hello good sir. I'm still confused - is this u or FM? if it's u, major props, but even if it's not it's a beautiful video. my father passed away 1 week before Christmas last year, 2011. I noticed ur mom passed in the month of December as well, although several years ago. Just a day before my b-day as a matter of fact. Anyway, i wanted to tell u my dad loved The Wind Cries Mary by Jimi. I've played guitar all my life & everytime I got the chance i would play it for him. Peace.
I first heard this mesmerizing piece of music being played by radio Caroline while walking a beach near Folkstone in Kent some friends and myself had gone to Ashford for the wknd it changed my whole outlook on music the friends are gone now but the music lives on.
@PMAR09: yeah, played nicely. This number also means a lot to me, and every once in a while I get asked to play it again with one of the bands I play with. I also played it for my brother at his funeral and for my dad, when he passed away. But hey, let´s be careful and not turn it into a funeral-song!

What I think of when I listen to this song and close my eyes: a beautiful sunny day, laying on the beach with a soft breeze of wind and the sound of the sea clashing on the beach. Lovely.
helo my friend i hear you play this beautiful song with pain in your heart your MOTHER passed away with this song in ther heart god bless your mum and you to my friend.dear regards .gerrit the old dutchman.
This was played for my brothers funeral 40 years ago, I play this on guitar myself and given my age I better get around to recording it for my own funeral. Best music ever! Happy New Year to everyone
The Albatross reminds me of my days at sea when we were sailing through the Straits of Magelan Sth America the Albatross would fly in hoards over the ship, their wing span is enormous, they are a very majestic bird
this realy is a masterpiece of music. I listen to it in my ofice everytime after I had a hard night in the kitchen with a lot of stress and a lot of guests. It brings me down everytime I hear it and blow away all the stress and tension from the service and remind me that tomorrow is another beautifull day. Thank you very much for uploading and giving me some peace every once in a while.
Paul, thank you for sharing this beautiful piece. It is sweet, soft, delicate, and awesome; it is like caressing one’s face. Thank you for sharing the story about your mother.

Thanks for this. i have always loved this song, i had it on one of the first cds i had when i was a nipper. I didn't realise it wasn't fleetwood mac till after when i read the description. it sounds a bit different to the version i have, but thats just your personal touch. definately as good as the bad, and a beautiful tribute to your mum. brightened up my day, thanks!!
@themommapuss The comment " Parting is such sweet sorrow" was written purely with you in mind. Jacey will always be sitting on your shoulder steering you on your way. Hugs+++++
It is beautiful. Its not really fleetwood mac tho. The guys in charge just used the name to sell the record. They didnt need to, its good enough. Also, it rips off sun king by the beatles. Another also, my mum has also passed on unfortunately. Kirsty maccoll's version of days helped me grieve. Makes ye greet tho lol
I read your notes after posting the comment that you've hopefully just approved, and I'd like to say two things to you
First, I mistook this for the original, make of that what you will
And second, I'd like to quote my uncle:
Whatever you believe, whatever your truth about the undiscovered country, there ain't noone can deny this; your Mother lives in you, and neither one can leave the other behind
So thank you for this video.
What a way to share just a sliver of your Mum with the world
Fantastic! I close my eyes and dream of the ocean, waves crashing onto rocks at the bottom of shear cliff faces as an albatross soars through the air. I often drift off when listening to this and I agree that is one of the best instrumentals of all time. A 100% classic.
Used to listen to this in England in 1969 before we emmigrated to Australia. It meant long hot summers and freedom. Still in Australia and the song came true.
I also had this beautiful piece of music played at my moms funeral it was her favourite,I haven't been able to listen to it until today part of the healing process I suppose, I know why she loved it so much
This is truly a masterful rendition of probably the most beautiful instrumental ever conceived. Your playing is flawless. I can well understand your dear mother loving this tune and how fortunate for her that you played it often for her. This was a tune loved by my parents and my brother. They are gone, now; the original was played at my beloved brother's funeral a year and a half ago. It made it somehow bearable.
This is a really beautiful version of this tune, your mum would have been very proud of you for recording such a wonderful piece of music so well. My best in all your musical endeavours.
