I'm a sound technician + it seems to me that they purposely did that so that the audience would hear more of Taio's vocal to promote him ie. being a new artist "breaking into the biz" sorta stich.

Kylie most likely suggested it - she's that kind of person. She isn't one to 'steal someone else's thunder'. She's not egotistical as some 'artists' can be. xxx
