South had full rights to conduct those drills, North was threatening South. If South doesn't stand up to it and backs off, it would send a message to the North that they can push South around.

@cr9527 having the exercises so close to the border is just outright stupid. Also I agree fully with TIm and former SK president. Closing open discussion is the worst route to deal with this problem. Don't get me wrong, I'm fully on SK's side in this matter, but still, firing live rounds in such a tense situation and zone is just ridiculous.
