  • hi, its not long since i faced fractals and i wondered if i could create an image that would work like fractal- as closer you get to it the more you see, but as i noticed, fractals are usually made from already created sample, like you opened with ctrl+D, but is it possible to make it from particular image, like in ps- you open and then manipulate it. and also i wondered, if when you get closer to see more could it appear as some kind of particular picture, not only an ornament. ? thank you!

  • @sauletekiais It is possible to make your own custom fractals, although using any image as a basis wouldn't make much sense. This fractal, the most famous one, is pre-defined for you, based on z -> z^2 + c.

  • thanks mate that was great

  • I do not believe this you have the same image on your desktop I have, and I made mine from particle illusion. It loooks Identical, no joke.

  • Very cool

I was disappointed when you stopped zooming in, those colours were starting to look really intense haha

I could watch a fractal zoom forever...

  • Can i do it with any picture?

    And will i automaticly fractal?

  • I use Farctal Explore. see me

  • Every shape that exists is a fractal and has fractal dimensions also (which describe the texture of reality) If you are interested in fractals I recently discovered the method for hand drawning a fractal of any shape and how they come from limits. Sincerely, Jason Padgett

  • lol, when you google "javaquat" now, the first link is to this video!

  • The mandelbrot set is beautiful... Which is your favorite fractal set?

  • Comment removed

  • JavaQuat suckz! try UltraFractal instead!

  • UltraFractal is very expensive. I actually use fractal extreme these days.

  • this might be good for some just wanted to explore a fractal, but this is misnamed 'making'. it's not helpful at all in making fractals.

  • Perhaps. It is possible to edit the iteration formula used in JavaQuat and the colour palette if you want to explore that.

  • Hi I really enjoyed your video. I'm interested in fractal videos. I am a musician/composer and I have some great music and I'm looking for fractal videos of high quality to score. thanks

  • dam, you just coughed and it nearly blew my ears off. im listening in headphones

  • hahaha sorry

  • You could zoom in on a fractal at real time on hightechdreams . com

  • yjr thing lags like crape for me?

  • Don't know why, sorry.

  • Thanks for the useful video! Keep up the good work.

  • i hate your accent, but well, nice video

  • what do you expect the guy to do about his accent?

  • seems pretty easy, thanks!

  • Picta!

  • That's really cool. I think I'm going to try that.
