I couldn't disagree more that "people" have short attention spans, or that brevity should be a top priority. The push to make every discussion into a soundbite has really wrecked political discourse. If nobody has time to give evidence, nobody can make their point unless it's already a mantra. There's a difference between rambling on, and educating people about problems and solutions that affect them and that they can affect. He should take advantage of the lack of commercial interruptions here.
