What is it?? Can't be a gear. Why bother drawing something if it is not accurate?
I have uploaded to youtube several vids for creating TRUE INVOLUTE internal and external gears with backlash and even sprockets using Autocad. The vid of the GEAR Word Document has the formulas and the gear terms to help with your gear and sprocket designs.
ohh, hey.. not sure why bother,, i was just experimenting with different tools and so here, i came up this this GEAR thing.. so i thought i would share..:)
oh i didn't knew about this when I created this video,,,this was year a go, :D
yeahh,, i will check out your accurate videos now..=]
excuse me i don't speak english, but it isn´t a correct gear. i think its the way to do a gear. because you must to know the dimensions of the circles to do a correct gear, do you know something about how calculate the dimensions of the circles???
i don't use Solidworks anymoree,,, but Yes! af far as I know you can calculate the dimensions of the circles using ''smart Dimensions'', on the left corner,,
hi just wondering at around 2.24 your cursor has turned into a red circle and you seem to have already selected your desired entities to mirror and once you have mirored them you can adjust one of the circles diameter and the other copies the command. how are you doing this? are you pressing something like shift? i cant figure it out..thanks!
m age 17 and i never had any chance to learn inventor, even i learnt SolidWorks by my self, i was just bit crazy learning new software, n this is how i learnt Solidworks.:P
m thinking of learning inventor now!:D i am going to buy it very soon..looks interesting!
I've never seen gear teeth drawn that way, that amazed me, im going to have to try that method sometime. because usually i just draw an entire tooth, array/pattern it, then cut.
hey, friend, god job, but what is the name that this song? is nice!!!

you should use revolve feature
it will make the same body much faster and it wouldnt be so complex.

can you please type using non-msn words? its hard to understand, especially "gair", which is totally unrelated to gear
other than that, great job! never thought of a curved form of a gear!

ohh,, i am sorry,, i am not particular using non-msn words,, i really believe the word 'gair' which suppose to be 'GEAR' is a spelling mistake..

hey,, glad u use solidworks..
yeah that is how you resize the object,
click on the object then click and hold, this is how you can resize it, i guess you will c the red circle there,,:P
once they'r mirrored, you can move/ resize them 2gather!!
hop this helps!:)
