period when brittish left. Do you know why? Because whatewer they put back then into the domestic dog, it was great & healthy genetic for sure. I am trying to awoid "new western" blood introduced to BK in last 20-30 yrs...

Great dogs & great owners, guys you need to understand very few know about this breed & u will always have haters. That Dog "Abu" is a dream dog for most of us. He has the height, color, & his head WOW & that extra dewlap is the icing on the cake.
If anyone has doubts on any dog you will see this in their offspring, and so far all is gooood :-)

@101BOLTS hi thank you for your post. what are you compareing them to? my breeding is to produce aseel style dogs actually the tail length and style is a positive in the pups. pink on the nose is common in white pups some will turn black as they grow my female from xenas litter has a black nose now part pink nose is common in white aseel pups. it would be nice for you to send a video response with some comparison. i personally think these two breedings are showing strong aseel features true type

@101BOLTS be sure that with every litter produced we are getting very very close to the original profile waite till you see penny that i picked from the last breeding you will be amazed at the tail lenght gait and eye set lose neck skin. to say abu has gull terr blood in him to me is more thank funny remember i owned max so i have first hand exsperiance with the gull terr and i am very sure that is not the case. really would like to see some of the types you have exsperiance with need good dogs

@101BOLTS aaah dont be confused dude young pups can have pink noses they will change as the get older it is very very common in white and pure white pups go back and look at abu and bambis litter you will see that the noses are black or turning black cant say for sure at what age this happens but many pups will get black noses by 12 weeks my penny the female from real deal her nose is black now. upload some examples lets see and compare also have a look at the pups and see first hand

@poochdvd Hi buddy, finaly interesting discussion."MY vision may not be the same as YOURS or OTHERS and that's fine with me"- I don't think we creating a NEW breed here so we can use OUR visions of a true BK.We should find out HOW the real or typical BK should look alike.My opinion is that we can't do it without knowledge from PK, from people who live with those dogs, not just one or few guys, but more.If we start to create BK by OUR vision, it won't be BK anymore, but our product!

@ExclusiveCQD interestin discussion but seriously listen to some of the rubbish spoken. my vision is my vision i have realised that especially in this breed have a plan and be confident too many directions and any good chef knows too many hands in the pot is not good there are exsperts in PK but again temperament is another issue myself and Asad have very similar goals and we are lucky to have each other. i am not going to be de railed anymore the jurney will speak for itself.

@101BOLTS now let me correct your info , yasir khan is faisal khans younger brother they r not separate dog breeders. in fact they r not even dog breeders, they keep dogs to fight them and discard those poor dogs when they r done with them , so mentioning them in a dog breeders discussion is irrelevant.if you want to quote someone as an example quote a real dog breeder.

@101BOLTS Bully kuttas arnt suposed to have pink noses. In the last 17 years i havent seen one with a pink nose. A pink nose indicates a mix of a gulltair ( Pakistani bull terrier) in one of the parents or grand parents.

@oblivious10011 white especially pups will show pink noses actually the female picked from abu and xenas breeding her nose has now gone black its like the spots on the skin are not apparent at birt but start to develope around 4 months old.

@101BOLTS Bully Kuttas do have pink spots on their noses but predominently the noses should be black. As the pups grow up the black colour will increase and the pink will go lesser snd lesser.

But if "oblivious" is correct, and even old type bully (during brittish time in PK & right after) contains some bullterrier blood, then red nose can be explained as retroactive gene...but also can be more recent mix. Who can really know??

@101BOLTS But speaking of Abu man, I am not convinced in your thoughts...he don't look not even close to a gullterr, he is tall, have big dewlap, looks very bully to me. I seen Ben's Max, not sure if he was gullterr or gullterr mix, but it was obvious that he was a terrier. Abu have mastiff walk/movement, not terrier movement at all. That pink nose in some offspring must have some other explanation.

@101BOLTS buddy I respect your observation and opinion, obviously you have observed all these pups closely and you are asking these critical questions with the purpose of educating people abt the aseel type Bully Kutta. It is true that pink noses in a Bully Kutta indicate a mixture of Gultair blood in them. As far as my limited knowledge is concerned the BullyKutta was bred for 2 purposes, hunting and fighting.

@101BOLTS There is not a single fighting breed in the worl which dosnt have Bull Terrier blood in them, that is where the resilience and the fight in the dogs comes from. The Pakistani Gulltair is closely related to the old English Hinks Bull terrier, so obviously at one pint of time these 2 breeds must have crossed paths, that is my explaination of the pink spots on the noses of some of the Bully Kuttas.

@oblivious10011 Interesting discussion and I have few questions. When you mention Purest Bully Kutta - what you mean by that? There are few theories about BK history and one, preferred by brittish, is that BK is a mix between several brittish fighting breeds with domestic dogs/mastiff. If that theory is correct, how can we speak about any purity? If not, then pakistani theory that BK as domestic mastiff, how can we understand pure from unpure blood? There is lots of diversity.

@ExclusiveCQD I personally think that the theory abt the Bully Kutta (the dogs we see today) being a result of mixing of diff dog breeds brought y the British into the local dogs is correct. There is no solid proof of thses dogs being used as fighting dogs in the indopak region before the British took over.

@oblivious10011 You are wrong buddy, I seen the proof that domestic folks had fighting dogs & fighting tradition with all kind of animals vs dogs :-) I had read it in one old brittish book. So, you had 4 sure your own fighting mastiff there. But if you ask me if those BK today are pure, without any % of brittish influence, I have to say I doubt that since pakistanis not value "purebreed" as a term. They breed for performance, they will cross it if need it. Thats a fact.

@ExclusiveCQD I would surely like to see proof of dog fighting in Indopak before the British took over. As far as my knowledge is concerned the local mastiffs were used for big game hunting in the Moughal times and all activities contrary to Islamic Traditions were strictly banned . one more thing i would like to add is that for animal baiting its not only the fighting breeds that are used. Other dog breeds are also used for animal baiting.

Anyway, Sir John Hubert Marshall was the Director-General of the Archaeological Survey of India from 1902 to 1928. He was responsible for the excavation that led to the discovery of Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro. He was elected as the Fellow of the British Academy and knighted in 1914. @oblivious10011 I can't copy paste from scanned page, but basicly he say from those excavation - there was a exceptional mastiff like dog, almost exactly resembles of the English Mastiff of to-day( written early 20th cent.), who's place of origin is unknown at present time.Very similar type of dog I seen in Sind for worrying boar, the unfortunate quarry being tied up and biten to death by 3-4 dogs.This was very ancient practice known in Elam too...there not tied up boars...etc

@ExclusiveCQD Buddy as you said it was written in the book you read that a Boar was bitten to death by 3-4 dogs meaning the breed Sir John Hubert Marshall was refering to in his book was not a pure fighting breed it was a pack hunting dog. Pack hunters are not pure fighting breeds they are not very dog agressive ,meaning they move in a pack. We cant do that with the Bully Kutta, a bully kutta would first finish off the other dog before going after the boar itself.A dogo is a pack hunter.

@oblivious10011 Yes buddy, we share same thoughts about that. Mr Qayyum told me he know in his region there was big hunting dog in begining of 20th century, great hound, but not for fighting. I think he said NASRRI was domestic name for that big black hound. We can just guess what hapend back then, we can't help it...but we can be carefull not to standardise some modern mutt as true bully kutta LOL

@ExclusiveCQD All the pure fighting breeds we see today, the English Bull terrier (the gladiator), Tosa ( the power house), persa ( the warrior) and the most well known fighting breed THE AMERICAN PIT BULL all are mixture of different dog breeds brought together from different parts of the world, having influence of British breeds. We see them as pure breeds today because the breed was standardised. That is what Ben is trying to do with the Bully Kutta.

@oblivious10011 Gamebreed Pit Bull is not standardised. They can be 28 lbs to 60 lbs, they are breed to perform, not to look alike. Same with Bullys, only with diference that in PK people still introducing foreign blood into bullys, while pit bull is "pure" for over 150 years. First, I want to learn all about Original/old form bully, I know I will need time to catch all details from old PK folks, but I will do it.And btw, I don't think original bully have gullterr blood in it.

@ExclusiveCQD britishers have gone to great lenghts in documenting the local flora and fauna of the area when it was under the British influence in the books written by various british authors abt the area. In none of the books a breed named Bully Kutta has been mentioned. Punjabi is a very old language in the area if the breed name was derived fom the word BOHLI meaning heavily wrinkled it would have been mentioned if the breed was existing before the British takeover of Indopak.

@oblivious10011 In any case "heavily wrinkled" is not trait of gullterrs, more of some kind of mastiffs of that time there...thats why I think there is no any or no much of gullterr in original form - and I must say under original form I will consider also period when brittish left. Do you know why? Because whatewer they put back then into the domestic dog, it was great & healthy genetic for sure. I am trying to awoid "new western" blood introduced to BK in last 20-30 yrs...
