I live in a rich community and no one wants to pay for having a hockey team in any of the schools in my town. We have a rink right by the school, too. No one is interested.

The glowing puck is FAR from being a bad idea, it was actually quite cool. I think the "comet" effect was just exaggerated, put a bit of a tail on that and maybe just may it a dark gray. Hockey games have a puck shadow, so I wouldn't mind something similar, make it stick to the ice, so we can relate the pucks height to the shadow.

Is there something wrong with me because I kinda like that Foxtrax. Not all the time, but the first goal is pretty cool when I can really see where the puck goes during the shot. It would also be easier to see deflections etc. But the players had some complaints about the puck so yeah.. I wonder if it was possible to do something like that to a normal puck that they could show in replays (not slow-mo's though), I wouldn't mind.

The glowing puck had to have been the dumbest idea in the history of sports coverage. They needed to make the puck more visible, cause a black puck on white ice, isn't visible enough? And with that dumb red tail when it was a slapshot? It's a puck, not a comet. Thank you FOX sports for being such a tool!

Is there something wrong with me because I kinda like that Foxtrax. Not all the time, but the first goal is pretty cool when I can really see where the puck goes during the shot. It would also be easier to see deflections etc. But the players had some complaints about the puck so yeah.. I wonder if it was possible to do something like that to a normal puck that they could show in replays (not slow-mo's though), I wouldn't mind.

people that grew up playing the game or old school fans really hated the foxtrax puck... it was a tool to attract new fans.

what is the reason.. I mean yes, if i had my choice, I can see a black puck on a white surface, and I understand the game of hockey pretty well, so we basially know where the puck is going ot be anyway, but what was the reason? was it just bceause it was odd? it was only on fox right, so really only the American fans would watch that. Did they not like it? isnt ESPN coming back on iwth NHL next year, they marketed the game well in teh states if you ask me.

ya..there is some speculation that ESPN and the NHL could come to an agreement.. I used to love watching it on ESPN and on FOX. But now the only way to watch it is to see it on Verses.. and that sucks

One of the biggest reasons it was kicked out was the circuits inside heated up the puck and made it bounce differently. The players hated it.

yeah i know, i dont see HOW it can be so bad, maybe they should get rid of the blue and red line feature but a glow on the puck doesnt harm at all.

He was pointing because Hasek was unconscious that period he played in and had already stoned Nolan a couple times before. If I recall corectly, that was the only goal Hasek allowed on 20+ shots in that period.
