  • @malloryhynesful Nothing is wrong with that! Just push it back into a straight line every once in a while!

  • Hello I bought a Boye kit from Walmart and it came with knitting needles size 6 and 8, can I use these sizes as a beginner?

  • THANKKKKKKKKK UUUUUUUUUUUUU! :DDDD

  • I have tried and tried to cast on & with this video I finally got it Thank You !!

  • This is how I cast on, but there are so many ways it seems to cast on! This makes the edge quite loose at the end, other methods seem tighter and more like the tighter edge finish where you cast off.

  • now that saved time.....thank you

  • So simple and easy! Thank you!

  • I never knew there were so many ways to cast on!

  • OMG thank you. I watched 3 other videos and this was the only one that actually made sense to me.

  • I love how like while the whole video she has one of her bra straps down XD

  • this video is the most easy one 2 follow that i found all th others you couldnt see their hands so i coundnt see what they were doing and also most of the go really quickly so you cant follow it but this one is easy to see, understand and follow watch this to lern to cast on :)

  • kk

  • i dont have a needle. so what in the unviersie do i do? should i use a stick, or a long pair of sicorrs or should i just give up on my country spread dream? please answer within 20 minutes or all my 79 spools of yarn are being eaten by my chawawa.

  • What the heck? I've been trying to cast on for YEARS. Not exaggerating one bit. I broke down into tears when my little sister watched one youtube video of a person knitting and then proceeded to cast on perfectly. FINALLY. FINALLY I've found an easy way to do it. Thank you! Thank you sooo much!!

  • I think I love you

  • THANK U SOOOOOO MUCH. i love u will u marry me? sike. HEE HEE

  • 0:20 she said slipknot and its a band so its funny....

  • ur the best finally i know how to cast on when u knit a scarf the other videos that i watch was so confusing T_T, but now i've watched this video it gave me a lot of help. and i think i'm ready to knit my scarf ^_^thank u so much for uploading this video

  • she looks like she's having fun with doing such an easy job...

  • thank you!!! this was perfectly simple. the best demo i've seen!

  • Thankyou soooo murch for this method of casting on!!! I honestly thought I'd never learn to. Now Im casting like a pro. :) Brilliant !!

  • i find wih this cast on it's VERY easy to over tighten your stitches if you move the two needles too far apart while knitting the first row. Seems like with the knitted cast on and long tail cast on they hold up much better. Although if you take your time this is a great cast on for 50-100 stitch rows, super easy to cast on large numbers.

  • I've taken on knitting as my latest whim. I've searched for a day trying to learn how to cast on and looked at a variety of videos and websites with absolutely zero success. This has to be the easiest and clearest guide to follow! Thanks so much.

Just goes to show that I'm prone to listen more attentively and learn anything from a pretty girl...

  • You made this EASY! Thank you!!

  • omg it makes it look so confusing!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

  • I have just been through a dozen different "clear and simple tutorials" and got confused at knotted everytime... thank you so much for finally helping me to cast on!

  • Very easy, clear concise way to cast on for beginning knitters. Thanks

  • Best, simplest video yet!

  • the easiest I have ever seen!

  • this is THE EASIEST method I have found yet for casting on. and I can remember it. lol. THANK YOU!!

  • I love your one handed method. It's the one I use myself. I was surprised, when I was looking on youtube for a video to show my friend how to cast on, that more people don't use this awesome one hand method.

  • This is such a great video!! When I was learning how to knit, everything seemed so complicated, I couldn't figure it out through anything else, but this video makes it all so simple! This is perfect for beginners or anyone who forgot the first step to knitting. AMAZING VIDEO!!!!

  • awesome video! thank you!! easiest way to cast on for sure!

  • For once howcast helps us not for useless videos like "How to buy windows"

  • the easiest method ever!

    Thank you so much!!

  • Oh thank fuck for that. None of this was making sense until now.

  • (posted before I sent completely sorry lol) I was saying it's hard to explain in words but hopefully this technique is easier and faster for you this is a lot easier for beginners as well hope I helped someone!

  • She made this seem a lot easier than other videos I've seen. I've been knitting for years and I find it easier to wrap the yarn around my hand once and slipping the needle through the loop (against my palm) and pulling the yarn off by sliding the yarn up and off my hand is much easier.it's hard to exp

  • that girl is bad ass! i love her attitude and body language haha! love it!

  • finally a casting on video that makes sense to me!

  • This was wonderfully helpful!!! I tried several different sites before I came here and this helped beautifully! Thank you so much!

  • Why am i watching this, I don't even knit...

  • step to get a gun and shot yourself cause you cant do it!....a water gun of course!.....

  • great videos!! is this for a lefty? I would like to cast on holding the needle with my right hand.....advise please....thank you

  • @dankimforde :) nope this is the righty way. mostly cuz u dont have to move ur left hand much at all. i wish the vid showed it from her view and not looking in front of her cuz it makes it confusing for beginners. if u were to hold the cast-ons in ur right hand, that would be doing it the lefty way cuz ur left hand would be doing all the coordination. maybe try another tutorial that shows it from the knitters view. it might be easier 4 u. good luck!

  • thank u so much my grandma taught me how to knit but she always cast on for me now i can do it! thank u so much this is so percect!

  • Thank you! This was the first casting on video I could follow!

  • I wish there were more knitting videos like that! :) I finally found out how to cast on due to this video. I crochet avidly and I've been wanting to learn how to knit to make a pair of Men's Gloves, Post more! :) It's very helpful!

  • I used to use this cast on method a lot. But as I start knitting bigger projects, I find my yarn will untwist itself, the yarn between my two needles is WAY too long, and my edging is saggy. Am I doing something wrong?

  • I agree, She is awesome. I kept trying with everyone she makes it so simple. Thank you sweetie.

  • so much easier than the other knitting videos..... i recently bought a "i taught myself to knit kit " complete with book instructions and that was hard! no wonder my aunt suggested looking at videos :-D Nice job :-D

  • so easy! wow, I didn't know it was this easy. I went to a knitting store, and they gave me the most complex instructions! :D Its so funny, she says "gun" so much!! ;0

  • Knitting is easy but croquet seems SOOO hard!

  • @pgy002 crochet is so easy for me but i cant seem to learn to knit |: i just learned to cast on today so one small step towards success o;

  • @allthatyouknow I've been knitting since I was like 6 LOL. I know how to do basic croquet, but there are SO MANY ways to croquet aren't there like different stitches to do. I mean I can make a chain but I can't make it get any wider.

But I just learned BASIC knit first, learning to cast on and take off were the LAST things I learned.
