  • I like the glowing molten bubbles at the end.

  • Guys, light travels at what?

187,000 miles per second? the fastest slomotion camera's ever can't do that, and i pretty sure the video would be a couple months/years long.

  • I remember flash cubes! had to use those with my old camera....love watching your vids!

  • this is incredible. scientific even.

  • spell much?

  • SOOO much cooler than regular flash :)

  • I wish we had had this technology when I was in high school, 50 years or so. It would have made many principles much easier to comprehend.

    A great body of work

  • What is a flash cube?

  • Ask your parents... They where what we used befors an electronic flash. They where 4 flash bulbs in a cube that rotated after each shot. Real old school.

  • @ultraslo Someone said to me one time, "you know you are old when your baby picture are in black and white." I tried not to take offense to it.

  • @ultraslo Old school is awesome! Although you mean "they were" not "they where," ... i.e. "WHERE did you two go? we WERE going to the store, but then decided on pizza instead"

  • @ultraslo I remember them well from my parents camera! Took a lot of shots with that camera.

  • Wow! Amazing video.

  • WOW!! Awesome!! When I was a kid, my brothers and I used to take apart the flash cubes and set off the bulbs with a 9 volt battery. But it never looked this cool!!

Mom caught us one time and got royally pissed off. "Do you know how much these things cost??" LOL Good times.

  • @WhistlersBrother Was that before or after you were adopted?

  • Mom and Dad deny it to this day... They will not admit I was adopted. But I know. Everybody in the whole family is black, and I'm white.

  • @WhistlersBrother Hah, easy dude..I was only joking.

  • LOL No worries ShadowWolf, I was kidding too. :)

  • Flash bulbs are brighter than modern day flashes. Infact, the millitary still use them as it is the brightest flash available. They are not made anymore but there are back stocks of them.

  • very cool.

  • *PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUMP!*

  • HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGH

  • POP!

  • Wow I completely forgot about "flash cubes". I remember those!

I feel old now. Why don't you make a slomo video of a floppy disk head or an 8 track or something else to make me feel even older...

  • HOLY SHIT 10000 FPS!

  • IT'S OVER 9 THOUSAND!!!!

  • AGH! So pretty! It was beautiful! :D

  • i have no intentions of buying a house but get me 25k and i am determined to get one of these cameras.

i want to explore the whole world is super slow mo lol its so much cooler!

  • it be cool if they show a compaRISON OF WHAT NORMAL SPEED AND 10,000per seconds speed

  • Very cool

  • Soo.. how long does this last irl. ???

  • This whole clip took .14 seconds in real time.

  • ok thanks...

  • Someone dial 000 that's in the tags...

    Jokes, please don't.

  • the tag says 000 fps might want to fix for maximum view..age? viewage? haha

  • omg, my mom had one of those cameras when i was a kid.

  • the slo mo one? :O

  • LOL, no, the real life one. it sat on the top of the camera and had four sides, and each time you took a pic it would rotate to the next one. When you took 4 pics you pulled it off, threw it out and inserted a new one.

  • ohhh the flash thing. like in the movie KING KONG xD right?

  • thanks for explaining that for me. thats interesting to know. so photographers would walk around with bags of flash reloads lol.

  • everyday more interesting!!

  • oh god i'm a friggin retard. i should have just read the info. anyways, again, freaking cool video -i'm really surprised that this is how a flash bulb looks in slow mo.

    awesome stuff, thanks for posting!

  • LOL. I take it your too young to remember flash bulbs. :)

  • i just watched this and i still have no idea what a flash cube is -or how it could apparently detonate inside a jar without harming the jar.

anyways, cool video! i hope the sponsors ads are helping to pay for all that film!

  • its old flashlight from camera. its a bulb filled with oxygen and it has some magnesium wires in it. when you make photo, electric impulse heats up the wires so they burn. this bulb is one-time use only

  • read the descripcion then :)

  • what is a flash cube?

  • it is the flashlight from old polaroid cameras

  • ah ok ty

  • MY EYEZZZ

  • WOW! What a coincidence! When I was walking my dog this morning I was actually thinking about you guys and how you could make a slow-mo video of a flash from a camera. This is pretty darn close. :D

  • the effect of ultraSlo in youtube to the extend that this guy keep thinking abt it while walking his/her dog..hahahah! joking2 :P

  • Hey! I think about a lot of things when I walk my dog! =D

  • whats a flash cube

  • the 1950's and 60's version of a camera flahbulb, before they used the electric flashbulb

  • Wow, this channel is actually better than that discovery channel episode. Keep giving us new insights :)

  • Nice but you just reminded me how old I am! I'm old enough to remember when these cubes were on cameras!

  • Me too ;)

  • Cool video! I have, someplace, a box of unused flash bulbs (remember those?) I was given over 30 years ago; one of those would be pretty cool slo-mo!

  • you should do one with just a regular light bulb just to have people fathom that even slowed down to extreme speeds, light's speed is just crazy! (3.0 x 10^8 m/s)

  • NICE VIDEO..can u light some metal wool on fire and record that. its cool.

  • i just set off one of those little fireworks that looks like an M-80 but it spins on the ground and shoots different color sparks. would LOVE to see one of those from you

  • you mean a dancing devil lol those are dangerous especialy indoors my dumbass friend set his house on fire with one in his room i was their

  • that is awesome thax ^_^

  • Now that was cool

  • you should do a lava lamp!

  • waaaaaaay less exposure

  • i love it.

how bout when switching off the tv? can you record that? i mean, in a dark room to see how the picture goes off when the tv is being switched off. just a thought.

  • I just started watching the series, is this really the guys who do it or just a fan cause I have alot of ideas.

  • we shoot it all

  • i wanted a big kaboomboom boom

  • We have a play list of explosions

    Enjoy

  • WHOAH WHAT WAS THAT?!

  • u should slo-mo cracking an egg :D haha

  • We have one droping on a tile and another being made into a blendtec smoothie

  • What was that?

  • an old style flash bulb

  • I have a few ideas for you.

An egg droping on the floor

    A Trampoline jumping

Throwing a water bottle with the cap off

You can try making one of those water bottles that you put something in it and the water freezes instantly when its disturbed and try getting that

I can think of more stuff if you want msg me :]

  • we will try the ice one, we have 2 egg shots up and there will be more too. The tramp is also comming. thanks and feel free to thro more ideas into the hat.
