Also, to all the guys wanting to join NOW, its much harder. AND don't expect to be shipping any sooner than 7 or more months from now. Everything is full.
Hows it going man. I'm currently 21, and only have about a year of college completed. I was just curious if a lot of the people in basic are straight out of highschool or if the age range is pretty varied. How old were you when you enlisted? I feel like I might be too old, I'm kind of freaked out to be 26 when I get out lol.
i know that the navy asks you about if you have ever smoked marajuana and if you have they'll give you a waiver as long as your drug test is clean, do they do the same thing in the army and will they give you a waiver too?
i want to join but im to dumb for math main reason is because i have apprentice problems like u know concentration? but im a good guy no criminal records all clean dont drink or smoke im in good shape ect my dad its US army Officer major from the artillery u just have a learning disorder i think but im good so i don;t know what to do honestly they gave me a small test an i didn't even pass it i was so frustrated.. :/ US ARMY was always my dream to be like my dad:/ i wish i knew what to do
is there running every morning and how much, and what do you get every before you get there and when you get there....like stuff like there gear, what type or gear do you get,can you do a video on the stuff you got and the running PLEASE,
my main thing right now is just to pass the asvab for the Marines. im training now to drop some muscle so the cardio is helping a lot. but yea thanks for the advise for the traning thing. im working out although its just to stay toned and eating healthy but once i pass my asvab i will start running everyday.
@MadZombie14 you shouldn't believe everything you hear. and im gonna go out on a limb here, but im guessing your dad's friend hasnt been in the corps recently so he can't really know anything about the present state of it.
I was struggling at pt with my recruiter (ex scout) but ive been doin the insanity workout program i recommend it to all future soldiers man it is hard but it will get you ready and it can be downloaded for free of coarse =)
I had asthma as a child but haven't had any symptoms since I was about 6 or 7. Can I still be denied joining for that because I have wanted to be in the military since I was very young.
@britnieburnett I'm not inthe navy (I'm a guy in the army), but I do know that you could join the salvage diving unit. This unit is specially trained and does everything from repairs to rescues, maybe even assistance of SEALs out of submarine drydock shelters! Ut ts pretty tough, an strict. However, if you want to join a rescue unit, try the coast guard. They're better with rescue, and you're closer to home...
But it's your desicion, just givin you my opinion and input.
Hello, I am Female have an outstanding background of Swimming as well as Endurance long distance running in other words i have that down. I want to Join the Navy as an Aviation Rescue swimmer or Navy diver. I understand it is completely physically demanding. Do you have anything to say about the Navy in your personal opinion especially reguarding women or knowlege of Special Operations etc?
uhm i took my asvab and i swore i passed i studied and studied and then i got a 48 but to get in the airforce you need atleast a 50. i dont know what i need to do
an thats all talk about first in and last out army and marines go to war at the sametime but marine use diffrent routes so most likley they are going to go into battle on there own, with out, army help enless they are suffering KIA's one after another.
and Army is the main Law in the combat zone,a soldier helps the people, more then kill the enemy enless, your givin a direct order to go onto to patrol.
ok heres another question, so the first thing you have to do is go to the website and join it,or you dont have to?? oh yeah, btw what is ROTC? and i have been hospiltalized before. sorry for asking wayy to much question lol. im just so dang nervous. idk what to join the u.s. army or u.s. marines lol.
Marines if you want to be cannon fodder. Army if you like 15 month long deployments with only 2 weeks off. Both have similar missions but the MArines are sea based.
Oh. And how long were you running before you shipped out? I started running in July. I can run a 7 minute mile. I have to be able to run 6 miles by August when I start ROTC though. What was your routine? Im thinkning about running 3 days a week (MWF) but 3 miles each day. And then a fast 1 mile run on the weekends.
That's a good routine. Keep it up. When it starts getting closer do 2 miles. That's what my battle buddy says (he's a great runner). I ran every other day for about 3 months before Basic.. Just keep running and keep a positive attitude.
I got an AFQT score of 82. I scored in the 97 percentile for verbal skills. 74 percentile for math skills and 98 percentile for science and technical skills. Science I scored in the 97-98 percentiles. Electronics I scored in the 99 percentile. So can I do anything I want?
how can i practice for the asvab can someone pls tell me they are comming to my school on feb15 and i might take it but i dont think im ready
