super mario galaxy was fun and innovative and I was really really really suprised when they announced the sequel but for now I think it is enough

I hope the next Super Mario game will be a bit more back to the roots cos personally I am sick and tired of this concept, I think we need something way simpler like the good old Super Mario 64, I'm really sick of that space themed levels even if we got fire/ice/desert etc. its all space/universe (of course)...

but we'll see...

watch this video, then the SMG2 final level/boss/ending. It's as if Mario infiltrates the first layer of Bowser's final fortress here, beats him, and gets the Grand Star that powers it. After this area is beaten, he goes into the core of the whole place, where Bowser has consumed the Grand Stars that power the core to become huge, thus the final showdown begins...

@MrYounqmoney Lol XD WELL I will tell you something, to you and everybody else. If you think this game was hard, try beating mario 64 with all the stars. Nearly impossible with 100 coin stars and secrets if you dont have strategy guide. This game was 100x easier collecting all the stars, all you really have to do is keep playing, keep exploreing, explore every inch far and wide, try try try, and you shall succeed. On average I would say this game took me 13-15 hours first play to get 100%.

@TheMjdjg It does, to some extent. If I remember correctly, in every 3-D Mario game, Bowser's emblem will fade out the Game Over screen.

I loved this game. Strangely, though, I really didn't like the 2nd one. Anyone else feel the same way, or should I go back and give the 2nd another go? It was extremely linear, unlike the first, and starship Mario sort of lost the magic of Mara's spaceship (I believe that's her name, correct me if I'm wrong). Maybe it's just me.

The first Mario Galaxy was also pretty linear, but Galaxy 2 definitely felt more like a 3-D version of the sidescrollers.

Ahh of course it was. Sorry about that. It was getting around the ship that bugged me the most. Being a planet itself, trying to find your way around it when you're upside down was pretty hard. The 1st spaceship, on the other hand, was nice and flat and very nice to look at. I have to ask aswell- is there any point of letting Luigi take over in missions? I've done it a few times, but it seems to do nothing.

I know, I know it's the franchise, and I would never change it; it's just kind of like fighting Hitler in World War II, but then fighting him again in the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, and the War on Terror.

@adamfeoras Nah, that'd be more like Dr. Wily. Bowser is more centralized and consistent in his strategies. It'd be like constantly going after a criminal who keeps breaking out of prison.

If you mean the first part, you need to have Mario spin on the part of the ball where Bowser's exposed. If you spin the rock part, Mario will get hurt.

This stage is not easy. Definitely not. It's not the hardest in the game, but I would certainly not call it easy.
