Those creatures are more curious and nervous of you libragirl...its awesome floating there in diving gear and looking down even from the boat at 50 deep of water...so amazing!
This is upsetting. i was just in Maui last week and every snorkle shop, boat charter operator, concierge, scuba instructor said time and again to NEVER touch the animals or coral. The way the people in this video grabbed, picked up and chased the sealife is deplorable. Sickening.
My wife and I got a free trip to Hawaii for listening to one of those stupid condo presentations. We can go to either Maui or Oahu. We both snorkel but I love it. Which do you think would have the best waters? It would probably be in August.
I just came back from a trip to MAUI. Touching any sea creature is against the law. This is posted in any snorkling area. You must stay 10 ft form any whales, turtles and other sea creatures that are in danger. Please respect this
I am looking forward to my upcoming trip to Maui and the snorkeling trip, but I will have more respect for the sea life than these people who bothered them. If you MUST touch a creature, learn how to do it respectfully to the creature before you touch it.
Seriously people, look but don't touch! How would you like it if you were chillin in your living room when all of a sudden some creature 100 times your size came in and started manhandling you???
Typical of most snorkelers, manhandling sea creatures, startling and cornering turtles and picking up living starfish as if a toy. You people know not to touch, disturb any living thing in the sea, yet always do.
just what I was looking for to get pumped for snorkeling in maui, and this did it. awesome vid. I liked how she scared the crap out of that turtle too haha.
I wanted to do a Molokini trip when i visted maui, but we did a Kayak/Snokel trip in Makena instead..."turtletown!" First time i've seen a turtle up close...! We're going to do Molokini next time! Thx for sharing this...brah! :)
@dr1feel1good I went at the end of December, (by the way, the Tsunami year), and I sawa big turtle too! I was so happy that when I realized it was a turtle and not another tourist, swimming next to me, , I said to it: "I love you!". I was the only one from my group to see a turtle, because I went far from the boat. Thanx 4 this video.
I believe you! Isn't such a divine sensation to see one big turtle swimming next to you? They swim so happily and peacefully ignoring everything around that invites you to stay there for ever!
I love That Place The Water is crystal Clear Im Not Kidding And The Fish Are Amazinf and Hehe I saw a shark but it wasnt dangerous just reef shark haha a black fish chased me
yes. turtles are everywhere. they were on the endangered species list at one time but now are back in great numbers so they took them off the endangered species list and are only federally protected which calls for a fine of over 10,000.00 USD for any touching or harassing.

Why not back off a bit more to see how the animals live when NOT threatened by your nosiness and startling, relentless and overbearing prescence,
