  • Brandon401401 shooting at 500 yards .22lr

  • i shot a rock that size at 250 yards with my 22

  • Why did dust fly in front of the balloon?

  • I bought a Savage Mk2 a few days ago, still waiting to pick it up. I am thrilled to see these videos highlighting its accuracy.

  • Impressive, If I had the land I would like to try some 600 Plus yard shots with a 22LR. however in Reality, I'm sure it would Bounce off the Wood at that range.

  • there is a video of a guy shooting at 400 yards.

  • I did a 225-250 (plus minus) meter kill shot on a goose 8 years ago. I got as close as I dared on the ice as this was spring season, the goose was on a river inlet in the water. Scope is a BSA non-mildot rated to 100 meters, rifle is a Brno 452 and the ammo was Thunderbolt :)

  • thats freakin impressive! great shootin

  • Sweet gun but wat is the scope called cause i want one now

  • Hey, I enjoyed this video. I wish you could have used a rangefinder to positively know the yardage. I am very impressed with the shots that you made using T-Bolt ammo. I like to use Wolf in my CZ for long distance shooting but I have never made a 300 yarder successfully like you did. Great video!!!!! and thanks,

    Allen

  • im gonna be a negative nancy and say thats only about 180 yards if the first target was a hundred

still not a bad shot but no record

  • I have the same gun

  • just got the centerpoint 4-16 for my markII, can't wait to go shootin' fun lil gun, I found that the Winchester bulk X Super 36grn copper coated HP's work best in mine, just wish I had more yardage, mighty fine marksmanship

  • I normally work with the 100yd zero out to 200 and 300+yds with the 17HMR. I never touch the zero mechanically, I just use the mil dots and they work pretty well on lower magnifications for those distances.

For a 22 LR scoped rifle, I think you would be able to keep a cold bore 5in grouping at 200yds with ease. But 200+ is when everything drops off

  • Nice shootin', cowboy.

  • Ive a cousin who shoots squirrels with 22lr and iron sights at 75-80 yards with 80% hits. Hes good on sparrows also. Regards, fun video

  • @bill45colt yea i got an 80 year old 22. that i shoot squirrels with from about the same yards its fun as hell to push the 22. with iron sights

  • 350 yards? With a 22? BIG EFFIN DEAL

Lol 350 yards translates to 315m, .22 in = 5.58 mm ~= 5.65 mm standard issue Russian rifle ammo. Well guess what? The specs on your average crappy Russian gun say combat range 250-400m. Without a scope. OOPS. You just qualified for general infantry, kid!

  • @kuruyad If you can shoot 400 meters with iron sights, your jesus or your lying.

  • @ConsiderPro 400 meters with iron sights is not that hard . . . they shoot 1000 meters with iron sights through basic training here in the US . . . that means every US infantry solider can shoot an M16 at 1000 meters . . .

  • @Guitararcher Your sounding pretty retarted. 1000 meters is a little over 1000 yards. Marine sniper's in training make a 1000 yard shot to graduate training school. It's impossible to shoot a M16 with Iron sights over or even near 1000 yards. Your target would look like a decimal.

  • @ConsiderPro impossible?? maybe you should spend some time sitting in front of the TV with the history channel on before you talk . . .

  • @kuruyad why don't you try again bud . . . 5.65 is a 223 NATO round, which is only idk 2000 fps faster, lmao . . . your right the bullet is about the same size, but the casing is not . . . there is about twice the amount of powder in a 223 round;)

  • @Guitararcher

A .223 has about 5 times the powder charge of a .22 lr actually.

And no, the U.S infantry does not shoot an M16 1000 yards, especially not with iron sights lol. I don't know where you got that notion but it's wrong.

Btw, I'm rather confident that you missed that "350 yard" shot because look were the dust was kicked up. Most likely the debris popped the balloon. I'll believe this type video with a solid target and a confirmed bullet hole.

  • @thelegendbullet937 you will get your "solid" target shot eventually, I just haven't posted it yet. I have video of that same shot but with a steel plate this time instead, not to mention dead groundhogs at 300+ yards as well. don't be such a nay sayer . . .

  • @Guitararcher

I don't mean to be a nay sayer lol. I just know that because a .22 goes subsonic after 80 yards or so "of course depending on the ammo" the turbulence has a large effect on the round because it's so light weight. A long range shot like that just seems kind of mythical, but I look forward to a confirmed 300 yard hit!! It will make me want to get a nice scope for my Mossberg 702 :P

  • @thelegendbullet937 buddy ive seen .22lr reach out to 400 yards. you are right though alot of things can affect it and im not saying everyshot landed on taget but the majority did and id say thats amazing for a .22

  • @thelegendbullet937 there are two rounds you can find in cabelas that are amazing for the .22. one is called sniper subsonic at 1050 fps with a SIXTY grain bullet. And also, there is one round even faster than stiners...40 grain bullet at 1760fps. those rounds give a .22lr .22 magnum performance!

  • @SwaggerUSMCSniper

Are you talking about the those aguila colibri Sniper SubSonics? I thought those would be good too, but I've seen videos that show those rounds to be trash. =/

  • @thelegendbullet937 nope they actually arent colibris! i forgot what the brand is but you will have to look it up. the colibris shoot about 500 fps the ones im talking about shoot 1050fps.

  • @SwaggerUSMCSniper

A 1050fps 60 grain?? Please do find me the name of those things!! That's nearly 150ft-lb of energy from a subsonic .22!

  • @thelegendbullet937 i will tell you what they are called in a few minutes. it is in a cabelas magazine i own...will start looking now

  • @Guitararcher

Also another correction that needs be made here: a 5.65mm is NOT a .223 round. You're thinking of the 5.56mm. However even then the 5.56mm is not a .223 round, they are similar but not exactly the same.

  • @kuruyad

Lol, your comment made me laugh. It just shows how LITTLE you know about ammunition and ballistics.

  • @thelegendbullet937 Lol wow . . . umm my bad guys . . . my little cousin got on here and started blabbin away . . . yup you are totally right, the marines are trained to shoot at 300 and 500 meters with the M16 . . . he just got confused with the 5.56 and 5.65 bit . . . the 5.56x45mm is nearly identical to the standard .223 rem just slightly bigger . . . its enough to ruin a .223 chambered barrel. But my little cousin isn't a total idiot . . . 400 meters with open sights is not impossible . . .

  • why do tou adjust your scope thats what mil dots are for

  • @alrodrodriguez I'd like you see you hold over 36mils without adjusting the scope . . .???

  • we hit stuff with the .22`s at 350m with open sights at the range.....

  • 100m????? At the range im at guys are hitting stuff at 350m.....

  • Great shooting but i must ask where did u get the scope and the scope mounting base i have the same rifle but i am u able to find any mounting base for it

  • @bladez71822 its just a cheapo rail mount . . . bought it from wallmart for a pellet gun forever ago . . .

  • those are some really great shots!! most vids you see on youtube are of guys dumping bullets all over the place trying to hit a target. but this was one shot one kill!!! awesome job!

  • I just want to say. Cold bore Does not have anything to do with the temperature of your rifles bore. When someone says Cold bore shot. It simply means the first shot out of your rifle. Most snipers, and marksmen can hit any target on their second shot. To be able to hit your target on the cold bore shot means you know the ballistics of your rifle so well you can adjust your optic with no shot reference. You already made a shot so the 300 yard hit is not a cold bore shot. sorry

  • @BradleyBlack you don't listen well do ya?? I said relatively cold bore, but it was actually a cold bore shot at 300 yards. That was the first shot at that distance, I found out the required dope for my rifle a few weeks prior to filming it . . .

  • @Guitararcher cold bore also has to do with barrel fouling. "cold bore" shots are no prior shots fired because one shot would not only heat up the barrel by a few degrees but also leave residue in the barrel. if you ever want to test this, take a 3 shot group at 250 yards, then clean the barrel really good and take another 3 shot group with cleaning between each shot and you'll see the difference

  • @BradleyBlack no offense but both of you guys are arguing about something stupid. a cold bore is actually the first shot of the day. not the first shot at a certain distance. they call it cold bore because your gun shoots different after your barrel warms up and expands. seriously I can;t believe you could be that ignorant to believe t has nothing to do with the temperature of the barel. I don't claim to know it all but I will speak up when I know someones wrong.

  • there are a few 400 yard videos on youtube.

I certainly don't mean that to downplay your awesome shooting. I have never shot my .22 that far and there is a certain amount of skill needed to do that. Great job.

  • wow a .22! you are insane! hahaha how can you handle the recoil?!?!

  • Nice shot, for cheap ammo that is outstanding.

  • @TheRossBeast The cz 452 is beast, i can shoot super tight groups at 200 yards open sights. love than gun to the end

  • i hit at 275 with my glen feild model 25

  • great shooting, i have been making hits out to 300 yards as well, last week i was making hits out to 400 yards, but my 10/22 isnt as accurate as your little rifle, what brand is the rifle and model.

  • hey i was wondering what the click value on your bsa sope was thanks! Also great video! The farthest ive shot with my Mark 2 was 250 yards and it was with a lot of hold over hahaha

  • @Laughattack011 1/8th MOA, 250 is about where I started out, then I was like "huh wonder how far I can go, lol"

  • @Guitararcher great shot on all three man nicely done

  • Great video man! Have seen the video of the guy shooting 400yards? By the way, what scope is that?....

  • @OnTaRgEt16 thanks, I have not seen that vid . . . gonna have to look for it. The scope is a BSA mil dot, 6-16x40. Great scope, got it from Natchez for 60 bucks, cant beat that, its a 200 dollar scope:)

  • @Guitararcher Thunderbolts are amazing! I just bought a pack yesterday and they are buy far the most accurate ammo that I have put through my gun. And they are cheap : )

  • nice shooting, until i get my FAC i have to settle with my 12ft/lb theoben fenman .22 air rifle but i have pushed it to 170yrds shooting cans so not bad, when i get my .22 rimfire i will have to see how far it can shoot, i must admit i have heard thunderbolt ammo is not all that good ,we all shoot CCI rounds and get much better groups, reliability :)

  • @ARCEYE78 170 with a air rifle is pretty darn good. Give the thunderbolt ammo a bit more credit than that. I am actually shooting cheaper ammo now, federal something, it really doesn't have a name but its a 550 box for 9 bucks. CCI rounds are not worth it to me, if you look at the charts the supersonic rounds are still faster till about 800 yards vs the subsonic rounds.

  • @Guitararcher yes they are veryexpensive but for our discipline with semi auto's they are the only brand that seem to cycle well :/ but for bolt action like a pump shotgun you can pretty much put anything through and find what suits best,i wish our ammo was as cheap as yours!! 100 CCI for £6 / $9.50 approx,im sure the gov are trying to make ammo so expensive that we cant afford to shoot :/

    Happy shooting :)

  • @ARCEYE78 hmm semis huh. They are generally not as accurate as a good bolt. Of course if you were to have like a new AR style gun in 22 it would probably drive tacks like a bolt. I understand what you mean though, dad has a old tube semi auto 22 that will jam every other shot with thunderbolt ammo but with the federal ammo you can unload all 15 rounds in under 3 seconds. Thats always interesting. Where r u from? I noticed you stated the price in Euro's first . . .

  • @Guitararcher Im from England UK :) ,i use a ruger 10/22 with 25 rnd mag for practical target shooting,im on my way to the club in an hours time for a good shooting session ,just typical the club gun likes the expensive stuff :/ jams are never welcome when your being timed but if i take up some long range shooting then i'll definatley get a mag fed bolt action but two disciplines are enought for now as i also do practical shotgun which is my prefered sport.

  • im going to try to do some longer range shooting with a .22, and ill let you know how that goes. i use a Stevens model 300 .22. im a big fan of the Savage Mark 2, but i liked the grey synthetic on the Stevens, and everything else is the same. only the color is different. i have a bushnell 3-9x40 scope. fantastic for a .22.

    Happy shooting!

  • damn nice shooting. i love the wait for bullet impact... even at 250yds theres a good 3/4 a second wait noticed that today while i was shooting

  • @rider4343 i just bought a savage mark 2 and love it haven't had a problem with anything on it the clip works great as well just did a bit of custom work to it as well

  • ive shot jackrabbits at 100 yards with my old marlin model 25 , nice shooting and fun to watch

  • @rider4343 yea there mag is crap. I am going to get the 5 instead of the factory 10, I think that might help, and I only need one shot, lol

  • Awesome shooting. I just got a Savage 17 HMR & plan on plinking with it over the summer till deer season. Are you going to hunt archery for spring gobbler?

  • @ericroadking yea man, I will be going at it hardcore, lol

  • sweat peas

  • no way 1 of your steps = 3 feet. : |

  • I am 6' 3", my steps are 3 feet, and I double checked the distance on google earth, I am just about perfect, +/- 3 yards!

  • thats pretty impressive. I was considering buying a new savage MK2 or buying a new BBL for my 10/22

I think im going to go with the new 10/22 BBL and ill see if I can top this video :D

    tty in a month!

  • alright cool. I really dont think this is a world record. But noone has established one, so gotta start somewhere, lol.

  • exactly....even if it was... I dont think anyone cares but its cool as hell to watch and do! I shoot AR competition and im getting really into the .22 again because it moves so slow! I can shoot....pause...look at the target...and watch it THWAP kick up some dirt nd break the clay

    Its so sick

  • I know what you mean, I thinkt he time of flight for my ammo at 300 yards is like 1.4, lol

  • iv shot 417 yards with a ruger 10/22 target and i use a range finder to get that distance

  • cool man how were the groups? Bet they were pretty big since you were shooting a semi? I dont own a range finder but I backed up my distance using google earth. The true distance for the first shot was 298 yards and the second was 353, so I guess I stepped a bit bigger when I moved back? lol.

  • ya 1pace =1.5 feet

  • dude, where is the bow?

thought I was getting to see a nice archery video, but for a rifle video this one is not at all bad.

  • well, I know I know, but I have to counteract my frustrations from bowhunting into something! So in the summer I pick off the groundhogs as far off as I can, lol!!!

  • Haha, I wish I can shoot that well. I tried to shoot at 100yds. It dropped like 5 fooet 10 feet befor the target.

Lol, nice vid. btw I got a compound bow. I decided better to start of with something where I can ajust the wieght of bow to see where I can pull back. And I;m gonna get into weights and stuff. So in a year or two I would get recurve

  • great shooting brother! but its doubt not dought lol

  • oops thanks it was late, and I dont normally spell the best as it is!

  • Pretty cool man nice Job !
