  • thats inspiration right there

  • @tml4lyfe13 for a nigger in the slums

  • He's very well-spoken.

  • @TheSletourneau for a nigger

  • Olympic Gold for basketball something Canada will never sniff.

  • i love how he always refers himself in the third person

  • lebron james is a superstar

  • Money isn't always the epitome of success. If he doesn't keep his money straight and loses it, is he still successful? Perhaps, if he has a good career then he's a successful NBA player. But he's just another dude with a high school degree with no trade to fall back on.

P.S. George is the worst interviewer, ever.

  • @jefferygwatkins George is the worst?! Buahahaha, have you seen (or heard) Fox News, Jay Leno, Craig Kilborn, MTV, MuchMusic, Michael Parkinson, Jimmy Fallon, Chelsea Handler, Howard Stern, Bill O'Reilly... George isn't the greatest, but compared to these examples he looks like an interview genius.

  • @HeyPoi Some of your examples are terrible illustrations of a bad interview because they're not as bad as this.

  • @jefferygwatkins <- this guy can't take intelligent interviews.

  • @TheNuvoice Listen Novice, if this is an intelligent conversation for you, perhaps you should have moved beyond a 13-year-old's understanding of the world. There is very little substantive and/or intelligent to this conversation.

  • @jefferygwatkins Most interviews consist of regurgitated crap about things simple minded people like yourself think matter, meanwhile George actually asks questions that - many of the people he interviews have to stop and say "Wow, that's a good question". You should look through many of the interviews he does, perhaps you're just a pompous ass who watched one of his interviews and generalized his entire career as an interviewer from one single interview.

  • @TheNuvoice An interview consisting of new information being passed onto the reader/viewer is good. Perhaps George does ask atypical questions to most. I did not feel, however, this was the case with Lebron. Furthermore, my critique was addressing the "success" of a guy with only has a high school education. I only added the bit about George as a secondary thought because it really didn't pertain to the topic of Lebron. I watched more of his interviews, though, they're all pretty vapidly basic.

  • @jefferygwatkins Everyone has an opinion but if you honestly think he is "the worst interviewer ever" compared the crap the states sends out than your opinion is bullshit, no thesaurus can help you out with that. Maybe you should go stick to some Inside the actors studio interviews.

  • @TheNuvoice Contradiction is your only friend. One cannot be allowed to have an opinion but it be invalidated because you simply render it under the subjective nature of interpretation. You can disagree, but that doesn't make my thoughts any less cogent because it differs from your opinion.

    argumentum ad ignorantiam

  • "We all go" to play on that other team. My friend wanted to play there... sound familiar?

  • It's almost funny to me that this interview starts on the theme of loyalty, progresses to him talking about dropping his agent for business reasons, and then... well... we all know how things moved south... literally:P

  • too funny when he say he got the gold back home and there is silence. It's Canada bud, no one cares about all the gold usa has

  • oh my god, commercials on youtube ?????? NOOOOOOOOO

  • lebron n chris ha

  • LeBron James is a fucking asshole, I lost all respect for him since that bullshit "The Decision" crap, he has been pissing me off more and more

  • @TUdaToken

    get over it... honestly

  • @JW2K3 no man, look what Cleveland has become since he left, that city doesn't deserve any more sports torture

  • @TUdaToken

lol .... you must be from cleveland then. w/e man hate all you want but the only way the city of Cleveland will succeed is if they overcome this. yall niggas acting like Lebron is God or something .... GET OVER IT

  • @JW2K3 actually I'm not, I'm from Detroit, I just hate seeing a team that has had no luck or good history and that has a great chance to finally succeed at something that they've been waiting so desperately for and then to swipe them away like this, well for Clevelanders, he was their god from their homeland, how would u feel if your hometown team lost a hometown player that turned your franchise around and then just left u, that's something many NBA fans and especially Clevlanders can't

  • @TUdaToken K well thats just so maturity. Lebron had every right to leave, its THE WAY HE DID IT, that was wrong. At the end of the day, Lebron is still the best player in the league and hes doing his thing.

I dont know... thats just me though its basketball, its not the end of the world

  • @JW2K3 well that's the main reason why I don't like him anymore, HOW HE DID IT you know, and yes I can agree he's one of the top 3 players in the league, I'm not denying his skill. I still would've liked him to leave when he was in his 30's, it wouldn't have been as frustrating or terrible for Cavs fans, u know they would understand after all those years he worked for the team and he demanded a trade, Cavs fans would've been like "alright go, u did all u could do"

  • How about they try to understand him that they only won 17 games b4 he got there and the man takes u literally to an NBA finals by himself basically then the two seasons before he leaves he wins MVP and has 2 60+ winning seasons including going 66-16 in 08 and once he gets to the playoffs he steps his game up but where was his help and he basically said he doesnt want to be 35 with bad knees and no rings he went to Miami and now if he doesnt win rings he can say at least he gave it his best shot

  • Better than Kobe Bryant I think you can do that. lol

  • Christ on a crutch Lebron is huge.

  • lebron use to be hot...........than he let his hair grow OUT OF CONTROLL :( ):

  • lebron will never be as great as kobe

  • @BlackOnBlueSilver neither will you who cares

  • @n3oSerious you do apparently

  • lebron is a cool cat, i would let him hang out with me and the boys i guess!! lol

  • thats one cool smart intelligent son of a gun

  • 6:58 he says Bass Ball.

  • firstly no he doesn't... secondly wtf makes you think any1 will actually care about that

  • Basketball has three syllables. If you hear him say three syllables then you need to take LeBrons dick out of your ear, get up from your knees, get a q-tip, and then listen to it again. I know he says Bass Ball, he says it all the time in interviews because he speaks lazily. I'm a fan of his game, it just irks me to hear him constantly mispronounce the most important thing in his life. I gave you a thumbs down too, now we're even.

  • thats easly the saddest comment ive ever read

  • I will apologize because I just gained a lot of respect for you. I was expecting you to type a bunch of four letter words with the capslock to indicate you were yelling like every other Youtuber. You are obviously well educated to take the high road. I am still convinced he says Bass Ball but I was wrong for insulting you. Why couldn't you have just said fuck you? Go Magic, maybe Orlando will get LeBron next year and shock everyone. He could play Bass Ball for the Magic anyday. Peace out.

  • i would love lebron to play bass ball for the magic lol

  • Damn, now I feel really bad. I acted like a jerk to someone who is well educated AND a Magic fan. The world needs more people like you. Most people on the internet talk lots of shit cuz they know they will never come face to face with anyone. You impressed me by being different. You never know, Otis Smith might pull off something crazy this offseason. I'm still not over losing Courtney Lee though. He had the nastiest dunk in the Finals, it's a good one to youtube if you're bored.

  • lebron seems Very calm n humble, he's a good guy! i thought he'd be all big headed!

  • He tattooed "The Chosen One" on his back. He's not humble at all. He's just very smart not to appear cocky or big headed in interviews.

  • he is big headed!!! he is so arrogant...just watch how he danced while blowing out the bulls...he think that he owns everybody and he just doesnt show any class at all!!!

and then when he got blown out by the orlando magic in the 09 playoffs he refused to shake anybodys hand and just went off the court!!

he is smart and a good basketball player but did MJ ever do such things...guess not!

this guy just doesnt show any class to the game!!!

  • @aary1989 lebron james is capricorn with aries moon like al capone and howard stern. not all of them(cap/aries combo) are bad ppl but he has a superiority/inferiority primadonna complex lol.

  • @PanayotiProductions

so you take his zodiac signs as an excuse for bad behaviour and bad ass arrogant thinking??

    please...

  • i wish he could become muslim because i like him. But i didnt like him yelling at his mother even though its not my biznis. becaue mothers are the reason for us being where we r now.

  • nah hes not stupid enough to become a muslim

  • @cooleb RACIST!

  • @afgmillionaire I'm not racist, I'm not discriminating any race

  • Bro no one beats John 'short shorts' Stockton. Dat niggah is fukin ballin'

  • no doubt lebron james the best nba player today

  • seems like a chill dude, you cant compare them (LeBron and Micheal), different time different teams, differnr players simple as that

  • He can never have the same tenasity as Jordan did because the NBA is just different. More foul calls, less tolerance on trash talk, etc. That stuff toughned up those old school dudes like jordan, pippen, reggie miller, karl malone etc. He'll be great, but MJ was RUTHLESS! And also, Lebron doesn't have a Pippen, a brother in arms...

  • He has Shaq lmfao

  • Lebron is bigger, stronger and faster than Jordan and I'm pretty sure he jumps higher. I don't know who's better though all around.

I still think Larry Bird is the greatest player in history.

I'm just a stupid white kid from Utah, what the fuck do I know.

  • u from Utah? John 'short shorts' Stockton is da tru niggah champ, hero for Utah!

  • im a laker fan but i still like lebron james hes da future of da nba him nd d-wade

  • yeh but that doesnt mean anything cus in 10 yrs theres gonna be the next future star of the nba and on and on etc. so if u gonna like players cus they are the future then whats the difference between u and the bandwagoners? i always stay with the one i chose once, doesnt matter how old hes become.

  • hate people who hate on him, they just blindy talk down on him shows plain arrogance he is a class act and a gentleman big up To Lebron

  • he just acts that way because of Nike. His body is owned by Nike.

  • Hes Better Than Jordan Was After 6 Years In The NBA

  • What an awesome guy. Always had respect for LeBron the basketballer since he hit the NBA, but he seems like such a great guy, too.

  • Total gentleman.

  • LEBRON JAMES = CLASS ACT

    RESPECT.

  • hahahaha

  • The fact that he is not a spoilt brat, not giving a fuck, not speaking like he is better than everyone else is the most respectfull thing about him...I hate the way everyone goes on about him,and how they compare him to MJ,and that he plays for the Cavaliers(pure jealousy that last one,Bulls fan....)but I do respect HIM for being a serious guy.....

  • lol ofcourse they would show Lebron Killing the Raptors

  • education?

to many college drop-out millionaires to name, he was smart and skipped because he had the opportunity.

Faulting successful people for succeeding sounds like jealousy, because sometimes the ends do justify the means

  • @Sorcoral well said. personallyi really dont bother arguing with people who overvalue getting a degree rather than gaining actual skills that will help you make money. heck , even i can get wasted nightly for 4 years while cheating on every test and get that oh so elusive degree

  • @swaggerzilla14

    Good luck on essay exams

  • Lebron James is getting a first class education living the life that he's leading. I'm a few months shy of graduating with my BA and I will never see or experience the amount of things that Lebron James will encounter in his lifetime. Defining education as attending a post-secondary institution is extremely limiting. There are people that waste away their college years and there are high school graduates or even dropouts that devour books, travel, and lead intellectually stimulating lifestyles.

  • Very well put... I totally agree, traditional education is not for everybody. I can speak for a lot of people when I say that I learned far more out of school than I did in an actual classroom setting. I am about to start my second and third businesses since graduating from high school in 2007. I guess it all depends on the person and if they can handle self-education.

  • Comment removed

  • He loves basketball and he makes more in a year doing it than you will in your lifetime, stop hating.

  • more than you too

  • I'm not the one hating on him.

  • Who cares about education in his case.. The guy focused on basketball since he was in elementary school, it became his life. Obviously he traded off school to get to where he is now, which is a multimillionaire well on his way to becoming a bililonaire, before the age of 25..

Anyway, I'm sure as he ages and develops his business empire more he'll increase his vocabulary and become more of a coherent speaker..

  • Furthermore, the whole premise of your argument is weak. What if you're an international businessman who needs to speak multiple languages? Do you need to be a highly proficient speaker of Mandarin in order to make a deal in China? No, you get a translator or you work around the language barrier. It is done every single day. It isn't necessary that a person be highly proficient at everything, it is more important to surround oneself with those highly proficient in individual categories.

  • this guy needs an education; he struggles with what he wants to say

  • Yea but he's one of the top earners under-25 as the intro states...so, you're agonizing over his language (which is pointless) while he's agonizing over million dollar contracts...Now you tell me who won.

  • Thats irrelevant to what he said. If he's making that much money now....getting an education so he can convey his thoughts and ideas better, among many other things can only help him. I

  • And this is so because?

  • I'm not saying I agree or disagree. It's Lebrons choice, I'm just saying what the guy that said that was probably thinking.

Personally, I don't like the idea of "well, i have money now so i don't need to be educated". Education is something you should do for yourself....having money shouldn't change it.

  • What does "educated" mean? Seriously, what precisely does it mean to be "educated" or to pursue "education?"

And once again you seem to be missing the point. I you wish to pursue certain legal (or moderately illegal) endeavors with your money and time...go for it, but YOU go for it and keep it in your circle. As I said before, you guys are taking an L on this one. You think 'Bron sittin' around pontificating on some youtube lames with little to no net-worth? Come on man, let's get real.

  • Kobe's highschool ball stats arn't even as good as garnetts

  • Lebron's already the best basketball player in the world, better then Kobe. Not a single player in the NBA completely dominates like he does. He can just drive to the net every time and either go to the line or score. He's the best no doubt

  • lol kobes games werent on national tv fuck heads

and this one game in highschool lebron scored 56 the other team score 48...

lebron was wayy better then kobe in highschool

  • media wasnt the same when kobe was in high school

  • yeah nobody really talked about kobe when he was in high school

  • kobe scored more points then anyone ever in high school

  • wow..

this interview with lebron james has really changed my view of him. he is suprisingly mature, eloquent and down to earth.

  • I completely agree with you unplugged123.

  • he's like the complete opposite of what u'd expect of a high school nba star.

  • Like Kobe Bryant for example?

  • hahahahahahahahahaha

  • hahahahahahahahahaha what?

  • Infamous Canadian hacker MafiaBoy will be doing his first ever television interview on the October 8th edition of The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos.

    Be sure to tune in!

  • His intelligence shows in his maturity and the way hes handled himself in the league at his young age. He hasn't done anything in his NBA career when it come to professionalism thats been negative. On and off the court he represents his city, fans, and himself with class. He resurrected a franchise at 18 and led them to their first Finals appearance at 22. If you think hes a bad person or player, who and what have you been watching?

  • lebron is only 22 years old, kobe is 32.

Lebron has still long way for his career. Kobe will probably play for next 3-4 years and then retire

  • Kobe's 30

  • Kobe just turned 30 in August, and Lebron will be 24 in December.

  • Kobe is 30...bron is 24

  • LeBron suck compared to Kobe

    dont even compare the two

if lebron is better than kobe then why didnt he get season MVP?

howcome his team didnt make the EC finals?

  • Because everybody but LeBron and Z sucks!

  • ...high quality

  • Lebron is the greatest and is a smart person

  • alot of pros lie him are total jerks but he is a very nice person

  • Long way to reach Kobe? Bitch, he might not be Kobe yet but hes second best in the world. Thats not a long way considering hes 23 and averaged 30, 7, and 7. Only others to do that were MJ and Robertson..not Bryant.

  • Very inspiring

  • he is better than kobe already

  • Kobe is a better shooter, that's about it.

  • @cyvylyzed your momma!

  • He IS a smart guy.

He has his foot in quite a few investments and he's currently taking Mandarin classes as he believes China is a huge untapped market

  • Great interview although the tight ass pants on George kept distracting me, whyyyyyyyy

  • nice video!!!

  • i was there WOOOH

  • i thinks hes not that smart i think him phisically dominating grown men he really just has to play ball like hes playing in the streets

  • how can u say hes not smart when u cant even spell the word physical?.. dumbfuck!

  • Anyone know when this documentary will be released?

  • king james!

  • Chess?

  • no he jsut say that becuz to show thats how a great player he is very grpounded but base on what he does he is better than kobe...

More skills more effective player in the court so on...

    LeBron >>>>> Kobe

  • LeBron is the best, and outside of basketball LeBron is a better business man, more of a people person, and is a better return on investment.

  • kobe is the best! lol

  • God gifted Talent

  • Lebron James... King Of Basketball.

He And D.Rose R The Best

  • to lacirca: "each guest has the same cheap bio backround music what a joke common georges!"

i've watch alot of talk shows but the hour's bio intros are the only ones that actually get me pumped up for an interview

  • He is soooooo damn FINE!!!

  • nothing

  • He seems smarter than most of the athletes who do go to college.

  • he has a point about the financial concerns. How can you tell someone to refuse a chance right then to get a good amount of money. College is important. I hope one day he may consider going to college, maybe get a business degree hehe, not that he really needs it, if he does what he says he does business wise.

  • Intelligence = Achievement. Each person defines their own view of achievement, if you reach yours you are smart. No point going to college and then working in a job you don't like for 50 years. James is rich he does not have to work again, unless he wastes his money and he is not going to.

  • Intelligence does not equal Achievement.

Doing what it takes to get what you want/need equals achievement. Therefore action, whether intelligent or not, leads to achievement.

Not going to college and straight into an NBA rookie salary when he already has an NBA ready body was a smart move, but that doesn't mean MENSA is opening their door to him.

  • "Doing what it takes to get what you want/need equals achievement. Therefore action, whether intelligent or not, leads to achievement." If you achieved something then you made the right action, this is intelligence. Lebron is smart as he earns millions and does what he wants to. I doubt the guys with 151 IQ who earn $50,000 a year doing a job they hate could claim to be smarter than Lebron.

  • Actually they can. LeBron just happens to be good at something that pays a lot. How much you make doesn't necessarily reflect your intelligence.

  • I guess that is the key for me, is what will he do with that money? Will he be just another athlete/celebrity star who will splurge on planes, houses, cars etc, or will he save that money and do something active with that money? Already from this interview, he is saying that basketball isn't everything, and he is thinking of what he will do after his career runs its course. So as long as he has those things in mind, I think he will be alright.

  • If he keeps his money and invests it he is smart. If he wastes it he is an idiot. Decisions are how we judge intelligence. No point passing exams if you can't manage your money.

  • i love george soooo much. BEST interviewer EVER.

  • i thought he seemed like a good guy. george is a great interviewer

  • A little bit of a big head but all around a solid guy

  • Successful and likable.
