The woman looks slightly weird when doing the steps because she does it slowly and makes a face at the camera, but I FINALLY KNOW HOW TO KNIT. I'm so happy!!! Thank you whoever you are, person in the video!
thank you sooooo much! this is the only video i found that was actually good at explaining what to do. the "gun" is a very helpful tip to really get it :)
I am interested in learning how to knit and crochet, so i have been parusing youtube videos to find out how to get started. This is the simplest, most easy to understand one thus far. Thanks! I cant wait to get started!
This is how I cast on, but there are so many ways it seems to cast on! This makes the edge quite loose at the end, other methods seem tighter and more like the tighter edge finish where you cast off.
this video is the most easy one 2 follow that i found all th others you couldnt see their hands so i coundnt see what they were doing and also most of the go really quickly so you cant follow it but this one is easy to see, understand and follow watch this to lern to cast on :)
i dont have a needle. so what in the unviersie do i do? should i use a stick, or a long pair of sicorrs or should i just give up on my country spread dream? please answer within 20 minutes or all my 79 spools of yarn are being eaten by my chawawa.
What the heck? I've been trying to cast on for YEARS. Not exaggerating one bit. I broke down into tears when my little sister watched one youtube video of a person knitting and then proceeded to cast on perfectly. FINALLY. FINALLY I've found an easy way to do it. Thank you! Thank you sooo much!!
ur the best finally i know how to cast on when u knit a scarf the other videos that i watch was so confusing T_T, but now i've watched this video it gave me a lot of help. and i think i'm ready to knit my scarf ^_^thank u so much for uploading this video
i find wih this cast on it's VERY easy to over tighten your stitches if you move the two needles too far apart while knitting the first row. Seems like with the knitted cast on and long tail cast on they hold up much better. Although if you take your time this is a great cast on for 50-100 stitch rows, super easy to cast on large numbers.
I've taken on knitting as my latest whim. I've searched for a day trying to learn how to cast on and looked at a variety of videos and websites with absolutely zero success. This has to be the easiest and clearest guide to follow! Thanks so much.
Just goes to show that I'm prone to listen more attentively and learn anything from a pretty girl...
I have just been through a dozen different "clear and simple tutorials" and got confused at knotted everytime... thank you so much for finally helping me to cast on!
I love your one handed method. It's the one I use myself. I was surprised, when I was looking on youtube for a video to show my friend how to cast on, that more people don't use this awesome one hand method.
This is such a great video!! When I was learning how to knit, everything seemed so complicated, I couldn't figure it out through anything else, but this video makes it all so simple! This is perfect for beginners or anyone who forgot the first step to knitting. AMAZING VIDEO!!!!
(posted before I sent completely sorry lol) I was saying it's hard to explain in words but hopefully this technique is easier and faster for you this is a lot easier for beginners as well hope I helped someone!
She made this seem a lot easier than other videos I've seen. I've been knitting for years and I find it easier to wrap the yarn around my hand once and slipping the needle through the loop (against my palm) and pulling the yarn off by sliding the yarn up and off my hand is much easier.it's hard to exp
@dankimforde :) nope this is the righty way. mostly cuz u dont have to move ur left hand much at all. i wish the vid showed it from her view and not looking in front of her cuz it makes it confusing for beginners. if u were to hold the cast-ons in ur right hand, that would be doing it the lefty way cuz ur left hand would be doing all the coordination. maybe try another tutorial that shows it from the knitters view. it might be easier 4 u. good luck!
I wish there were more knitting videos like that! :) I finally found out how to cast on due to this video. I crochet avidly and I've been wanting to learn how to knit to make a pair of Men's Gloves, Post more! :) It's very helpful!
I used to use this cast on method a lot. But as I start knitting bigger projects, I find my yarn will untwist itself, the yarn between my two needles is WAY too long, and my edging is saggy. Am I doing something wrong?
so much easier than the other knitting videos..... i recently bought a "i taught myself to knit kit " complete with book instructions and that was hard! no wonder my aunt suggested looking at videos :-D Nice job :-D
so easy! wow, I didn't know it was this easy. I went to a knitting store, and they gave me the most complex instructions! :D Its so funny, she says "gun" so much!! ;0
this is super helpful! the oter videos made it look hard, my grandmother tried to teach me but it look hard, This vid help so much , i subscribed. THANK YOU
Thanks!!! I started with another video and kept messing it up, but I got it on my first try with this one :D Very clear and easy to follow for a beginner!
FANTASTIC! I love your video. You illustrate everything so clearly that I know how to cast on. I am going to watch more of your videos on knitting. Thank you so much.
@allthatyouknow I've been knitting since I was like 6 LOL. I know how to do basic croquet, but there are SO MANY ways to croquet aren't there like different stitches to do. I mean I can make a chain but I can't make it get any wider.
But I just learned BASIC knit first, learning to cast on and take off were the LAST things I learned.
Wow I've been looking for different ways to cast on this one is so easy it's almost unbelievable. Great job making this easier for those who have never knitted. Even for us who have knitted. WOW!
Perfect. Slow enough to follow and simple. Another video I saw was awful. The objects used in this one were large enough to see, with contrasting colors so you could follow. Also, the showing of front and back views was very helpful!! If you don't know how to cast on, watch this. You will be casting on by the time the video is over!
This is such a fab video!i love knittiostipsbyjudy vids as well, but this one makes it look easy peasy to start!time to give up casting on with 2 needles and do it the easy way!thankyou so much!
