  • Nice Evo, man. What mods do you have done to it? Also, good job bein a good sport and not talkin shit. What happened to the GN? Not to bash your die, bro, but I think if all went well, he would've got ya lol. What happened?

  • @nsrailfann4life91 at the time of this video all I had was an intake, boost controller, turbo back exhaust, and a mail in flash from turbotrix in Nj. I believe the GN just couldn't put it to the ground, I do believe if he would of not spun so much I would of gotten smoked hard. My car now is fully built and I'm running a ported FP black turbo. I'm also on E85 and put down 511 AWHP 444 AWTQ on Ams performance mustang dyno.

  • @Myevo8u007 My friend has a red Evo that he has built up. Good HP to all the wheels too man. I have always liked Evos over most any other foreign car. The GNs have a problem keeping traction. Also, if he was running on a 200 trans, that would explain it all. My 81 Buick Regal 3.8 has a 200 trans and she won't go anywhere lol. I love it my Regal though. Looks just like the 82 Grand National. thats why so many Regal owners are able to clone them into GNs. They have the same exact body.

  • @nsrailfann4life91 Yeah GN are bad ass, I remember back then they were killing everything. Then in 93 GM released the cyclone and typhoon. I wanted one so bad but shit I was just getting in to high school and my parents would of laughed at me if i asked for a car that was 30 grand.

  • @nsrailfann4life91 one mistake my mail in flash was done by vivid racing in AZ at this time and later on that very day I was up against a vette and pulled a 12.891 and my motor popped on me because Vivid gave me a shitty reflash by just advancing my timing by 7 degrees and I was detonating like crazy. What u see here in video was the last time I had driven the car untill I had my car built by buschur racing in April of 2010, it was out fro like 2 yrs.

  • @Myevo8u007 Ouch. The engine blew? Is that what I'm getting? If so, that is shitty as hell man. The one good thing about old motors is that they can take a pretty good beating. No, they aren't invincable, but they are pretty durable. 4 Cylinders are hard to blow up, but it is still possible. I have blown one up myself lol.

  • @nsrailfann4life9 from the detonation it fried my pistons, then get this I took it to my dealership I bought car from and the mechanic there was going to repair it and put time blet on wrong and it slipped 4 teeth and dropped 2 valves into my pistons. That took it out.

  • tires were smoking pretty badly ... the grand national mph said 48mph so i guess he let off a bit lol

  • if he hooked the evo would have been destroyed... the grand national mph said 48mph so im guessing he let off lol

  • That evo is flying you gotta admit. That mph on the big end is huge. With that mph he should be running even quicker than 13 flat unless it's just getting into its power band.

  • The fastest recorded time a stock turbo buick (non GNX) ever ran tested by a magazine was 13.85 at 99.22 mph

  • @WhatAFluke Bruce Alred, owner of Aggressive Performance, ran a 13.4s at 103mph in his bone stock GN. At Milan in 1988. He had drag radials. It was the fall of 88 and on a weekend in October. The humidity was low, it was in the low 20's the night before and around 40F and sunny. He said that when he went to buy his he test drove 6 or 7 before he settled on the fastest one.He said the variation in these cars was unbelievable. He put a stage 2 w/76mm turbo & it runs 9.5s w/stock tranny rear end

  • dude definatly needs to practice usin that camera more

  • nice evo, but i still respect the gn more

  • yeh the evo won cuz the gn jumped the light watch closely

  • @tone1108 Tree shows the Buick left clean. The just left a little late.

  • looks like the gn's tires went up in smoke

  • @BLACKSHEEPc10 Yeah I think he would have smoked me if it would of hooked up.

  • @Myevo8u007 both are excellent cars

  • Yeah my friend wasn't to good with the cam, it sucks.

  • Yeah, didn't sound like he even got on it after the light went green. I would've liked to see the outcome, it'd be a close race if he were trying.

  • @NFSGamerUSA Why would he not try?

  • @PACKyourSHITfolks420 Beats me, although now that I think about it, Grand Nationals seem fairly quiet compared to most cars. If that one were in the shot, perhaps I could make a better conclusion.

  • @NFSGamerUSA Looked like he had some tire smoke.
