Our CD/DD from Banbury Farms has to be the biggest one out there...He is 75-80 pounds. He is also VERY affectionate since we raised him with lots of human contact and love :) He is wary of strangers but warms up to them quickly
I'm in Toronto, Canada and have an 8 year old Carolina dog I obtained from a shelter just outside of Toronto when she was around 3 months old. A trucker found her and her sisters somewhere in Kentucky.
We found our dog 2 years ago at the pound, her name is Gracie, and we just realized that she is a Carolina Dog, and she is the best dog we have ever had. That wild side can be a pain though.
We had the most beautiful Carolina Dog "Tess" until two months ago. She came from a pound in Greenville South Carolina and was adopted by us at North Shore Animal League in Long Island, NY. She lived for over 14 years and eight months, and even as a puppy was the best girl in the world. Hopefully, people won't start over breeding the CD's and ruin their natural wonderful qualities.
I think I have a carolina/catahoula mix. He was one of nine. He is very sweet and loves to be a part of the family. He is not at all agressive and loves other dogs.
i found a female puppy took it home and she is the best dog ever

I used to have a Carolina Dog. Very mild tempered, but very territorial too. I loved him.
