  • Alright George i can see the point your tryng to make but your explanation is far 2 long and drawn out. If you wish to share information of this nature your explanation should be clear and concise.

  • In that situation i force the winger to the side ,yes.

  • So ur saying UEFA B European course is rubbish..??

  • For a video demo on the topic of FORCING PLAY along with many other coaches views on when you should force inside or outside in goolge search for "FORCING PLAY INSIDE OR OUTSIDE" in position #1 click on my Blog

  • Teenspirit1009 - The topic is on switching play, not defensive line or positioning.

But if you're going to consider defensive body shape in this video topic which again focuses on SWITCH PLAY, then there is no WRONG or RIGHT when forcing play inside or outside but depends on the system of play you use, you players, the oppponent(s) playing against and current game situation.

  • George! You failed !Defender 1 - wrong position and never force Red 1 inside! You need to force him to the sideline!!!!!!!!! Wrong so wrong the whole thing!

  • @ki7222 so you would force every winger to the sideline every time? u have a lot to learn ur very wrong. depend on your formation, youur opposition player?

  • @mafls001 George is correct......in zonal play......mids and defenders force attackers IN.......to the strength of the defense........this is in half field play..........YOU FAILED......you must be american......look at your national team........you must train them ha ha ha ha

  • @northshore7x Ok ,football genius you would send every player inside regardless of the player or their formation.you send a player whatever way you want to as a defender through body position and in zonal denfense your team has to adapt. eg i want to send ronaldo down the line rather than cutting in and shooting with his right foot. send him down the line. the whole team recognizes this shuffling over towards that side condensing opportunity for him 2find space inside. u need 2 be more adaptive

  • @mafls001 Sorry Jose Marinho.......just look at the diagram...the outside back forces the play IN.......Im sorry .....I didnt know I was posting with the SPECIAL ONE..........in your case.......the SPECIAL ED ONE..........LMFAO.......

  • @northshore7x Jose Marinho LMAO haha clearly demonstrates you know ,ittle about football. i earn a living from management i may not be jose but i know a obviously a lot more than yourself. you wrong. theres nothing wrong in being a FAIL. just dont argue with SUCESS.

  • @mafls001 and you should know what its like to be a FAILURE........again........if you dont understand the concepts that are being taught.......You have to know your LIMITATIONS........SPECIAL ED ONE........ha ha

  • @northshore7x understand...........the..........concepts?...........ive.........just.........destroyed..............this...........concept...........because.........im.........always...........right.....and for once youre right i SHOULD know whats its like to be a failure but i dont because im not. haha unfortuantely for your a waste of a life and btw an elipse "..." is 3 dots used usually for analytical effect ur using it wrong because your a fail. go back to school. redo your life you...suck.

  • @mafls001 I understand.......the concept of zonal defense is so difficult, Its hard to admit that you dont understand. Managing a football team is dificult. Not everyone can do it. Its hard to teach an OLD DOG new tricks. Leave the new concepts for US. Taanks Special ED one. LMFAO

  • George! You failed !Defender 1 - wrong position and never force Red 1 inside! You need to force him to the sideline!!!!!!!!!

  • Switching play is what I would look for in this video , I will use it today .

  • I did not bother too look at the rest of the video so young coaches watch out! this might not be accurate.

  • 1:16 mins. The defense is positioned badly. If attacker 2 send a thru pass to attacker 3 through defenders 2 and 3 blue team is history. Defender 3 should have never move closer to forward, he is supposed to stay back or back up covering the space. You are missinforming with this one Buddy.

  • teenspirit1009, Not sure you noticed but the topic is about switching play not defending.

  • Comment removed

  • @soccertutor yeah but its supposed to be game related ? realistic to a game? so make it realistic this unfortunately why i hatee drills like this. everything should be in a game situation . like the video though good explanations

  • @teenspirit1009 Yes exactly, the defense line is flat when they should make a piramid with the DC attaquing the striker who has the ball, and the back in cover him and then a line or two line covering, depend on the style of the oponent

  • @teenspirit1009 i totally agree i saw that too

  • @teenspirit1009 U r a moron buddy

  • Excellent work.
