  • what blades are you using and were did you buy the 12 blade from

  • @spacom2000

I made the blades myself out of ordinary pvc-pipe. The pipe-wall is quite thin, so they are not too heavy. Fun project!

  • Ive got a twelve blade 150 watt usawindgen on its way,I got a free upgrade from a six blade cause the guy is a decent human being, they look like they makes good use of the wind. You can get one at a good price where I got mine, and I bet that light will burn, along with a few more with wind like that.

  • You,ve done a great job on ,now all you need is a treadmill motor or a blue max generator and some 12 volt batteries and your in business .I've just got thru with a 32 blade pvc double rotor with a 7 to 1 wooden pulley ,the main drive pulley is 14 inchs wooden with a treadmill motor generator

  • What do you plan on doing with all that power.

  • @thra5herxb12s

It's only 3 watt, so its not so much. I just made tis turbine to test the torque and speed with 12 blades. The turbine is only powering a light bulb, and i'm not planning to connect it to a battery.

  • @Teciprac

I like it. I would have this lighting my yard at night.Try a big capacitor instead of a battery it will damp any surges. It looks like it was fun to build........

  • looks good
