  • In contradiction to axella my calendar came with alarm. Is there anybody who know how to set it in silentmode, that is without alarm?

  • I am not happy with this calendar at all because of the lack of calendar alarms with this device! It’s the feature I liked the most on my N95 8gb, being reminded when I had an event coming up on the day.

I knew the N900 came with a calendar – it simply didn’t occur to me that this device would lack such an important feature as reminders. It’s a big backward step.

I even tried inputting appts via PC Suite, but the alarms still didn’t sound on the phone.

    This device has been disappointing.

  • Even more weird is that the default for birthday reminders has no alarm.WHAT?

  • Cant believe i hav 2 say this about my beloved n900. But there is a huge really annoying bug with the calendar app which is really really irritating. the default alarm time for events is set to 15 mins b4 event for some weird, stupid reason so every time u enter a new event u hav 2 remember 2 edit alarm timing to none. WHAT? at least hav the default as none so u can add alarm if u need one. But why the f**k dont they just let u put wot ever damn time you want for ur alarm anyway!!!!! aaaaaargh

  • How this PIM compares to the included in the E71?

  • Thanks for the video. I was happy to see that Nokia had included a decent PIM in maemo that supports syncing and multiple calendars... still I am pretty disappointed with the very basic functionality. Like you, I hope they add more common functions (custom repeating tasks, notes for tasks, etc.), but nokia's neglect of the PIM in symbian leaves me cause for doubt.

  • How do you make a SkypeOut call to a contact? (not skype to skype- but to a regular number using skype credit)

  • You just tap the phone number of the person (not their Skype ID) with the label over it of Call with Skype and a SkypeOut call will be initiated.

  • check out the stock app !!!

  • I have a quick question what is that blinking white light on the left? Is that the proximity sensor?

  • No, it is a notification light that you can manage. The flashing white indicates an email or message was received and pending.

  • I thought the notification light is on the bottom left, and that the blinking white light on top left in the video is indeed the proximity sensor. It operates on infrared, so it is invisible to the eye but the camera is sensitive to it. Nice catch!

  • OK, I missed that was the light he was referring too.

  • Oh I was about to say, if it was like that in real life it would be really annoying! haha..

  • thank u, this phone is so awesome XDDD
