  • hey, friend, god job, but what is the name that this song? is nice!!!

  • What is it?? Can't be a gear. Why bother drawing something if it is not accurate?

I have uploaded to youtube several vids for creating TRUE INVOLUTE internal and external gears with backlash and even sprockets using Autocad. The vid of the GEAR Word Document has the formulas and the gear terms to help with your gear and sprocket designs.

  • @popnstart

ohh, hey.. not sure why bother,, i was just experimenting with different tools and so here, i came up this this GEAR thing.. so i thought i would share..:)

oh i didn't knew about this when I created this video,,,this was year a go, :D

yeahh,, i will check out your accurate videos now..=]

  • excuse me i don't speak english, but it isn´t a correct gear. i think its the way to do a gear. because you must to know the dimensions of the circles to do a correct gear, do you know something about how calculate the dimensions of the circles???

  • @kalubla007

i don't use Solidworks anymoree,,, but Yes! af far as I know you can calculate the dimensions of the circles using ''smart Dimensions'', on the left corner,,

  • Why would anybody think that is 2x speed? :)

    Nice work!

  • @Aleksej79ns

    not sure,, i was just conforming,,LOL :D

  • @Aleksej79ns i don't know, i just chose it randomly :)

  • nice!!!

  • you should use revolve feature

it will make the same body much faster and it wouldnt be so complex.

  • @leparditas

yeahh mann,, i just noticed,,, its kinda way easier,..

  • can you please type using non-msn words? its hard to understand, especially "gair", which is totally unrelated to gear

other than that, great job! never thought of a curved form of a gear!

  • @leeth419 *facepalm*

  • @leeth419

ohh,, i am sorry,, i am not particular using non-msn words,, i really believe the word 'gair' which suppose to be 'GEAR' is a spelling mistake..

  • Solidworks is do damn fun to use because you can find solutions on so many diffrent ways :)

  • hi just wondering at around 2.24 your cursor has turned into a red circle and you seem to have already selected your desired entities to mirror and once you have mirored them you can adjust one of the circles diameter and the other copies the command. how are you doing this? are you pressing something like shift? i cant figure it out..thanks!

  • @BearDarkbay

    hey,, glad u use solidworks..

yeah that is how you resize the object,

click on the object then click and hold, this is how you can resize it, i guess you will c the red circle there,,:P

once they'r mirrored, you can move/ resize them 2gather!!

    hop this helps!:)

  • thnks very much that helps a lot :-)

  • oh man that is super cool we have the software in the university and its so cool.

  • good work! my school will have SolidWorks next year, i'm very curious on learning how to use this software and how it compares with pro engineer

  • hey,, thanks for response, its really helpful.

n e wyz, i dont kno much about inventor tho.

m age 17 and i never had any chance to learn inventor, even i learnt SolidWorks by my self, i was just bit crazy learning new software, n this is how i learnt Solidworks.:P

m thinking of learning inventor now!:D i am going to buy it very soon..looks interesting!

    thanks for the response tho!:)

  • @JacquesMichelHache my school already has solisworks trust me its good you should try it, you can make nearly anything with it

  • sfdfgdgd

  • nunca imagine que el diseño 3d llegara a ese nivel de facilidad, gracias por compartir.

  • I've never seen gear teeth drawn that way, that amazed me, im going to have to try that method sometime. because usually i just draw an entire tooth, array/pattern it, then cut.

    impressive

  • hi there...

    thanks for the comment

actuallly this is a small part of car which fits with engine,, its kind of gair basically

    thanks

  • i got student version and i made a rubiks cube. :P

  • thank you , good job

  • if u were kind enough to tell us what exactly u r doing that would have been greatfull

    great job anyways

  • With Inventor we don´t need to sketch a gear we design like mechanical form

  • cool

  • This is kl
